Lord Frieza wrote:Also were is the grand betrayel thats going to fuck over U7? All I have read is that he wont help his team mates, or rather just Gohan. Or is this what this is really about? That Gohan is left to get his ass beat and you dont like that? U7 still has Frieza himself, #17, Goku and Vegeta. Gohan can be lost and not really hurt the overall team.
But the best part is, nowhere dose it say " Frieza Betrays His Team".
However what I said in the later part of my post still could ring true. Hateing saiyans is all well and good but its not going to save either one if their universe wins, one will still die. Also Frieza could just be playing Frost so he can beat him.
Of the Two, Frost may be a cheater and manipulater but Frieza is the true back stabber. If he dose not care about his own father to the point of thinking he's better off dead he'll have zero true loyalty to Frost.
Just like Caulifla getting SSGSS was stupid and Hit being jobbed was stupid and Toei "nerfed" him?
It amazes me we are 100+ episodes and people think they know everything before the episode airs, let us wait for the episode to actually air so we get proper context for things before calling things "beyond stupid".

I thought Hit taught Frost a lesson about that. And I doubt Frost would be so foolish to bring an illegal weapon to this tournament where his existence is on the stake.
The only way I can see Freeza being allowed to get away with turning against his universe is if the Zenos greenlight it for furthering the entertainment value of the tournament; their word is absolute afterall. Having Freeza battle Goku and others would be a spectacle to behold for everyone at the tournament. If there's any consequences it would entail Freeza being erased alongside whichever universe he chose to align himself with once they inevitably lose, my guess is Universe 6 if they don't survive this arc. Should they somehow do so, I would expect for Beerus, Vegeta, and the others of U7 to venture into U6 so they can hunt Freeza down for betraying them. What better reason to finally explore Universe 6, right?
Nah, Frieza is so much psichopath that could also delete himself just to see Goku in despair. He doesn't care and never did. Character are not logically driven, but passion driven, or nothing of Dragon Ball could proceed ("Goku, stop fighting and work" "Ok, that's correct").
I learned english listening to songs. So I don't know anything about. The day you had to learn play piano by just listening .mp3, you'll understand.
I personally hope Freeza does betray them because Freeza being redeemable just does not sit well with me. But since he is so popular I can see it happening. I hope not though. Some characters need to remain evil.

If Freeza does betray u7 it's just more evidence Toriyama is losing his mind. Why would Toei even sign up for that? It makes no sense. I don't think anybody wants to see that.
Unless it's a troll move for greater intentions. There has to be a greater reason for Freeza to betray u7 than his hatred for saiyans. That's the most childish shit ever for a character of that magnitude. Put a little effort into the story please..dont fuck it up.

Please, explain how this works.
When Super apparently shoves Goku down our throats:
Spoiler:
HeroR wrote:The characters in Super can work with Goku and they're treated like equals to him. Goku just being in the room doesn't take away from the character. In Z, the characters were so depended on Goku that they couldn't go an episode without mentioning him in some way even by hoping he will arrived, get better, training to get stronger, our last hope, being like him, ect. Goku was wanked to hell in Z, even when he wasn't in the room and everyone else was secondary to him. In fact, this was a major issue Goku had, which is why he didn't want to do anything in the Buu Saga.

I see no reason why this can't happen.
They would need a universe to live in I guess is my only draw back. Maybe they can just have their own new universe if it happened that way.
They get to control Universe 6 and 7 but the rest of the teams could get eliminated along with Beerus and Champa. They can then rule their own universe and be the God of destruction.
I am extremely cautious about this. This seems to be an episode which will either make or break Frieza in Super.
While originally I was disappointed, I can't help but admit that, if done right, it has tremendous potential. But like some other posters, I'm really in the 'wait and see' boat here.

I tried saying something like this in another thread and people ignored me. It really is annoying how people assume things will play out based on previews and such before the episode comes out. I only just started looking at previews around episode 96 or 97 and a few episodes later I realized its nonsense.
Right now, it seems stupid, but previews have been worded poorly, been misleading, focused on irrelevant and pointless details to make it seem like a big deal or just out right lied before. I don't think we should put much stock into anything until we see the episode.
Also Freeza's one of the few things imo that they've consistently gotten right in this arc, so for once i'm will to give dbs the benefit of the doubt.

I'm certain this scenario will be be in the manga as well. Freeza "betraying" Universe 7 is too big of a plot point to not be directly from Toriyama.

I still haven’t lived down going, “Who the heck is Tao Pai-pai?” that one time I was talking with Ei’ichiro Oda-kun. But the fact that there are still people reading the series after all this time… All I can say is; “thank you.” Really, that’s all.

And that you also have IMMENSELY skewed and comically backwards priorities in what you think is most important and needed to make a good Dragon Ball story.

The previews from Animage and Animedia are the most suspect. They're straight up made shit up before. I kind of wonder if the information about U6/U7 having 8 warriors is being misleading to hide any big eliminations, but on the other hand, why not just avoid mentioning who's left?
