Freeza claiming he will toy with the girls first could be his first mistake, I could see one of the girls surviving and would force Freeza to retreat.

They should have Goten and Trunks visit Planet Sadala, their interactions with U6 saiyan kids would be interesting, and would make them relevant strength wise too.

This. Freeza's fate was sealed the second he committed genocide against the Saiyan race. Him being defeated by Saiyans suits nicely.

Kid Trunks is debatable, he got a fair amount of development in the Black Arc.

I don't see them as having more development.

Ceetainly not more than Trunks, at any rate. Even if the kid is still something of a gimmick at this point (spoiled, bratty, arrogant prodigy), Caulifla and Kale are also somewhat one note. So far, anyway. One's full of confidence and the other has none.

Goten... ehhh. I can't really make much of a credible argument for Goten having development. I do see it here and there, like when Boo killed Chi-Chi and Hit killed Goku. But he's still quite the blank slate. So much can be done with him.

I’m actually hoping we get some side stories with Goten/Trunks/Caulifla/Kale down the road.

I can’t stand Caulifla either. I personally don’t think her and Kale should be in the realm of Goku and Vegeta. I think they’d be better served as rivals/friends of Goten and Trunks down the road. They were all born with exceptionally powerful. Goku and Vegeta could be mentors. Multi universe adventures between young U6 and U7 Saiyans sounds like an excellent time. Throw in Uub, Marron, Pan, Cabba And Bulla and you have Yourself some pretty cool side stories.

Lol I just made a similar statement. I’d rather see Kale and Caulifla be rivals for Goten and Trunks than for Goku and Vegeta. It seems like They’re going towards the mentoring angle anyways, so we can possibly see some interaction down the road. Especially if all the universes are brought back to live in a single universe.

Caulifa and Kale are becoming incredibly popular, I can see them being anime mainstays moreso than the other Universe 6 characters. Caulifa has the exact personality people wanted out of a female Saiyan for years.

I don't think so, as a matter of fact this is a common Dragon Ball trope (characters wait their enemies to transform, use their techniques, fuse and etc.)

It would be fun, but anyway I think this whole 48 minutes time limit is way too short for a Battle Royale between 80 warriors, we see characters standing, talking, seeming like they have way more time than we know.

I think Whis miscalculated those minutes as Earth's, they're Namek's.

Champa knowing a certain type of fusion technique is genius.

Now, I'm so want to see a fusion between him and Beerus! That would make a fun episode after this arc.

This. I don't see Freeza being eliminated by anyone BUT a Saiyan; the one species he hates the most. I can't wait.

They will only appear when Universe 6 is in the story. When that happens the majority of Universe 6 will appear as well.

Goddamn. I don't know about other people or how many, but I certainly never wanted a selfish, arrogant, self-important caricature in a new saiyan character. Kale may be too demure, but at least it's a different spin on the saiyan archetype than the "me me me, let's fight I GOTZ POTENTIAAAAAALS" we get in Caulifla.

For all I know, I'm in a minority, but at the same time I'd be pretty shocked if a sizeable portion of fans wanted this trainwreck of bad writing representing female saiyans.

Do we have data to tell us for certain one way or the other? I don't know if I could call them popular or unpopular. They're too new to know.

Caulifa and Kale have easily become the most popular U6 characters after Hit. The others don't really have huge fanbases. I mean I like Magetta, but nobody is going to say he's this popular character when he's just a robot.

I think there's a difference between liking a character versus liking how that character is handled. The difference in Dragonball is when we talk about characters we like being poorly handled, it's usually about them being made weak and useless (notice how the Buu saga seemed to forget Piccolo was stronger than a Super Saiyan?), not the opposite. For the example here, I think Caulifla might be one of my favourite new characters, because she's energetic, straight-forward and delightfully dumb.

I've been...tolerant of the way they've handled her powerups thus far. I can see why it annoys people, but at the same time it's justifiable enough, and the forms she unlocked are kind of obsolete at this point anyway. I'm okay with fusion because it's something that has to be taught and I want to watch Youtube videos of Kafla beating up Freeza set to 'Stronger than You', but I don't want it to be something they already knew going in. I also don't want her to unlock 3 on her own the way Cabba unlocked 2. Unlocking forms mid-tournament should be a huge moment.

I maintain a fight between Freeza and the girls would be good, but I think it's a little too early for that. Ideally both him and them should make it to the final stages of the tournament. They should be fused as well, since Freeza hasn't been challenged at all in the tournament and it would be good to see him put that training in hell to actual use. He hasn't had a proper fight yet and the tournament is running out of powerhouses that could give him one; Hit's gone, Vegeta's fighting Toppo, and Jiren's out of everyone's league except Goku now. Given how strong Kale is, their fusion should be quite powerful, possibly able to not just challenge Freeza, but beat him as well.

The adult Saiyans surpassed Piccolo as Super Saiyans back in the Cell Saga.
