It was popular but the reception was pretty weak at the time. People weren't overly impressed with the Battle of Gods saga and probably a lot of people would say the Resurrection F saga was the worst saga they've done outside of GT.
The Universe 6 saga had a better reception but it wasn't exactly great.
It was only starting with the Future Trunks saga did it start to turn around quite a lot. The rating on Myanimelist which has been constantly decreasing, began to do the reverse once that sagas started.
It was exactly what the show needed at the time.

It was cheesy and also killed PLs for the 329402349th time due to Trunks surpassing Vegetto(LB Goku and Jiren might be confirmed above Vegetto if LB Goku is born due to absorbing the Genkidama like Trunks), but it was still a cool moment.
I will be pleased with the TV Special if the animation and directing is as good as Episode 107.

We haven't gotten our equivalent of the One Piece ad where they compared Luffy vs Sanji to Julius Caesar and Brutus (and daVinci's The Last Supper) so I'm expecting there to be a full three minute ad for dbs too. It'll probably be mostly text like the One Piece ad is, but it'd be strange for them to get one and us not to considering it's been double billed.
Aha. Makes sense. And it would only be fair if we too, got our second trailer just like OP did indeed. I'm guessing on off-weeks they usually do it around the same time the episode would have aired, i.e. Saturday night for us. 3 minutes is something pretty big! I sure hope it happens!

Zamasu no sold the Final Kamehameha, while Trunks 2 shotted him, logically speaking Trunks gained more raw strength than Vegetto, and dont bring the whole Zamasu was deforming, it wasnt even close to how Father was deforming in FMAB.

How one character breaks down in one show doesn't have any baring on how the other breaks down in another show. They're both obviously going to have different ways of representing falling apart.

That could be a possibility. But even with the assumption that he wasn't falling apart and shouldn't have been cut down by Trunks, or using the assumption that Trunks got insanely stronger, I was only pointing out that we shouldn't use the way other shows choose to depict certain things to make a conclusion about a different show, Dragonball or other wise.

Technically speaking neither of them destroyed Zamasu's existence :^)
Actually ya' know what, here's my head canon that I just thought of on the fly and I'm feeling like being a little shit.
Of course the Final Kamehameha didn't work, would any blast? Vegetto showcased that Zamasu's body can be cut through while telling us Zamasu ain't immortal anymore (at least to their knowledge his physical body isn't immortal)
What difference is this

Okay but I'm not talking about how they were powered, that doesn't change the fact his body is able to be cut through. Long before that Zamasu's body was cut through by Trunks with his sword being empowered by nothing.

It don't matter if its wood or metal, you can use either to cut through our own bodies. We're not going to put Yajirobe on Vegeta's level now just because he could cut through his thick Oozaru tail now are we? What was that blade being empowered by?

Looks pretty nuts man. One week down, one more to go. Hang in there gents. All our questions or none will be answered.
The fighting looks so fast paced and fluid. At least in the preview. Hope it's a thing throughout the entirety of the episodes.
Also gokus shirt is ripped. Things about to get intense!

Huh? Goku uses Genki-Dama in base form after all.
Also, it seems the new form comes after it?
Anyways, hopefully we get a proper name for the new transformation.

Yea should be soon. For me I think the most interesting shot was the flash of light covering Goku after he fires the genki dama...almost looks like it consumes him right?

No wrong. In the second shot you can clearly see SSJ Blue Kaioken Goku pushing the Spirit Bomb further. So my guess is he gathers the energy while in Base, and then when the energy ball is nearly approaching Jiren he quickly turns SSJ Blue Kaioken X20 to push it towards Jiren.

So he was in base form when he got hit, so I guess that's why his new form look like that. Interesting. So all this time I was expecting something other than the poster.
