Dragonball Museums Collcetion figur series
hey,
about one year ago i bought a Polunga figur at a convention, because of the good quality i decided to collect the hole series(it contains 13 figurs), but soon I realised that its almost
imposible to get them, a few months ago I finaly found 2 of them at ebay(shipping from china), I ordert them and took a closer look, the packaging is 99%identical to the packaging of the Polunga(there is a toei sticker on the polunga one), but the quality of the figurs is not so great as the quality of my other one, today I got 2 other figurs from a store in france, and the quality is as good as the quality from the first figure I got.
so I decided to search for the other packages and compare them again they all have the unfive logo, the © from baadosutajio*/toai animation(bouth written in katana and kanji, the same phone number on the lower site and www.banpresto.co.jp and all 5 figurs have “banpresto u5 2004 made in china” on it, the only noticeable differents is that my 2 chinese figurs don’t have that sticker…
Are my chinese ebay figurs boodlegs? So what kind of boodlegs are that? Maybe someone of you can help me^^
*that’s what I get if I read the katakana
hope my english is not to worse..i tryed to use winword to correct my grammer

It is possible that the figures that you ordered from Ebay are the bootlegs, and that your Polunga one is a genuine (real) figure.
You said that the ones on Ebay were not as good in quality, right? That's really suspicious. You should research more about the figures.
And I'm not actually sure if Toei would be the licensed company for the figures. Perhaps you can find someone that the same figures that you do, and you can talk to them about if that sticker is on their figure.

but usualy the bootlegs dont look 100% like the original right?, i mean every aspekt on the packaging and the figur itself is the identical...
hmmm is it posible that this figurs are original figurs what didnt pass the final quality check from toei or unifive, and found there way and get selled on ebay now (not only on ebay, my seller sells them in his store in hong kong too)
i found 3 entrys on amazon.co.jp about the same figurs, but they are listet for about 1500 JPY what is not realy mutch, i paid for my "origial" figurs abour 20-50€, but only 5-8€ for my bootlegs (all prices without shipping)
does anyone else own figurs of the museums collection?

That's correct, they don't look 100% like the original. And they're usually not as good in quality. You can have figures in packaging that look like they're supposed to look, but they sometimes aren't the real figures. The figures could look like the real thing to general collectors, but serious collectors would notice the low quality of the figure itself. So it's possible that's why the packaging is identicle, and the figure is not. So even though the figure is what's important to the collector, to serious collectors, the packaging is just as important as the figure itself.Dan no saisei wrote:but usualy the bootlegs dont look 100% like the original right?, i mean every aspekt on the packaging and the figur itself is the identical...
I don't think that's a possibility, but I could be wrong. I don't think they would sell them if their quality wasn't as good as it could be.hmmm is it posible that this figurs are original figurs what didnt pass the final quality check from toei or unifive, and found there way and get selled on ebay now (not only on ebay, my seller sells them in his store in hong kong too)
