18 is probably jobbing to Brianne, that would mean Piccolo is jobbing to the Cicadas.

If 18 went they would probably target 17 as he would be by himself.perucho1990 wrote:18 is probably jobbing to Brianne, that would mean Piccolo is jobbing to the Cicadas.

I thought Rabrianna would've been out a long time ago yet she's still here so don't be surprised if they somehow stay in, reach Blue and help Goku take Jerin down.namekiansaiyan wrote:Caulifla na Kale have to br out as that is 6 episodes dedicated to them.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Hey, there's that word again. What's wrong with using the word "lose" nowadays? I used to think jobbing meant when someone is boasting and ends up losing badly anyway, not actually getting defeated.perucho1990 wrote:18 is probably jobbing to Brianne, that would mean Piccolo is jobbing to the Cicadas.
If Piccolo does end up getting eliminated by the cicadas, it's him losing to what has been essentially treated as the biggest mystery in the tournament.

Thing is that 17 has gotten way too much hype I dont see him being gone this early.
18 already has the excuse of having that ankle injury and she being eliminated by Brianne wont make her weak.

Its cute you think that matters to the writers.namekiansaiyan wrote:He is not beating Toppo that quick.sintzu wrote:Even their writing can't be that bad, having someone like Toppo lose off screen or in half an episode. Caulifla na Kale have to br out as that is 6 episodes dedicated to them.
Hopefully Universe 2 are next.

Yeah, but that's what the term implies. A crushing defeat after having acted too confident. I don't see them giving 18 anything other than a good fight, even if she does end up getting eliminated in the end.

I was thinking Brianne might get a powerup after Rosie gets eliminated, and she eliminates 18, then episode 117 ends with 17 ready to fight Final Form BrianneMichsi wrote:

I still don't think 18 will go in episode 119 though but because she is fighting Ribrianne instead of Rozie might mean they might knock 18 out to make 17 angry.Michsi wrote:perucho1990 wrote:Thing is that 17 has gotten way too much hype I dont see him being gone this early.

If that happens to 18 then she would have been treated badly as making someone lose to make some else look good or to be motivated is automatically bad to me.

You are watching shonen, you know that is basically ingrained in its writing, right?namekiansaiyan wrote:I still don't think 18 will go in episode 119 though but because she is fighting Ribrianne instead of Rozie might mean they might knock 18 out to make 17 angry.Michsi wrote:perucho1990 wrote:Thing is that 17 has gotten way too much hype I dont see him being gone this early.

There are ways to do it so that it does not look so bad.Totamo wrote:You are watching shonen, you know that is basically ingrained in its writing, right?namekiansaiyan wrote:I still don't think 18 will go in episode 119 though but because she is fighting Ribrianne instead of Rozie might mean they might knock 18 out to make 17 angry.Michsi wrote:

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I think Ribrianne might be 18's big fight of the tournament, so I doubt they'd use her only as means to give 17 a boost in determination. I've also thought Ribrianne might get another transformation but it seems less likely.perucho1990 wrote:I was thinking Brianne might get a powerup after Rosie gets eliminated, and she eliminates 18, then episode 117 ends with 17 ready to fight Final Form BrianneMichsi wrote:

We probably don't want 18 to go out with this fight , so she could be the U7 fighter that gets eliminated in 119 .namekiansaiyan wrote: I still don't think 18 will go in episode 119 though but because she is fighting Ribrianne instead of Rozie might mean they might knock 18 out to make 17 angry.

Considering it's only Ribrianne and Rozie fighting the Androids, and Kefla is most likely out. I'm going to guess it is U6 erased in 118 unless the other three U2 fighters get involved somehow.

I actually worded my first sentence and meant to say that I think 18 will go in episode 119.Michsi wrote:I think Ribrianne might be 18's big fight of the tournament, so I doubt they'd use her only as means to give 17 a boost in determination. If 18 loses in episode 117 then episode 118 will probably br Ribrianne vs 17 so unless the Namekians fall out off screen( if that happened then I would not watch another episode until they get a proper fight ) then episode 119 won't be Piccolo and Gohan against the bugs.
As I said before, I think this is the Android section of the tournament. In other words I think they are the next to fall.
The title of episode 117 does say Universe 2. They could just help like Vikal did.Big Chief wrote:Considering it's only Ribrianne and Rozie fighting the Androids, and Kefla is most likely out. I'm going to guess it is U6 erased in 118 unless the other three U2 fighters get involved somehow.

