1.) Gotenks: Not seeing Goten/Trunks taking seperate slots. They could work as a team, but Gotenks has more interesting moves alone, then the two of them seperatedly.
2.) Ultimate Gohan: Yep, obvously. Still, it goes against their no duplicate characters rule. Except, he has longer limbs now, some different moves, and he could even turn into the Great Saiyaman for a super move. They have to make a 3D model of him for the storymode anyway, even if he is not included.
3.) Kid Buu: He is not fat Buu, and the final villain of DBZ, with all those limb-stretching moves. I can only see him not included if they go with Super Buu instead.
4.) Beerus: Although his moveset is not that unique, it's at least a bit different, and his character design stands out from the cast. He is also really popular.
5.) Hit: Popular, and his fighting style is without the conventional Dragon Ball stuff. Not just the time skip, and the close range moves, but he also has a time barrier, and his invisible shockwave, which is an instant kill in the anime.
6.) Black: He has like 3 types of energy weapons he can create, and even that portal thing. Zamasu could work as assist for him, and on of his super moves could be Merged Zamasu with that bullet rain attack.
7.) Magetta: Because ArcSys' tradition of including unexpected characters. He is much larger then even #16. He could work as the "Juggernaut" or "Abigail" of DBFZ, with giant hitboxes, slow speed, and armor on many of his moves.
8.) Ginyuu Force: Ginyuu has no interesting moves, besides his body change, but add his 4 team members as assists, and now he is an unique and fun character. Saiyan/Freeza sagas also need a representation other then Yamcha and maybe Freeza.
1.) Gotenks: Prominent in the Buu saga, very unique moveset, Goten and Kid Trunks unlikely to get a slot
2.) Muten Roshi: Unique Moveset, Prominent in Super Materials
3.) Teen Gohan: Prominent in Buu Saga, Director's favorite character
4.) Hit: Unique Moveset, prominent in Super
5.) Beerus: Popular, Prominent in Super, semi-unique Moveset
6.) Black w/Zamasu: Prominent in Super, Unique Moveset
7.) Broly: VERY POPULAR, Unique Moveset
8.) Videl: Unique Moveset, Female Character, part of Director's favorite arc

It's Tomoko Hiromi and she's the producer. Now I'm wondering what if we get Saiyaman instead of regular adult Gohan

So is it confirmed yet whether the game will be dubbed or not? I thought I heard on the TFS stream it will be, but I was pretty drowsy. I heard Guilty Gear and BlazBlue don't have dubs so they may just always be like that. Dunno.
Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

I agree with all of this barring Magetta. Don't get me wrong it's a fun idea, but they won't be that brave. More likely Broly will fill that niche if anyone does.KayDash wrote:Okay, since we started predicting, I'll do mine, with commentary on why I think they could fit, so that way at least it's more then a pure wishlist.

Apart from that, I'd also really hope to see Mr Satan, him getting in as the Dan Hibiki is practically tradition. I don't see anyone from GT or the current arc of Super getting in except as DLC. If that were to happen, I'd pick Kid Goku and Omega Shenron for the former, Caulfila and Toppo for the latter. Kale could be an alternate Broly skin.

Yeah, I know, but it's ArcSys, the developer which picked Heart, a weak minor henchman for their Fist of the Northstar game, because he made sense as big/slow type character.Kataphrut wrote:

But you are right, Brolly could take his place or even Recoom, if they aren't planning a combined Ginyuu Force character.

