I hope the Calendar means Brianne survives the TV Special and battles the Saiyan Girls, with the right directing it could be the stealer of the ToP.

Damon might be that strong Ningen if he is in that group, maybe he evolves ala Cell, Baby and becomes stronger than Jiren?


I'm all for Quitela being the main villain.

They look about the same to me. I think the perspective in the calendar is hiding how round he is.

Little guy is actually kinda cute.

With the width of the shoulders in the opening he shouldn't look like that and his head definitely shouldn't be over his shoulder.

Indeed I always believed that with ALL this marketing and Promotions that Toei was taking Ribrianne Seriously, Heck she is a exact Homage and her Team is to Sailor Moon and Precure, both of which are made and sold by Toei and is a Mega Franshice Level Both like Dragon Ball!

It would be hard to believe the Very Studio that build the Magical Girl forumual that finally put their own Dragon Ball Version of a Magical Girl into the Dragon Ball Mythos would get rid of her so easy. I get the fear of it, after Frost it seem many big names can go, but while I will always have Cautios Opimimus about what might happen with Ribrianne and the Special and what might go down, I Still Firmly believe that when you want to know WHO Toei is taking seriously as being their ALL-STAR and Longest-Lasting Cast in the ToP;

JUST Look Towards MARKETING, where their hoping to Make their Money!

With this Calendar it Gives me more belief in this as well that Ribrianne will be OK, but Also that U4 will play a Major Role in this as well. Quitela the GoD of Universe 4 came off in the Lead-Up to the ToP as a Major Mastermind Villain IMO and I felt they might pull some sneaky moves and/or have a plan under the belts and with this Calendar as well it give me more hope that might be the Case!

I like Ribrianne's Sailor Moon/Precure parody mash-up shtick; especially because it's Toei doing it so I'll be happy if she survives the double-episode.

I am still getting into Precure but I am Liking what I am seeing from all the Seasons, they also took allot of Fighting Ideals from Dragon Ball and it works with they girls well! Also I have been a Major Big Sailor Moon Fan since the mid 1990's, so when Dragon Ball my other Favorite Anime decided to Bring Magical Girls to their Mythos, of Course I think that was the Coolest Thing Ever, Been Waiting for this for 20 Years!

So indeed I am enjoying and getting all the Homages Ribrianne and her team is doing in this ToP.

Since Toei is doing this and they built the they built the Magical Girl House, I can't see much reason why they would want her to go so soon. But that can be just Hope ~~~~ BUT when you combine it with Major Adds of Promotion like this Calendar as her being one of the chosen few to grace it, combine that with the Dragon Ball Heroes Game, the V-Jump, they Hype built and the amount of story and focus already given to her, it hard to see her going so easy in the special.

Again, Anything can happen and this can all be wrong, but I firmly believe like Vegeta Fans believed for 107 that she will not go yet and she will be one of the Main Stars by the Final Fighters of this.

I think it has to be more then just one or 2 ads to add this all up, yes 1 magazine ad can throw us off with characters like Frost being their so that can mess us Up. I think what is needed is what I call Constant Adds and Promotions of ceratin characters, mainly the New Ones!

The ones already Known like Frost, Cabba and Hit we have known for awhile so their promotions are all over the place so it is hard to tell how they will fair cause they are standard now. But when it comes to new characters intro in the ToP, you have to look at who has been the most advertised and the most Constant in those ad, as well as Marketing, Merchandise like Dragon Ball Heroes and other Promotions and Story Highlights, Espically the New Characters.

Most of those have been;

Caulifla
Kale
Ribrianne/Brianne de Chateau
Jiren
Toppo
Freeza (I am counting him as NEW cause he has been Dead and out of Action for so Long!)

Now I am worried we don't see Frieza or Toppo in this Calendar, but I still feel their has been enough ads and promotions of them to keep them safe.

NOW this is the 1st Major one with Damon, so this Calendar, Just like with My Girl Ribrianne, can be a Foretelling or a Red Herring towards what might happen next. But one major thing about it is this, this is calendar for next year 2018 and the Image is for November and December of 2018, a FULL YEAR after the ToP is set to End. IMO that image is one of Characters I feel Toei WANTS you to remember that where Important in the ToP arc and look back on it just like with the other images from the other arcs in the Calendar and in those they show WHO WAS Important in those arcs ALREADY!

I also agree with you on the List you said, THOSE are the most likely and Most Interesting chooses for Toei to choose as the Final 10. REMEMBER, it can't just any 10 you have to have ones many have become Invested in and Toei will want this to be a vehicle to launch NEW Characters, SO who has had the most Story so far given to them?!

The reason why you should not use the calendar for evidence is becuase it is outdated. It would have Goku's new form for a start if it was giving away everything. They left out Roshi and Tien in the previous picture and what about Toppo and Dyspo. They have taken one each from Universes 2, 4 and 11 and the new Saiyans. It is no real surprise who is actually on that calender.

Wow these of f**king dreadful. Why. Why has this promo artist come back and why are they literally doing EVERYHTING now? Who. Who at Toei/Shueisha/Whomever is signing this shit off? It is embarrassing to see this garbage used to promote the show around Japan. I can understand them not caring and letting them do the international BD cover art for like FUNi etc, but to have this person as your main promo art guy to promote the show in your own Japan...yikes.

I did mention in my posts it could have red herringness to it, that while it should be celebrated we also need Cautious Optimism as well. I also would not think it is giving away everything, that while they do not have Goku's new form they might have been making these before the final design was decided on that but still to go ahead and save that for other produces.

It also does not have toppo in it, so indeed it only gives insight to a few but not all either. It is one piece of a puzzle that maybe, but one that we can't ignore but can't take as being a big be all either. We will see what happens but it has sparked interest.

See, this is why we can't have nice things This is what starts wrong hype and gets people (Youtubers, etc.) into a snowball effect in terms of expectations and when it doesn't happen: "Boo, bad writing!". There's no need for every single character to have a transformation. Toriyama is in the "less is more" train in terms of designs, and actually I'm super excited to have a really simple, small character who's ability and defense mechanism is his size and "invisibility". We don't now too much about him yet, outside of being a cicada insect warrior who can selfdestruct and change his skin like actual cicada bugs.

In terms of the calendar art, I don't find anything wrong. Looks cool, imo.

I don't think it's a bad idea, Toei is handling Freeza very well in this saga. Bad idea is to dedicate a movie about Freeza's return, kill him in the same movie and not add anything interesting to the lore.

As I said when it was first revealed that Frieza would be here, I personally see no way they could possibly handle his return that wouldn't piss me off entirely. Even if he somehow gets the greatest fight in DB history I'd still be pissed that it was wasted on Frieza and not given to someone actually deserving of more spotlight.