They could, but I doubt they will. I think they would mention them in the description if they helped out.
And in case you try to tell me they didn't mention Vikal in the description, that's because she had basically one minute of screen time.
And I doubt these three are going to get a minute of screen time, considering how much eliminations have slowed recently.

Oh the old, 'you hate this character, so you're bias'. According to this forum I hate Gohan, Piccolo, Tien, and Yamacha. Why don't I just say I hate every character in the franchise since apparently criticizing a character means I have an irrational hatred of them.Kinokima wrote:
It’s pretty clear you are completely biased in your hatred for Vegeta. This is not character analysis but character bashing. Seriously your compelling argument that Vegeta is a second class loser.
And no I don’t think any of the characters you listed have better development in this arc than Vegeta. And you haven’t proven anything except you are selective in what you consider good development. All your examples happened BEFORE the tournament actually started. Yeah they were great moments for Gohan & Krillin. But please show me all their character development in the actual tournament. Gohan still has a chance of course but Krillin is already out.
If we are going by the recruitment episode Vegeta even refused to enter the tournament until his daughter was born. Yeah so he’s only obsessed with Goku.... So no Gohan & Krillin did not get more character development than Vegeta overall.
The arc is too focused on fighting not character development. But apparntly one line here & there is sufficient for other characters. But when Vegeta shows there is more underneath what he says it’s not real character development. Again Vegeta has been portrayed best when the episode actually focuses on him like 107 & 112. When there is just a cut of Vegeta fighting then he isn’t going to get the most development. But this is true for every character.
Seriously you don’t like his character. You think other characters are more compelling & better developed good for you but your blind hatred & character bashing is ridiculous.
See the difference between me and you I expect every U7 character to have a moment to shine before they are gone: The Androids, Gohan, Vegeta, Piccolo & of course Goku. This may not happen but I don’t want any character to embarrass themselves and I hope the story does them all justice. I certainly don’t think the purpose of any character is to embarras themselves. But then again I don’t see any character in a negative light like that.
I didn’t mention Freeza because he is up to no good. But know he still has an important part to play.
I said as long as Vegeta stays tied to Goku as he is now instead of going along a different path than 'Goku's eternal rival', then he will be a second place loser. If that is 'character bashing', fine by me.
I am talking about the Universal Survival Saga as a whole, not just the tournament. This arc started in 77, not 97. Why would I only limit myself to just the tournament in this discussion?
Yeah, that was development on Vegeta's part before the tournament, which I did enjoy since it continued his growth from the Future Trunks Saga, which for some reason you chose to ignore my praise for. Then he went right back normal as soon as he went into HBT. So it was like one step forward, two steps back.
We had character development before the tournament, why are you only focusing on the tournament. Even in the tournament people like Roshi, Kale, Cali, Cabba, Hit, and even Freeza had character development moments. Yes, there were small or just continued what we saw before the tournament, but it's still there. While 107 was nice, you still haven't answered why Vegeta didn't feel Roshi's distress despite him standing on a ledge doing nothing. He didn't try to help Roshi until Frost shot him. So while he did do Roshi a solid, it still begs the question of why didn't he sense what was going on before. 112 isn't really development since it was the same thing Vegeta showed in 37. Most of the development was on Cabba.
Again, I must hate a character because I criticized him. Okay, fine, whatever, I hate him. I despise the ground he walks on. I must truly despise him because I think Vegeta's overall development was stall by his obsession with Goku and think he was at his best in the Future Trunks Saga and the beginning of Universal Survival Saga and I wished he would moved away from the 'eternal rival' angle since it makes Vegeta a second place loser.

They probably will get something at least, or else they would have been eliminated in 115.namekiansaiyan wrote:Big Chief wrote:namekiansaiyan wrote:

If Kefla is gone next episode, there isn't really much reason to keep U6 around any longer. Toei seems to be building up to their erasure with all of the U6 focused episodes.
From the description, this episode seems more like a more light hearted episode, before the seriousness that would be in an episode where U6 is erased would be.
