Complete BT3 Info and Discussion Thread [UPDATED 10/02/07]
I am kind of sorry for ChiChi not being in, but Arale is really cool on the other hand.
Hm, for this multiple character picking: Is there any official statement which characters can be used multiple times? (Cooler makes sense, but Piccolo and so on would make sense, too in a way)
Plus, I heard a rumor that Piccolo will be able to throw his heavy clothing off for a powerboost (like transformation).
Is this true or just a false information?

It might keep Rocketman calm, if not I'll cheer him up with fanart.Leotaku wrote:I wonder if they called her KID Chichi because they were worried some people (like those who never watched early DragonBall before Chichi grew up) wouldn't recognize her. A lot of North American fans may not have watched DragonBall at all, and may only be familiar with the adult Chichi's appearance.Gaiash wrote: You could always play Super Dragon Ball Z. Plus the fact shes called Kid Chichi makes it seem like if another Sparking game is made Older Chichi might show up.
Although, I would also consider Gaiash's theory, too.

Calm down, I thought I read everything on the previous page so I went straight to the newest one, no need to be so angry.

Looks like Seventeen can do a double team attack with his sis, Eighteen, for an ultimate. Kind of reminds me of the 'Accel Dance' from Budokai 3. Hopefully Eighteen has something similar.
I also like how Freeza's battle damage shows how he appeared after Son Goku's moon sized spirit bomb hit him. What with his eye bruised shut and end of his tail missing.

Yes, and i got myself Bothered about this, I got the MP4 Trailer, and took some screenshots, look at this:Xyex wrote:Well, no, it's not going to ruin the game. But, I mean, they're giving us a dozen Goku's so that he properly fits in with the story... but Gohan gets both arms? How the hell does that make sense?Neon Z wrote:Doesn't the yellow outfit also change the symbol? I don't think it's a placeholder. The one-armed costume might be an unlockable in story mode, like Goku's costumes in B2, but I don't see why they'd keep that costume's existence so secretive if it really existed. His generic throw animation also worries me, of course.
In any case, It's not a big problem, it's just that F.Gohan will lose a bit of his uniqueness.
Also, did anyone else notice that Kid Chi-Chi is flying in the trailer? She's not flailing and she's not falling! Yay! Hopefully everyone gets this treatment!

Not Even Pan Can Fly so Fast, Maybe, noy even other DB character can make a dashing fly so fast

The auras are very nice this time around. By the way, screw Arale. She sucks. General Blue is awesome. Everyone has opinions, so let's stop bitching about what others are bitching about, it's contradicting. Everyone is entitled to their opinions and can speak it.

Arale's pure awesomeness. Anyways, this Dragon Ball game has seriously more than lived up to its expectations. This fall's gonna be cool.

Yeah, that's the whole "Z Burst Dash" thing. But I was refering more to the fact that, after her attacks, she was hovering instead of sinking like Goku, Roshi, etc did in BT2. 8 does as well and someone noticed Goku doing it. So I have high hopes everyone can fly now. ^_^Cypher wrote:I believe that that is a new gameplay feature, at least from the videos I've seen (the hyper dash flight, I mean)

<Kaboom> I'm just glad that he now sounds more like Invader Zim than Rita Repulsa
<Xyex> Original Freeza never sounded like a chick to me.
<Kaboom> Neither does Rita
<Xyex> Good point.

Actually, I prefered the way it was in BT2.Xyex wrote:Yeah, that's the whole "Z Burst Dash" thing. I was wondering in BT1 "Why can these people fly all of a sudden?" (okay, it was because of gameplay, but nevertheless it was kind of wrong)
Then in BT2 they couldn't "fly", but at least dashing through the air and so on.
I thought that it was kind of cool and didn't as much harm to the gameplay balance as I first thought it could do.
The only thing that was disturbing, was that any character who couldn't fly fell often down when you tried to start an air-combo...
If anyone can fly now, it's alright with me, but still I thought the solution of BT2 was really well made...
It would be cool if they made it optional like transformations in BT2 and so on - with optional settings no one can do anything wrong

About the non-flying characters flying instead of flailing, I think I saw Android 8 flying in that 8-minute trailer, too. Then again, I think someone mentioned that Android 8 already flew in one of the movies anyway. I never saw that movie myself though.
And complaints about the character roster? With an absolutely massive list of potential characters to use from a universe as large as DragonBall's, I think it would be awfully hard to please absolutely everyone. Once you get one character, you start whining over another. Then another, and another, and it keeps going on.
I say just be grateful for what's there; we're getting like 161 characters. Even if you weren't to include all the transformations as separate characters, that list is still insanely large compared to virtually every other fighting game. It wasn't that long ago that DragonBall games had rosters with sizes that were mere fractions of what we're getting here, and people still enjoyed those games. I think some of us are just getting too greedy.
I personally didn't get ALL the characters I wanted either (like more GT villains, and the rest of Bardock's team, to name a few), but I'm more than happy with who IS there.
