Nothing in the scene/dialogue implied that Merged Zamasu was weakened when he fought Future Trunks, he didn't show signs of being exhausted or worn out. Don't know why people insist in that. "Sword Of Hope" or whatever the name is was show to be more efficient than Vegetto Blue's Final Kamehameha, so yes Future Trunks has surpassed Vegetto.
Immorality breaking down
Fusion was becoming unstable
Speed was shit
Losing his shit in general
Pretty much indicates he was not at his best

- He still could regenerate himself
- Not show
- But still Vegetto couldn't do any major damage
- He was losing his shit since the very beginning
Nothing clearly indicated that Merged Zamasu was weakened when Trunks came to fight him.
Are we too old to enjoy new Dragon Ball movies/series?

Guys, I'm going to be straight with you. If you feel the show has gotten 'silly' ... it hasn't. You're just 'too old for this shit'. Seriously, 95% of the people in those boards do not fit the target demographic of the show, so don't expect the show to be 'everything you hoped for'. I'm referring to the people here who expect Super to be rich with dark moments, serious storytelling, meaningful characters etc etc. It won't. It's a show for kids. A show for kids being kids. Everyone in those boards has a manchild in him/her, clamoring to get out, and that's fine. But having unrealistic expectations (such as believing the show grew up alongside you) is naïve at best. Honestly, do you take seriously a story where the supposed God of Destruction halts his urges to blow up stuff in order to eat ice cream sundae? That's the show's silliness at full force, take it for what it is. The show hasn't matured one bit, so don't expect it too. Again, I'm not saying that's a bad thing. I'm saying *that* is DB and always will be.

Pretty much. But it seems that unless the show tells us, it didn't happened.
Didn't we have thread talked about how Super should show not tell, but when it does that people complained about the show not telling us stuff?

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

I disagree, it's the pinnacle of awesomeness! And of originality aswell! It has a multi-colored aura, that's quite fleshy, yet seems to surround his body, like Beerus' does aswell. And it's the first "transformation" that keeps Goku's black hair in base. It even has silver eyes that seem completely different from the rest of his body. This is quite original, and highly creative. Yes, Simple, but with style!
Cool? Yeah. Original, no. And SSJ4 had black hair too.

SSJ4 is non-canon. So that argument is already invalid. And you're wrong, it IS an original design.
I wonder, will we get an arc similar to the one with Hit where Goku tries to have a no-holds barred rematch with Jiren? Because Jiren is even more handicapped here than Hit was in the U6 tournament (no flight as well as no killing) and he's still set to stomp Goku's shit in.
Also, hiring an assassin is one thing, but how will Goku lure out a superhero for a rematch? Rob a bank ?

Discussion about aesthetics and design:
Counters with “non-canon” argument in 2017.
What's wrong with that? I don't see the logic here.
You were discussing about the form's design not its origins and backstory but you used an argument that has nothing to do with it just for the sake of it...
Also just because SSJ4 is non canon doesnt mean it cant be used in topics about transformations in DB as a whole, it is still a tranformation and SSJ4 is a hell of a lot more original than what we got, tho SSJ4 is like the exaggerated version while this one is on the simple side.

It looks good in the promotional posters but in the image above...it's just Goku with a slightly different looking aura and different colour irises.
For all the complaining people did with Super Saiyan God and Super Saiyan Blue, they at least had completely unique colours, with a unique and colourful aura. They stand out and are noticeable.
This new form is either gonna look good or its going to be one of the laziest designs for a new transformation ever. Goku with silver eyes and a slightly different aura.
The preview of 111 ask if Goku can master the new form/skill. I think the black hair will be the imperfect form.
Later Goku will perfect the form with Silver hair. I'm sure about it !

Goku: Chi-Chi, I need you to pretend to be a hostage
Chi-chi: Oh, is it Friday night already?
Goku: NOT THAT TYPE OF HOSTAGE!

The cannonicity of a form has NOTHING to do with the quality of the form's design and aestetics.
When Super apparently shoves Goku down our throats:
Spoiler:
HeroR wrote:The characters in Super can work with Goku and they're treated like equals to him. Goku just being in the room doesn't take away from the character. In Z, the characters were so depended on Goku that they couldn't go an episode without mentioning him in some way even by hoping he will arrived, get better, training to get stronger, our last hope, being like him, ect. Goku was wanked to hell in Z, even when he wasn't in the room and everyone else was secondary to him. In fact, this was a major issue Goku had, which is why he didn't want to do anything in the Buu Saga.

New summaries for 111 and 112. Not a whole lot here. Hit powers up time skip, Monna uses high speed tackles, and Frieza is a grump. Nothing for 112 and 113.
I'm really confused, how is having "Mastery over Self-Movement" going to make Goku stronger? Yeah it may make him tougher to beat, but just because you can react faster won't make you the automatic winner. Is the new form stronger or what?

It doesn't grant a power boost, it does, however, make him a near impossible to defeat opponent.
MagmonKai wrote:So kind of like the mortal Whis was talking about? Interesting...
You don't need to be strong, or powerful, or have a large ki rating.. When you have this ability, it's an automatic win for you over anyone who doesn't possess it. (At least in 99% of all cases).
