Dragon Ball Tournament Saga DVD on Amazon

Post by doppleganger » Sun Oct 07, 2007 10:05 pm

This is the only one available on the internet as far as I'm aware, and it's in perfect condition. If you want to snatch it up you better hurry before someone else does!!

How did you manage that? I can imagine getting it for that price if they happened to have it at a local store.. they probably don't know how extremely rare it is.

Someone on ebay was selling it in a lot of DVDs and I asked them if I could buy just that one for 15 and they said yes.

Yeah, I pointed this out in another topic about how if you want the final DVD for the end of the series, you're gonna have to shell out $200+ for it with that seller.

what a jackass, who the hell wants that set for $300! Christ thats 10 times market value, that sbsolutely outrageous, yes its out of print but it sure as hell aint worth THAT much more for being out of print. Gods I'm glad the only DB set I dont hvae is the first 13 eps (which never got uncut released here in the US).

The thing is, it can't be all THAT rare, there's at least one or two sellers a week with an auction for it on ebay. (Those go for about a 100 though... )

Again, I am very happy I bought these as they came out/on ebay a few years back. I have every DB set and I'm pretty sure I didn't spend $200 on them total.

The DVDs aren't rare. It's simply some idiots on Amazon and eBay that are overpricing the sets just because they're not in print anymore.

You can still get some DB DVDs from Deep Discount DVD.

Exactly! The only reason sellers are getting away with this kind of robbery is because the buyers are dumb enough to let them.

I don't even think people are that stupid to actually pay $200 - $300 for a two disc DVD set. It seems they're simply the type of sellers who put up the DVDs for sale for that price, don't get them to sell, then stubbornly put them back up for the same asking price in hopes of someone paying that much.

Well on ebay I see them go for over 100...so apparently some people are that stupid.

Yeah, they tend to go for tons of money on eBay. It's dumb that FUNi stopped printing these. I smell season sets on the horizon. Perhaps this time around they'll wise-up and forget about the "remastering".

I don't want Dragonball in widescreen,so that's why i'm hunting down the sets.

Hence the enormous demand upon them being them out of print.

Actually, I think it's because the DVD sets weren't as widely spread out as the DBZ and even GT DVDs. I can't say I've *ever* seen Dragon Ball DVDs new in store when they were in print. o_O
