By that logic they should also allow multiple Piccolos (multiple Kuririns too if we wanna get REALLY obscure and nitpicky).
Those other characters only used that technique in anime-only scenes, and I doubt any of those scenes will be appear in this game.

I mean, the one VS Nappa is already basically confirmed to not be in, considering how following Tenshinhan's death, it's a team battle with Piccolo, Gohan and Kuririn, and after that it's Piccolo's death, according to that one chart.

Piccolo also used his multiplication in the anime for training, but that won't require a team of Piccolos.

See, this is one of the reasons Iliked tag battles. You could take two of anyone for those. And if you want to do a 1 on 2 match you throw out a crappy character for your said first and let them get pounded into oblivion.

Yeah, I hope so. I also hope they have more than two different soldier skins as well.
I agree. They need to let us have 5 Freeza soldiers selected and also have at least 5 different skins for them. There's way more than enough designs they could use for the character. I think both of the ones they are using now are from the Bardock special but the rest of the series had lots of different ones too.

I don't like them using Cui as a "generic soldier". He had his own story and personality. Appule I can understand. He was a generic soldier, we just happened to hear his name.

Yeah, but there should (normally) no problem if it was just possible?
Like mentioned in a post before it was possible in tag battles, but there's a limit of 2 vs 2.

So why not in 5 vs 5?
I don't see a reason not to do it - as long as I will not be forced to take 4 Piccolos for example and have a free decision.

So who else thinks Satan should have a gun instead of throwing rocks?

He could throw rockets like in Ultimate Battle 22, or atleast have one rush where Buu comes in to help him.

I like how Mr. Satan worked in UB22. (well, other than the utter impossibility of using his Champion Dance in real combat). Stuff like that should be applied to Sparking! More explosions=happy Atari board fans, and more useful Mr. Satan = happy me... We all win! Except for you guys. :P . Umm... I jest...
But yeah, applying UB22 Satan style to the Sparking version could turn out awesome. Though note that having him throw rocks actually says more for his strength... with a gun, it doesn't matter how powerful you are... the projectile is always the same strength (I guess you could be thrusting your fist out while firing to increase the bullet's velocity? :? ), but with a rock, the force of the ensuing collision is dependent on how hard the rock is thrown... so if you can throw a rock and do more damage than with a gun, go for the rock!
But if this is not the case... a gun would be the better choice. ... I guess that was a wasted sentence. Though... are there any characters with guns in the game? It'd be interesting to see how they play (And it'd just be awesome to watch Raditz deflect bullets... that smarts...)

(Oooh... random addition: you think Mr. Satan would be influential enough to call out some aircraft or super explosive to make a big explosion? Actulaly that seems more in the style of the red ribbon army.. .. Something's eating my letters again.)

I don't know if you've seen those but here are screenshots that were uploaded by Atari on their press website yesterday : http://www.gamick.fr/2007/10/budokai-tenkaic.html

Geez, Raditz looks tough in that video...talk about wall effect o_O

One question I was wondering about- can you still set the English version of the game to Japanese, and if you do, will the 'subtitles' along the bottom of the screen be available only in English, or is there an option for Japanese there also? I'm sure those learning Japanese like myself would enjoy the challenge as the story mode progresses :)

Not sure why I think anyone would know this since the game isn't out yet, but thought I'd ask just in case. Thanks!

Sweet. Raditz has his “Saturday Crush” back and his rush is pretty much right from the show.

Looks great.
I have to say, that I hoped since Budokai 1 that someone would do some more "non fighting" levels (in B1 there were two scenes in which you had to hold Raditz with Goku or charge the Special Beam Cannon with Piccolo).
Some more of that kind wouldn't have hurt ;)

But if this is near final game then I will love it :D

Does anyone know abot these two things:
1. Is the music in this video in-game?
2. Are these "no heavy clothes" costumes usable as "transformation"? Did they give any information about this?

Yes, it's in game. The Japanese Sparking always used bgm from the show.

No, they're just costumes. If they were transformations, they'd need their own movesets and we'd know about them.

Yes, the game will feature the option to choose between Japanese and FUNi dub VAs. I'm presuming subtitles will be in the story mode cut-scenes regardless the language setting, as the first two Tenkaichi/Sparking! games had such a manner. Intro/Outro dialogue and in-battle speaking during the fights are never subbed, though.

Except that, from what I heard, the Japanese BGM tracks are often short, repetitive, and not suited for use in a fighting game.
