Because until Super, the main idea Toriyama was trying to push was Goku passing the torch to the next generation. Goku makes Gohan a SS2 and chooses to stay dead so Gohan is Earth's new protector. He chooses not to kill Majin Buu as a SS3 because he wants to teach Goten and Trunks fusion. He leaves to train Uub not because he wants a sparring partner, but because he's aware of his mortality and doesn't want Earth to put all its eggs in one basket. Z Goku is a much more thoughtful character than Super Goku, oddly enough.

Yes he did. Goku even admitted that the real reason he wanted to train Uub was so he could fight him. Him being another protector of Earth was just a bonus and something he said to make his family feel better about him leaving.

There's definitely some passing of the torch going on there, but that's mostly for the sake of giving the ending a sentimental note. When it comes to Goku himself, it's pretty blunt about his intention. You have Piccolo and Vegeta, two characters who arguably know him best, at least when it comes to this, state plainly that this wasn't a selfless act for the sake of Earth.

Didn't say that there weren't some passing of the torch, but that wasn't Goku's primary reason for training Uub as Goku admitted. He mostly just wanted his rematch with Kid Buu.

But yeah, Piccolo and Vegeta saw through his BS, with Piccolo saying this was happiest he had seen Goku in a long time.

Because he wasn't using ultra instinct when fighting Uub.

I dont think thats how UI (mastering) works. You cant choose it, you hust have it. Otherwise Goku can again be hit with a beam or bullet. Atleast thats how I think about UI.

Their fight stopped in the last episode just like Vegeta vs Toppo stopped.

If it is Universe 6 then it makes no sense to me as all of universe 2 are in action so why ignore them unless universe 2 is out in epusode 117.

As much as I hate to think this, I think the interruption is very likely only temporary. The namekians specifically said they'd take care of U7 and there's no one else they could target. Unless they're going after Goku again, but that could just mean Piccolo and Gohan would come to his rescue again.

What happened to Universe 2 in episode 117 then? How can they ignore a brand new transformation for Ribrianne unless Universe 2 are finished in episode 117.

I just watched the scene, and they jumped out of the way of boulders which nearly collapsed on them from Kafla and Goku's powering up.
