The Tournament lasting until March could not be a bad thing if they give us more development on the other characters.

I'm really not surprised at all that the Tournament Of Power is going to last at least until March of next year. With an arc of this scale, it was inevitable that Toei was going to make most of the new characters introduced. Whether they characters Toriyama had major plans for (Toppo, Jiren, Kale, Caulfia, Ribrianne). Or characters Toriyama wanted to reintroduce on a grand scale (Freeza and Android 17).

I'm a bit surprised that the BOG and ROF retellings were Toriyama's idea. But I'm not surprised by the mentality behind it. If only they were handled better.

It really doesn't matter since Minus is still part of Jaco, especially since the bonus chapter have Jaco being assigned to take care of Goku. Even then, we saw toddler Goku at the end of Jaco even without Minus.

Yes it does since Jaco and Tight are in Super with the assumption that you read Jaco. The events of Jaco doesn't match Toei's created story. Toriyama also never drew a Yadrat outside of Online that no one can confirmed if he actually created.

They could adjust Jaco's story line to match their version, given how popular the Bardock OVA is. Without an actual anime adaptation of those chapters, there's still room for Toei to maneuver around it . DB Minus is more in line with the tone of DBS though, so who knows.

As they should for the sake of cohesion, but they are apparently given enough freedom here and there. Again, by simply not mentioning stuff like Gine's name allows for both version of Goku's past to exist.
This might all come down to how well DB minus has been received by the Japanese fandom, because it seems to be universally disliked among western fans. If they liked it, elements from DB minus may as well make an appearance.

I'm not too, people are thinking that the tournament might be dragged due this, but who said with the ToP final it means the arc will be over? We could have another conflict after, remember the arc is called: Universe Survival.

It doesn't matter how well Minus was received since it's something created by the original author in a manga that he personally drew. Like the Star Wars prequel are roundly crapped on, but no one tries to deny their existence.

Can't use that argument. It's obvious that when Jaco went to Earth, Planet Vegeta was still existing, but Freeza would destroy it in one month. We don't know how long was Goku's and Jaco's trip to Earth, but it's entirely possible that when one or the other one arrived, the planet had already been destroyed.

About ToP lasting until March, I think they meant the arc as a whole which also has filler. In this case, we are definitely getting some fillers about Goten, Trunks, Marron and Yamcha defending 17's island. This will last until episode 133, which explains why they decided to add it as the 13th episode of the Blu Ray disc - it would make no sense to start the following blu-ray release with a filler.
At the end of this year they will most likely just announce that Toriyama has written the arc after the ToP without giving further details, as it happened last year.

My thoughts exactly, except I don't know why people think Yamcha is also going to defend 17's island. He doesn't even know where the island is.

Yes and no. Japan doesn't have daylight savings, so for them, no, the air time won't change in any way. But for the countries that do use DST and have just switched, yes, the air time will change. It's all relative.
