He either has something to show (we haven't seen him fight seriously yet) or the writer didn't want to write him having a rant about Goku surpassing him again, we know he'll catch up so why waste time on it ?Nero<>Akira wrote:Why is no one even picking up on how cool and collected Vegeta was during that entire fight save for when goku made the spirit bomb and jiren and he clashed with it?
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan wearing you down was said in the anime first in Epsoide 38. The manga just made it far more drastic.

Zamasu is the best DB villain besides Freeza (and this is only the case because the current Super arc elevated Freeza to be that good).

So that poll on the main page of the wiki that I brought up before. The votes sort of blew up after the special and now it's got over 500 votes.
Any chance of the Future Trunks saga being the most liked saga was completely wiped out. The Universe Survival saga has almost three quarters of the vote to itself.
I'm not surprised anymore that it is most people's favourite but I didn't think it would be that wide. As long as it maintains the quality it's got going for it in the last so many episodes then it probably will be the best saga in Super.
It's probably the best Tournament they've had in the whole franchise.

Personally I thought the longer the FT Arc went on the worse it got. The TOP while mixed, i feel the opposite. Its gotten better as we go.Bullza wrote:So that poll on the main page of the wiki that I brought up before. The votes sort of blew up after the special and now it's got over 500 votes.

The fact the FT Arc left a sour taste in many mouths at the end for various reasons is probably why.

I feel like the FT Arc was full of rushed, half-baked ideas.

The future saga for me got worse after episode 56 with power scaling, and worse in general after 61, save 63. This saga dragged on during the recruitment part, and the tournament itself didn't pick up until episode 104.
That poll is affected by having the ToP still being in production and therefore getting attention. If the future saga happened after the ToP, it probably would be getting more votes.

Anyone remember the November timeline we had a while back? Another magazine scan for Super Dragon Ball Heroes showed another timeline going from October to December and the Universe Survival arc was still ongoing. So, it won't end this year for sure.

Whoa whoa whoa...I'm going to stop you right there. I hardly think the best of anything should be heat of the moment fan voting. Cause the unit 7 vs 6 was the best thing in the world when Goku used blue with kaioken, nah the Trunks is back again arc was the best cause of that awesome Goku and Vegeta vs zamasu and black choreograph fight was the best, nah when ultra instinct, etc etc.
Theres more to everything then just cool power ups and fights. Personally my favorite tournament was the one that ended with a face off between Goku and Roshi. Watching Goku grow and strength was great as well as seeing both characters pull off parody martial arts moves from drunken master to that wushu monkey style was great. That tournament was a payoff that whole training Goku went through as well as seeing Goku and Krillins bond grow.
If anything this is the worst saga in all of dragonball (although I'll give it a benefit of a doubt because its not over). Theres no narrative, its fight or die and they fight. Zeno should be the antagonist, there should be some moment besides one eps that contained 2 seconds of pause when billions of people died. What happened to the Goku that had avenge and resurrect Upa's dad, the one who pitied a deceased Vegeta, the one who died to save the planet. Now, jeez that sucks now lets fun fun fight time!
Don't get me wrong, I loved 109-110 but cool factors isn't the only thing I love. Believe it or not the drama in db always played an important role to me which is why young Gohan and Vegeta were my favorite characters, their emotional drama made the series.

But it was a decent arc, the best in Super yet, even with plot holes and the terrible finale.RedHeat wrote:I feel like the FT Arc was full of rushed, half-baked ideas.

Does Ultra Instinct seem a bit OP, even by DB standards? It's basically like spidey-senses on steroids. The user can react and counter anything instantaneously, so anyone without this ability shouldn't logically be able to win. It kind of transcends the notion of power levels because no matter how fast or strong the opponent, timing beats all of that. Not to mention, the user's power is amplified beyond that of a god to boot anyways.
"Dragon Ball once became a thing of the past to me, but after that, I got angry about the live action movie, re-wrote an entire movie script, and now I'm complaining about the quality of the new TV anime. It seems Dragon Ball has grown on me so much that I can't leave it alone." - Akira Toriyama on Dragon Ball Super

I wouldn't say it makes them invincible. Goku was still evolving, but a suppressed Jiren stayed competitive. I think if you're skilled enough and or have this ability you kind possibly tango with someone with good control over it.fadeddreams5 wrote:Does Ultra Instinct seem a bit OP, even by DB standards? We don't know how much Jiren was holding back and the fact remains that Goku was fighting Jiren on fumes. And it should be noted that it isn't made clear if UI is the form or did the form simply give Goku the ability to used UI.Jigurashi wrote:I wouldn't say it makes them invincible. My thoughts exactly, like someone mentioned before: Super end might be near, I don't think it's possible to top that kind of skill. Counting that Goku could master the Ultra Instinct in the future, just makes EoZ more unbelivable than already is. Not that I think Super should care about it eitherfadeddreams5 wrote:Does Ultra Instinct seem a bit OP, even by DB standards? It's basically like spidey-senses on steroids. And that's exactly what's so great about it! What's more, Goku seems to have continuous self-improvement/growth during this state, as noted by Piccolo. I LOVE it!fadeddreams5 wrote:Does Ultra Instinct seem a bit OP, even by DB standards? It's basically like spidey-senses on steroids. Well the Universe Survival saga already had the significant edge vote wise before the two part special. Of course the new saga will have something of an advantage because it's the current saga, I can't really do anything about that.Brettjr25 wrote:I hardly think the best of anything should be heat of the moment fan voting. I'd say it's warranted though. It has pretty good.
The narrative was all at the start with the build up. This is supposed to be a hectic non stop Battle Royal. Unlike other Tournaments there's no break inbetween each fight. It's a race against the clock, it's supposed to be fast paced.Theres no narrative, its fight or die and they fight.
Gohan kinda paused when he beat Obuni because he took out his whole universe but Piccolo had to push him on because there's no time for moping around here when they're surrounded by people trying to take them out.
Goku also had his moment with Master Roshi as well when he thought he died. So it's there in parts. It's also just the middle part of the Tournament and most the significance story wise usually comes at the beginning and end.
Yeah....that's exactly what I based on my comment on....the one poll on a wiki, that's literally what I just said.HeroR wrote:Bold claimed based on one poll on a wiki of all things.
