His combos, "in-the-face" Galick Gun in between combos, he seems faster and stuff. I could be wrong because I sold the last game when Meteor was announced, but he does seem diferent.

I have a new video as well. Looks like you can teleport before you release a charged hit. I hope they amp up the difficulty of computer so I can participate extreme super speed battles similar to Legends. Oh, and I cracked up when Goku got knocked back for barely touching Gohan's barrier.

If not a goof for Victory (they're only one character off in Japanese, and said character is only different by a diacritical mark), then it could be a pun.

The Japanese word for tree is "ki," which makes it a homophone for "ki" as in the energy/life force concept. I remember there was a joke where Mister Satan confused the two words, but I don't think it had anything to do with Trunks.

From what I've seen yes, the 30 stages include the day/night stages in the count. Not every stage has day and night versions. Namek doesn't, nor does Hell, Space, or the RoSaT.
Huh... did you even read my message? I did consider the stages which won't be changed.

Using just the BT2 stages, which are all returning, you get 35 by triplicating the 10 stages which can have the three times of the day + adding the 5 unchanging ones. Now, add the 3 new stages which have variations (desert, capital and Gohan's house) and you get 44... Add the space and hell levels, and you get 46.

If they were counting the variations, there's no way they'd be advertising a number as low as 30.
Look how much they hype up their 161 'characters'.
That's completely different though. From a gameplay standpoint, transformations are completely different characters in Tenkaichi's engine- even the basic melee is usually changed around by a transformation. That's why they need that small break in the action to 'load' a new form- unlike in the Budokai series.

That's a mistranslation. In the Japanese version, it's called ビクトリーキャノン (bikutorii kyanon), so it should've been translated as "Victory Cannon."

They also mistranslated Kaioshin's エネルギースラスト (enerugii surasuto) as "Energy's Last", when it should've been translated as "Energy Thrust." If you look at FAQs for Super Butouden 3 or Ultimate Battle 22, you'll see that people translated that attack as "Energy Thrust."

Guess that blows my theory about the "ki" pun out of the water.

But I know another one that they got wrong, at least in Neo, was 萬國驚天掌. They transliterated it as "Mankoku Kyouten Shou," which isn't wrong for those characters per se, but anyone who's familiar with the furigana in the manga or the pronunciation in the anime (and the game itself) should know it's "Bankoku Bikkuri Shou." The translator probably didn't know or remember that, though, and I don't think they had audio samples to work with either.

Even in Budokai 3 Gotenk's "Big Tree Cannon" was called Victory Cannon.
I never even thought about it until now!

Was that in text? My guess would be that it's "Victory Cannon" and is the attack that Trunks killed Cell with.
Nah, that attack is called "Heat Dome" and Trunks (Fighter) has it.

I have a question: Do any videos show the kaioshin and if so, has he gotten a bit stronger since BT2?

I always wondered. He told the others that every kaioshin could destroy Freeza with one blow.
Alright, he was the weakest and youngest of them, but he would at least have _some_ power.

And in BT2, he just seemed sorta weak.
He was easily pummeled by Roshi for example.

Is he really THAT weak? I always thought he was kinda strong, weaker than Cell but stronger than Freeza at least O_o

Gatchan! Oh I am the happiest Dr.Slump Fanboy ever. Although I like blond hair Gatchan a little more I can deal with it. I really hope Arale doesn’t have an awful dub voice. Same with Gatchan and whoever else they through in there as an attack. (Supaman anyone?)

Edit: Do I see a Dr.Slump stage? *Passes out*

Wow, it looks like Arale has a very interesting facial expression to the rest of the Sparking! METEOR cast. And is that Penguin Village?

A translation by Jipang from the Atari forums:
Arale:
The robot produced by a wonder scientist Senbei Norimaki.
She has power to divide the earth. And two angels Gattchans help her.

General Blue:
The general of Red-Ribbon Force who is expert of ESP and martial arts.
He appeared in Penguin village for searching Dragon ball.
So, they are taking the "Arale breaking the Earth" segments from Dr.Slump literally. That means she's supposed to be as strong as, at least, Freeza Saga characters.

Penguin Village! Man I can imagine fighting on that stage with the more serious GT and late Z characters.

This update has got me more excited to play as Arale than I already was, I still can't believe I have to wait until November for this to come to the UK.

Wow - I already knew we were getting Arale by reading it elsewhere, but man, actually seeing her in action. This is gonna be great! I'm still disappointed (and severly POd over it to) that we didn't get Kid Krillin when they were bulking up the DB storyline, but Arale makes up for it almost.

Damn, having Arale is going to rock so unbelievably much, it's nuts. Penguin village as a stage?

Call me weird, but all I can think about is what kind of hilarious pre-battle dialogue she'll have with other characters. With Goku at his various ages? Dr. Gero or the other Androids? Trunks? Kid Chi-Chi?

Damn, I REALLY want to play this. Good thing it's still on PS2... How much are used PS2s going for...?

*checks Gamestop*

$80? Wow. I'm actually considering getting one, just so I can play this. I already own a PS1, so I can use the same controllers and memory cards and old games and stuff...

I'm in the generation of fans that started with Toonami, so I totally empathize with the feeling of having "missed the party", experiencing disappointment, and wanting to experience it myself. But I can't, that's how life is. Time is a bitch. The party is over. Kageyama, Kikuchi, and Maeda are off the sauce now; Yanami almost OD'd; Yamamoto got arrested; Toriyama's not going to light trash cans on fire and hang from the chandelier anymore. We can't get the band back together, and even if we could, everyone's either old, in poor health, or calmed way the fuck down. Best we're going to get, and are getting, is a party that's almost entirely devoid of the magic that made the original one so awesome that we even want more.
