No, I was hoping it wouldn't paint Beerus as massively more powerful than the other GoDs. It seems to paint them in a fairly even light, so I'm happy about that.sintzu wrote:Do you expect him to beat all of them up ? being able to just dodge that many strong beings is a very high accomplishment. so vegeta beating down black despite his zenkais and trunks actually doing shit in his own arc isnt something major... jesus u kidding mesintzu wrote:Vegeta hasn't been treated much better. hell fucking buu had one of the best fights in the arc agianst basil while he wont even have that in the manga

Why is Vegeta doing this major? Is there a an implication for the narrative or character I'm not seeing? If this fight didn't exist, what would be taken away (From a narrative stand point)?sintzu wrote:If Vegeta or anyone being able to put up a fight against Beerus and even getting a hit in isn't major then nothing is.Kanassa wrote:I would say what is considered 'major' is very subjective in this case.
I'd say plenty of other characters have been major in this tournament so far.

The word "filler" doesn't exist in Dragon Ball Super. Just watch Hit's fight vs Dyspo and Kunshi, he used the same techniques he used on Goku.Totamo wrote:Is this suppose to be the exhibition match of the manga? Because if it is, there is no way, Toei would have been able to animate that.
But we spent 5 episodes on that shit, man. Please don't tell me it was filler, I will be so upset!!!

1) Vegeta vs Beerus.
2) Gods fighting each other.
I'm 100% that some of wasted the characters, especially those from U7, will be treated like they should instead of going down because they "dropped their guard".
What does Vegeta VS Beerus accomplish that puts it above the anime?
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
I'm glad we didn't have buu vs basil or gohan vs lavender since those fight were worthless and felt like pathetic bone throw. And for crying out loud toyo does not decide who's revelant, its all toriyama,if he said piccolo fight against the namekians then he will have that in the manga,AT brought these character for a reason

Beerus taking on all the other Hakaishins looks like it'll be a treat, but I think for the purposes of retaining the mystique of the other Hakaishin from the universes (excluding Champa), a scenario like that shouldn't have happened. But (and here come the bias), I love Beerus as a character. And seeing him hold his own against every other Hakaishin is just so awesome and badass that I just can't not appreciate Toyotaro pulling this major scene out for him. Not really much else to get out of the manga leaks so far, but I'm very much looking forward to what the rest of the chapter may bring in terms of a different perspective for building up to the Tournament of Power.

My guess is that Beerus and another GoD will be the last two standing and then Beerus will lose, and then they mention the thing about there being a mortal stronger than a GoD from another universe and specify that it's the one that the GoD that beat Beerus is from.

Black got right back up and cornered Vegeta with his clones and Goku needed to be forced into the scene to help him. We wouldn't have seen Vegeta catching up to Goku and we wouldn't have known how close or far they are from Beerus.

That depens on what you mean by being 'treated right'.The manga treats Vegeta better but at the expense of making the antagonists/villains pathetic.sintzu wrote:

And while the manga treats Vegeta better,he is still being treated very well in the anime too, so he is far from not being 'treated right'.
You are talking like your character is dying of thirst in the anime, you can't compare it to characters like Gohan and Piccolo who have been casted aside to the deuteragonist(whatever it is in the manga or anime) in terms of who needs to be 'treated right'.
Because whatever it is the manga or anime Vegeta sure is not one of the characters that needs to be treated more right,he has gotten more than enough.

In the anime's Champa arc he looked like nothing when Goku used the Kaioken while in the manga they made it clear he could've handled Hit if he didn't waste Blue on Cabba. In the Zamasu arc he was owned left and right form start to finish while in the manga he beat Black twice and was the one who destroyed Zamasu's bodies before they multiplied. In the current arc he's done nothing worth mentioning while in the manga he fought Berrus and got a hit in.Whatever wrote:While the manga treats Vegeta better,he is still being treated very well in the anime too, so he is far from not being 'treated right'.

Vegeta already punched Beerus in the BOG arc several times and that lead to nothing. Then he punched Beerus again when sparring with him, in a much stronger state then the last time they tangled, and Beerus just tanked it like nothing and sent Vegeta to the ground.sintzu wrote:How is it not major ? Black didn't overpower vegeta with another zenkai hell his scythe was blocked by vegeta
Goku coming didn't amount to shit considering the clones were pressuring both of them not did he did better against black
Trunks asspulls were bad but I take that than him doing something than nothing of note in the manga
Trunks in the anime took a shit on the notion of it being the goku and vegeta show
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
The concept of having all the God's fighting is waaaaay better than what the anime did. BUUUUUT! I don't like how Beerus appears to be better than them. I'm not hating or anything just yet, just giving 2 cents. What the anime got right was making them all appear equal when 3 fought. I'll wait to see the whole thing, but while this is really damn cool, I hope it's not Beerus beats everyone.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

I think it's too soon to say they won't, but I could see them not happening more than I did before. I wouldn't be glad though, they were cool. Him destroying zamasu bodies isn't all that much considering it made things worse

I'm just happy the manga's doing its own thing with this arc. Maybe this is the manga arc I'll like more than the anime version.
On hiatus.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super (Manga)" Official Discussion Thread
He got owned two times. Once he got caught by surprise when Black suddenly pulled out the Blade, just before Black goes on to own everyone else. Second time was Merged Zamasu, who owned Vegeta while owning Goku as well. To say Vegeta was owned left and right in the Zamasu arc is outright false.sintzu wrote:In the Zamasu arc he was owned left and right form start to finish
