(so naturally being a G1 nerd, I had to prove my superiority)
"Who succeeded Optimus Prime after his death"

"Yeah, I thought so, the correct answer is Rodimus Prime (Aka Hot Rod) you fucking poser"
This was a few months after TF2 was announced.
"OMIGOD, They're gonna make Transformers 2!"
"That ooooold news!"
"Oh yeah, why has it just been announced then?" Chavy voice
"Who cares, All I know is Grimlock is gonna be in it!"
"Who's this Grimm Locke guy?" assuming its an actor... I had to write it funny.
What Generation is this? 5 or something? I'm assuming 3 was Beast Machines and RID and 4 was the Unicron Trilogy.
Damnit Emo kids, you're not geeks, you don't read Comic Books, you read summaries on Wikipedia.

Elitism is a very bad personality trait. I'd rather deal with an eager to learn moron than a mean-spirited, angsty piece of shit.

Yep, Gokuu is now kung fu Clark Kent. Not surprising at all.
Actually, this plot sounds kind of like the Chinese movie, just without the animals, King Horn replaced with Piccolo, and female-henchman-Pasta-analogue replaced with Mai. Plus the part about Gohan being alive at the start, but this time he gets killed instead of kidnapped. In any case, the choice of characters is definitely very early DB-centric, which is rather surprising since I think we all expected DBZ and the Saiya-jin invading.
The only thing that truly pisses me off is the fact that Grandpa Gohan has the San Xing Qiu instead of the Si Xing Qiu.

So, this is some kind of Dragonball adaptation more than a DBZ adaptation, I take it.
Well, can't say that I like it, but I'm not very concerned with this. If they want to make a silly movie, that's their deal. I've still got the show to watch. But, I'm hoping that this is Piccolo Daimao they're using here.

Perhaps you'd like to see one.

Heh heh heh...
This... actually sounds interesting!
Not a good adaptatio... just... an interesting take on it.
I certainly can't see it standing up as a big-budget production though. Maybe a fanseries... o.o.
But... if that's actually a real big budget movie idea... Wah?

Oh. My. God. My eyes - and my brain - hurt. So bad. Please, tell me this website is well known for his hoaxes.
Where the hell does that Mai come from anyway ?

Oh Jesus, that article better be a joke or just plain not true. I wouldn't even attempt to watch the DBZ movie.
If it is true and Akira Toriyama finds out, he'll probably take back the license because he's so horrified at what his masterpiece has been turned into.

Yamcha: Do you remember the spell to release him - do you know all the words?
Bulma: Of course! I'm not gonna pull a Frieza and screw it up!
Master Roshi: Bulma, I think Frieza failed because he wore too many clothes!

I'm sure it'll be fine.

I highly doubt he cares that much, especially now, 10+ years after he finished the series. Even Naoko Takeuchi, who has openly protested some of the changes in Sailor Moon adaptations, never got that worked up about them, and still even assisted said adaptations.jjgp1112 wrote:If it is true and Akira Toriyama finds out, he'll probably take back the license because he's so horrified at what his masterpiece has been turned into.

I'll still go watch it anyways. I'll go total fanboy at the theater. JK

Aren't we tired of the same exact retelling of the series? I'd rather have this than to have them try to retell the anime again and have everyone gripe and moan and bitch about every little insignificant change that was made.
Atleast there's a focus on the DRAGONBALLS. If the did it the way everyone wants, we'd have a movie with characters fighting and maybe a two minute conversation about something called a dragonball.
And I really happy they're starting in the first series. We can build up the heroes relationships now so that everyone can die in the next movie.