And Roshi was an old pervert who spent his days craving young women to nearly rape and lived with a giant Turtle and Kuririn was a no nose bullied-easy to scare character and Goku was a no nonsense mountain child who was incredbly gulible and dumb in the way the world worked. Well, they still are, some gags don`t mature.KorgDTR2000 wrote:Yamcha was a joke from the beginning. In his first fight he forfeited because he was scared of girls. In his second fight he threw a fit when a tooth was knocked out. His whole goal was in using the Dragon Balls to wish for something incredibly stupid. It was all a joke.
Dragonball was pure comedy adventure when it started. People today trying to rationalize that are up to failure.
He had three brief rounds with the main character where they looked to be in the same ballpark, saves Bulma and Goku from Boss Rabbit and ends up saving the world by stopping the Oozaru. To disregard this because of gag elements in the story and characters - which is always a Toryama narrative signature in every single one of his works - is to disregard something noteworthy of Roshi because of the gag elements around him.
KorgDTR2000 wrote:Once his initial goal was achieved (by hooking up with Bulma) his character became a bum and the joke turned meta. Look at how pathetic Yamcha is for getting beaten in the first round three times in a row.
Look at how pathetic he is for needing his girlfriend's boobs to save him from being beaten up by an invisible man.
Yes, let`s.
21rst Bodukai = This is Yamcha with no offical training under a master who gets dealt easily by Shun but gets lip service from Goku as someone strong who fought him previously to sell how great Shun was. Shun wins the Tournament.
22nd Bokudai = Gives Tenshinhan his greater challenge until that point (lip service from Tenshinhan), lip service from the lesser fighters (gathering for the initial rounds), lip service from Kuririn (after his fight when he considers both of them equals), lip service from Roshi ( both during his fight and after Kuririn`s own round). The narration in the opening of both chapters of the YamchaxTen bout, particularly the second, gives again lip service at the power in display by both figthers when Yamcha does the Kamehameha, calling it "frigthening".
In the same bodukai he also masters the main move of the Manga, without being taught at (being the second character to do so and the first to master it the first time he uses it - both Goku who copies it and Kuririn who tries it out of desperation fail to master it the first time). Again, lip service of Yamcha from narration and characters watching it save Goku who was sure he would pull it.
This is with three years of training between Baba`s set and the Bodukai. In three years he jumped from someone with no training but who went still further in Baba`s set, to someone that, in my estimation, looked slighly superior to Kuririn who didn`t have the Ki control or move mastery that both Yamcha and Chiatzu showcased. Also, Yamcha`s fight with Tenhinhan was more "real" and savage than Kuririn`s fight with Goku by proxis alone of hating each others guts on first impression. Anyhow, Tenshinhan? Winner of the Tournament.
And lastly Baba`s set. where it was perfectly clear he could beat Invisible Man on his own when Baba starts to loudy sing to throw away hearing the opponent`s foosteps. Bulma`s boobs are there as are Yamcha`s idea of Puar to defeat Dracula Man when Kuririn was quickly made short work out in that first round. Yamcha - again with no formal training at this point - is the focal point in moving throught the first two rounds and goes to the third where he fights the Mummy. Who defeats the and wins that Tournament? Goku.
Pattern: His exclusion always leads to the winners of Tournaments or are always against characters as strong (i.e: God).
The same Gero who was confident he could survive Vegeta if he kept using the energy stolen, who had a drop on Piccolo and would have stolen more energy if it wasn`t Gohan saving him and whose bulkier partner was beating Goku the same way? Who came back and warned them? Oh yeah.KorgDTR2000 wrote:Look at how much stronger everyone else is than him. He was basically written out of the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai fight when he was sent to the hospital and he was totally pointless during the subsequent Piccolo arc. He didn't get to show up at the five year reunion and then the Saibaman happened. After that he got cuckolded by Vegeta and impaled by Gero. Just as a recap, facing the major villains of the series he was either out of the action entirely (Red Ribbon Army, Piccolo, Freeza, Boo) or he was dispatched immediately by a weaker character (Saibaman, Gero). That's like getting killed by Dodoria.
The same Saibamen who could have killed Tenshinhan when he had his back turned.
It`s not only yamcha that is "missing" in action in those arcs and we all know it. The whole cast went to help Goku against the RR until they arrived only to find out he had already beat them and in the other he does go to help with the broken leg. How much weaker he is than everybody else? His arm broke as easily as Vegeta`s arm against #18. He was shown putting some fight against the Cell Jr unlike Kuririn who is almost always billed a stronger. Which reminds me, nothing speaks more cuckold than watching your wife flirt with the ex and then decide to make a baby out of it. A real sensitive manly man to collect with all the tears of fights he ran away from.
A reason that, correct me if I am wrong, in a revision of the first arc in Path of Power is completely left out. Anyhow they face after and before the tooth panel and seem on equal ground.KorgDTR2000 wrote:At his introduction Yamcha's dream was to get married and he was passionate about the martial arts. By the time he reached his forties he was unmarried and had given up fighting. Totally pathetic from head to toe. He didn't even get the grace Tenshinhan did by being legitimately imposing in his first appearance. While he got the upper hand on Goku there was an explicit reason given that negated the victory.
Roshi still struggles being a pervert/rapistKorgDTR2000 wrote:Yamcha has always been a joke, he's always been pathetic and the only good grace he has is that he's a really nice guy.
Goku still struggles being more than a world class ignorant who`s never kissed the wife he`s had children with.
Vegeta still runs his mouth to lose any major fight he`s had and is a cuck.
Tenshinhan is still the most awkward man on Earth who lives with Chiatzu.
Chichi is the ephitome of mother goose on steroids.
Freeza is the ultimate cheater who never got there with hard work, a role very much in use in Shonen and often disrespectful.
I can tell jokes about nearly all of them.
Conclusion, any argument about whereas Yamcha deserves the inclusion in a fighting Dragonball based game is futile. He`s a classic, iconic character with unique moves and a cool design. Him being weaker than aliens isn`t a reasonable justification of not being present in such a game where his current status quo doesn`t erase what he`s done and the novelties he brough in. He`s Dragonball gentleman thief

I think, it will be around 12-16 stages.
I wanna see: Future in Ruins, Kame House, Kami Lookout, Korin's Place and the Nameless Planet. Strange and very unlikely, but also I want to see Demon's Toilet from Uranai Baba arc and Penguin Village.
Of the ones you mention: Future in ruins, Penguin Village and Demon`s toilet for me. Oh, since I responded to a post mentioning the RR army, how about their base?

At least, it seems we'll have one more version of Rocky Fields. And as I said, one more arena was shown in the first trailer, but not present in the game curretly. You can see it on here on 0:46: https://youtu.be/kCnNnSiMoKs

I'm 99% sure they never fought on that location either on the manga and movies. It's likely just their way of having "Space" as a stage, since they need a footing for the characters.Ranmaru Rei wrote:Btw, have anyone any idea, what is arena and why it is not in the game yet?

We were confirmed more than 10 stages for the game by the producer, there's quite a few coming. Hell of Janemba's movie would be a cool stage. Maybe Kaio's planet. Master Roshi's island has to be there!

Wouldn`t mind a Outherworld stage Arena like the ones Goku and Paikuhan fought or the TOP arena (actually, that one is likely) but that`s wishing too much, we got enough Tournament arenas as it is and I rather have the Demon`s Pit as an alternative since at least it`s a different aesthetic.
