Two Random Trailers I Started...
The beginning of this week has been free for me, with convocation this evening and work starting up later this week / early next week. I've just been hanging out, playing games... and started two videos, out of nowhere.
TRAILER # 1:
This one spawned in my head days ago, actually, while watching the extras on a certain DVD. I won't say what it is, because the idea / execution might be too obvious. The point is that I'm not actually trying to make my own trailer out of it; I'm trying to match it up scene-for-scene, frame-for-frame to the original trailer as close as I can. Some of the things I've done are really creepy! When I put it out for distro, I'm probably going to put the original trailer down in the bottom corner, or do a split-screen, or something... it's nothing on its own, but I think it's really powerful with the original right along with it.
TRAILER # 2:
Right out front, I'll say it's a DBZ/DBGT trailer. Honestly, though, that doesn't give anything away. I'm in a real exploitative mood, this year, when it comes to DB footage. Like I did with my Otakon video, I'm using footage that no-one even bothers to do anything with. DB (and the following two series) have sooooo much in the way of a range of footage, and the only things people do are character profiles and action videos. I'm certainly doing different things! Bwuaha!
Mostly wanted to write this all down to remind myself what the Hell I'm doing. I'll probably finish them both within a week (the first one's already 90% done). Probably won't be online until after my Otakon video, though. I dunno. Whatever.
Sugarcult, Story of the Year, and Coheed & Cambria are all "Buzzworthy" on MTV. ACK!

Finished trailer #2. Mostly made it for myself, and also as an introductory trailer on the AnimeNext AMV Contest compilation, but I like it. If anyone wants it, they can stop by the IRC channel, and maybe I'll send it over
. Hurray for exploiting DB footage!

I love how people decide to not like music once it becomes mainstream.Sun_Wukong wrote:I feel your pain EX I really do. I'm not gonna turn my back on the bands just because they're popular, now; I just find it absurdly funny that I tend to have this knack for picking which bands are going to eventually becomes popular and/or "on the radio."Sun_Wukong wrote:I feel your pain EX I really do. My next prediction? Hmm.... My Chemical Romance. Maybe it's just because it's what I'm all about right now, maybe it's because the new album's coming out (and is fucking amazing), but I see 'em getting more popular...
*cough*
So... new trailer! No-one's wanted to see it, thus far

Well, I'm kinda curious about this mysterious DB trailer, but I keep forgetting to beg for it in the IRC channel. It's 4 AM now, probably too late... Maybe if you ran an Fserve or something again, I'd remember.VegettoEX wrote:So... new trailer! No-one's wanted to see it, thus far.

Because if everyone else loves them, then it makes their music only 50% as good? Or what?
And isn't this just the anime otaku snob in another form? "Urgh, how can you like Dragon Ball Z? Everyone knows about it. It's only acceptable if your favourite character is Bejita. I love Random Stuff About Giant Robots That Has Religious Parallels In It Because The Main Guy Is Called Jesus. That's a real show."
You own a lot of black t-shirts, don't you?

Ah, the irony of being a goth. "I don't want to conform, so I'm going to dress like everyone else in my group".
Although thinking about it, Dayspring's comment was much more subtle and witty. Let's pretend I said that, instead.
