We are, but I remember you being hyped like everyone else when Rosé début in #56, a Tate supervised episode so I don't understand why you are taking issue with Tate supervising the supposed episode Goku's form début's in. Which might even début in #109 for all we know. Heck SSG début in a Yashima led episode yet SSG was the only thing in the episode not to look awful.SansrivaaL wrote:The issue is I.am.not.a.fan.of.his.work. period. I think we're free enough to have differences in taste right?Baggie_Saiyan wrote:What is even the issue? Tate handled the Rosé debut in #56 and got corrected, likely the same thing will happen here. Plus Tate can draw on model when he wants too. Tate being on the episode means we gonna get some great animation (hopefully something that finally surpasses his Golden Freeza cut!)SansrivaaL wrote:Oh God... why Tate... of all the people that could have been in the special that has the new forms debut... there goes my hype.

I hope 100% corrected tate for the special, please, I don't really wanna see the special consistency/immersion ruined by his usual subpar art
Same goes for yashima just in case he pops out

They chose him for the special, so I don't see them correcting him 100%.Probably only some moments as always.

I hope he gets corrected too his art is garbage Yamamuro should have been supervising his half.
Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 100
I think Yamamuro will be in there, probably doing some work on the new form. Kinda like his #39 role.

I was thinking last night, man it is kinda impressive that Nagamine will be doing 2 episodes in a span of 4 weeks. Well, looks like I got my answer, sadlyPsykomatik wrote:Guys, I’m sorry but instead i’m Missing something, it is Kazuya Karasawa and not Tatsuya Nagamine on that Animage leak...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 100

Speaking of Tate, is this how it would look like if he was the character designer?!

It's from that DBZ the real 4-D attraction that is taking place in Universal Studios Japan. Anyone knows the staff behind this?
The characters designs are a little sloppy for my taste, but the colors and the lack of highlights in character's skins are two things I love a lot here. Reminds me a lot of how DB/DBZ looked in that regard and it actually fixes my two problems with the OVA 2008 - Goku's skin is not light pink and nothing looks too bright.

A world without Dragon Ball is just boring.

I wonder if Toei knew it was gonna be a "special" when they started work on it or something Fujitv demanded fairly last minute, I mean the two specials kinda of were announced randomly and with very little hype until we got actual info, the whole thing was odd to me.Sodhi wrote:They chose him for the special, so I don't see them correcting him 100%.Probably only some moments as always.

https://mobile.twitter.com/Terez27/stat ... 0997059585 says it was One Piece that wanted to do it, so it's very well possible it was last minute.Baggie_Saiyan wrote:I wonder if Toei knew it was gonna be a "special" when they started work on it or something Fujitv demanded fairly last minute, I mean the two specials kinda of were announced randomly and with very little hype until we got actual info, the whole thing was odd to me.Sodhi wrote:They chose him for the special, so I don't see them correcting him 100%.Probably only some moments as always.

Hopefully Tate gets corrected or Yamamuro steps in and do the key animation himself of the transformation.
This is a moment where it should look absolutely on-model and detailed, something that Tate can't/don't want to do, even his stills are ugly sometimes, as also his rubber-like body proportions and movements.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 100
Yeah, the peak of the climax will probably be around 116-117 (a producer said the special is only the start of the climax), so it makes sense that Nagamine would prioritize that over the special. I wonder if Nagamine and Nakamura will team up for the climax peak like they are on 107 or not. It' be interesting to see Nakamura do the episode before and Nagamine do the peak.JulieYBM wrote:LOL, I guess that answers that. Maybe Nagamine will direct #117 or something, assuming the fight continues on past #110.

Yeah let's do the same on Shida, we correct him until his animation can't be recognized. That's good because his inbetweens are so derpy bla bla.....
Tate animation is probably going to be like the ToP OP with other people correcting him instead of Yama.
I'm bad at English and still learning. If there's anything wrong, please correct me.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 100
Super likes recycling things, can they please recycle the Samurai designs from the History of Japan special and do a TV special with an original plot?
I would be 100% down with that.
Speaking of, I wonder who did the designs, Yamamuro or someone else, like Ide.

I would be extremely surprised if he didn't appear in the special. He was credited as a key animator on episode 106. Of late, a lot of his stuff has been very limited, I hope he can do something solid in the special.cuartas wrote:by the way, is higashide appearing on the special, when was the las time he worked on an episode, last time I remember was goku vs one of the 3 witches?

I'm not talking about Shida, who, on the opposite of Tate, usually draws on model, and even when it's not, it still looks good and with nice details.Gashif Aldi wrote:

And, no, i'm not talking about inbetweens regarding Tate.
