When I first read your post, I figured the link would be to some stupid DragonBall music video. But, that was actually really cool. If you just work on the grammer you'll be fine here. :D

I randomly posted this in a topic a couple of months back. I love the song (Marissa Stole the Precious Thing) and Freeza's voice only makes it better!

That's not what a MAD is (I'm not even sure that there is a proper term for what you've linked to; they're just silly mash-ups/remixes). Here are a couple examples of real MADs:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hYww6i6VxBQ
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=96547
RELEASE; piano's recreation of the first Bleach opening with Cardcaptor Sakura

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H4Mes0mCV1g
http://www.animemusicvideos.org/members ... hp?v=47463
Secret Waltz; probably what the American AMVers first saw of pianos and GUNMA

I've never seen a real DBZ MAD, although I would absolutely love to. It's probably due to the lack of high-resolution artbooks and such to create it with... Jeff and Meri and I have talked about this quite a bit :).

well, acording to Wikipedia:
Types of MAD Movies
MAD Movies can be divided into a number of subcategories. MADs are also not limited to a single category, but can be a member of multiple categories.

Anime MAD (アニメMAD, also known as MADアニメ MAD Anime or 動画MAD Dōga MAD)
Perhaps the most common type of MADs, these are roughly the equivalent of Anime Music Videos. It is basically anime footage edited to some music. Some use elaborate video techniques resembling opening video themes of professional anime.

Still Picture MAD (静止画MAD Seishiga MAD)
These MADs use images as the video source. The images are often taken from visual novels or eroge, and they usually contain extensive animation and effects work in order to create a video from the images

Unison MAD
These MADs take the opening sequence from an anime and recreate it using a different video source.

Neta MAD (ネタMAD)
These MADs usually contain a quick joke. They are often 15 or 30 seconds in length
well, maybe i was wrong of the video i linked, but, the fact is, there´s some clips from anime, who are parodies, not necesary involving music, but, maybe i could be something like this

http://youtube.com/watch?v=ci1Pr9I1-bM NANOHA VS FRIEZA

and here is a classic one

http://youtube.com/watch?v=0g7a97u_Mu0 PRECURE VS FRIEZA

i can say, the work is great, but, these videos are MADS??

VegettoEX, those are awesome.

Too bad all the other MADs I can find on YouTube are simply wannabe MADs. They just take an opening and just replace the music. It sucks.

You want a MAD? Here's a MAD!

I haven't seen any MAD's for DB either. I guess it's just more popular to do with the more recent anime...Lucky Star and Haruhi MAD's are all over the place.

I've seen quite a few videos that try to look like the 2nd Death Note OP (yes, the wild screaming death metal one). I think to do a Dragonball one would be hard because not many shows have the same sort of animation style and quality level. It would probably have to be meshed with some show of a similar age to be believable.

Wow! That Bleach/Cardcaptor Sakura one was amazing! Man, I would LOVE to work on a project like this! Hey, if anyone is thinking of making a Dragonball one like this and needs some still art for it, throw me a line!

Nothing really different from what we all use. In fact, they use older versions of programs than what we use (I think some of pianos' stuff was done in After Effects 4.0, or something).

It's all a matter of your imagination. Programs are nothing more than tools with which to make your imagination come to life... or in this case, video.

The Card Captors one looks like there was a lot of photoshop work done.
