Wasn't Champa supposed to pay Beerus back for the wish Beerus made at the end of the U6 vs U7 tournament?

Piccolo is a bald (ish) guy, he could be the next out by that logic as well..
I wonder how strong these nameks are, Gohan seems to be charging in base, so not that strong I assume for now..

Me seeing into the future.

I am convinced this is just some 20 second encounter. This is a Hit vs Jiren focused episode unpess you think the Namekians fight will last about 3 minutes wuth no talking or anything apart from an easy win for one pair.

If it does not happen then my fanfiction will be my official Dragon Ball Super.

Throughout the episode's run, the namekians can fight with good amount of dailog if done right..
If hit's out Universe 6 could be the next to go down and namekians need to go for that to happen..

The Namekians outlasted Frost so I think they will last more then are few minutes.

I don't think Freeza's actually sticking around if only because ultimately Super is a midquel and so the iron clad rule of "Z's ending is still Super's ending" prevents Freeza from replacing Vegeta.

The user can react and counter anything instantaneously, so anyone without this ability shouldn't logically be able to win. It kind of transcends the notion of power levels because no matter how fast or strong the opponent, timing beats all of that. Not to mention, the user's power is amplified beyond that of a god to boot anyways.
The only thing that is truly OP in Dragonball is power level.

If there is one thing that Vegeta has over Freeza, it's looks. Freeza may have an iconic and interesting design and the most kick-ass voice and demeanor, but Vegeta is more appealing as far as fan-service goes (not my cup of tea, but I know that a lot of people like him for that) Then again, they've been really into Vegeta/Bulma so they might start focusing only on that.

Honestly this is the same as saying that when we were introduced to Goten he would replace Gohan. It makes
no sense.

Why would they sneakily get rid of one of their most popular characters? lol

Bottom line is some fans aren't interested in Vegeta so they think that means their opinion is somehow universal and Toei will now retire Vegeta for another anti hero.
Just to be clear, since I didn't word it properly in that first post - I meant there is not guarantee Freeza is sticking around.

I have never seen anyone think that Goten would replace Gohan. Like, not once even years ago. The little guy got attached to Trunks' hip way too fast for that.

By sneaky, I mean Vegeta's face would pop up next to Goku's on official posters and in the opening, but the actual screen time and impact of his scenes would be somewhat reduced.

This is just the most hypothetical of speculations, and it's okay for people to speculate. Vegeta's popularity is a heavy anchor and he is not going anywhere any time soon. The only thing that adds some relevance to this theory is that this has always happened before: Tien ->Piccolo -> Vegeta -> ?

People love anti-heroes/ morally ambiguous characters is what I saying, and this was one of the things that made Vegeta so appealing for many. He doesn't have that anymore. I feel like they are sometimes struggling to find a balance with him, not wanting to relent his animosity knowing that he might lose some of his charm. I think that does more harm then good tbh. Ex: not wanting to give his energy? I mean, really????
I know no one said Goten would replace Gohan. I was just pointing out that it would be the equivalent of that.

I hated Vegeta not giving his energy but it was one poorly written scene that people over analyze even though Vegeta did help Goku in other ways in that episode. Just like I know Freeza giving his energy to Goku doesn't mean he is being helpful. He probably has his own ulterior motives. That does make him interesting but not on his way to be a good guy. At least not yet.

Anyways Vegeta not giving his energy to Goku is to me like Goku not knowing what kissing is. A dumb little scene that I can ignore. It doesn't change my opinion on the character. Sometimes the writers write things I disagree with but I still love the characters.

And personally I love Vegeta as a Tsundere and I think it does fit Who his character is now. Sometimes they can take it too far in the way they make Goku too stupid but I still think for the most part Vegeta not letting his true feelings out is amusing. I enjoy that aspect of him. People say GT Vegeta was so different but I was rewatching clips and he is just as much one there too.

And yes I get that people love morally ambiguous characters but people also love Vegeta for his pride, his attitude, his relationship with Bulma (if there is a most popular romantic pairing it's definitely these two) and the way his character developed throughout the series. He is also the father of Future Trunks another fan favorite. And he is a Saiyan like Goku but also opposite of Goku in many ways. He's not popular because of only one thing. That is why his character has endured for so long.

And while Piccolo may not be quite as popular as Vegeta (although he's Toriyama's favorite) I would say he's still fairly popular more so than Tien because of things like his relationship with Gohan. I am not saying Tien isn't loved I know he has his fandom but he doesn't have as strong ties to the main cast as both Vegeta & Piccolo do. Tien has Chiaotzu but Chiaotzu is not Gohan, Bulma or Trunks.

He's probably going after the Kale episode.
Because I think they'll at least give him over half an entire episode of fighting, like they did for Krillin and Roshi, and the next ones seem to focus on the Saiyans (probably one of them will go soon, Cabba I mean).

Freeza becoming a "good guy" would be the one thing that would make me drop Super forever. The whole idea makes me sick to my stomach, it would literally be the final straw that breaks the camels back. I would quit watching Super and pretend the whole series never existed if it happens.

I guess I'll just rewatch the series up to the end of DBZ then.

Now you’re doing this on purpose, especially your used of ‘literally’.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

Of course it's on purpose, nobody hates camels that much.

The most likely send-off I see Freeza having is going back to hell, but as thanks for his help in the tournament, Goku has his hell be a more free environment where he isn't tortured by singing fairy tale creatures while being trapped in a cocoon. Probably a tsundere moment somewhere there, too, with Goku noting how Freeza wasn't all that much of a bad guy or something.

Either that, or Toriyama decides to have Freeza revived again and continue to do what he wanted while being kept an eye on.

Or they will give him the Tien treatment, pray Toshio has written a Piccolo fighting scene.

I want Freeza to remain as a main cast! his interactions with Goku were amazing back in the recruitment arc and hopefully their interaction this coming ep will just spice it up more, I'm tired of tsundere Vegeta arguing with Goku, Freeza's and Goku's interactions are a lot more fun, its basically like this.
Goku X Vegeta
Vegeta: Damn you Kakarott *punches him in the gut*
Goku: OW! what the hell man?

Goku X Freeza
Freeza: Greetings Goku *punches him in the gut* oh.. my bad, hand slipped
Goku: ... cant be helped then... *punches him in the gut* oh dang.. sorry, my hand slipped
Freeza:

Freeza will never be part of the main cast. Most likely after the tournament ends he'll reveal his plans to become a God or immortal or whatever and he'll probably be defeated in another arc.

Freeza always finds a way to return.

I'd argue he's more main cast than Goten or Kid Trunks already
