Re: Opinions on the original U6 crew
Hit is the only one not only among them but the entire 10 members who I feel truly adds something to DB, everyone else is replaceable.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.
Re: Opinions on the original U6 crew
Love Hit and like Kale. That's about it. Magetta, Frost, Cabba, and Caulifla are all meh to me. Botamo I have absolutely no care for.
Re: Opinions on the original U6 crew
Botamo = Indifference. Fight with Goku was awful, but his fight with Gohan was a bit better. He has no real personality so the only thing to go on in his design.
Magetta = again he has no real personality, but I like his design and it's nice we have a robot. I like the way he uses heat to his advantage
Frost = was better if he was a good guy, feels even more redundant now that Freeza is back. Meh.
Cabba = ok. Not much to say about him, the development Vegeta gets from him is better than Cabba himself. He is a bit more amusing around Caulifa/Kale.
Hit = Pretty cool. Works well as the strong, silent new rival and has a nice personality and is a hitman.

Re: Opinions on the original U6 crew
Hit was the only interesting character from U6 in the U6 tournament arc. Botamo is barely a character, I don't remember if he even said more than 10 words. Magetta is somewhat better but not by much, a decent gag character I suppose. The "twist" with Frost wasn't much of a twist at all and could be seen from a mile away. He is much more interesting of a character in the ToP. Cabba has a boring personality, and despite what a lot of others have said, I don't think his transformation was that well done at all, and the problems people have with Caulifla and Kale can all be traced back to Cabba.
Re: Opinions on the original U6 crew
Botamo - Yeah, whatever. Only good thing about him was his contribution to 'the invincible Bota Magetta'.
Frost - I remember how interesting it was when it seemed like a good guy, and then how disappointing and lame it was to have them go back on it and make him another villainous Freeza race member. Bringing back Freeza in the ToP arc was actually a blessing in disguise for Frost, since it forced them to make him a distinct character from his more iconic counterpart. They did a pretty good job of it all up and his focus episode, 107, was arguably one of the best in the whole series.
Magetta - No foolin', I really like Magetta. I like how he seems like a complete joke, but proves himself to be a very dangerous and competent fighter. We only ever really see him fight Vegeta, and on all three occasions Vegeta had to either resort to insults or run away (from 'the invincible Bota Magetta'). His out of battle personality is kind of cute as well.
Cabba - He's fine. It's understandable that he got overshadowed by Caulifla and Kale in the end, since by comparison he's really more of a satellite to Vegeta. But he has some cool moments, good dynamic with the other Saiyans and represents a lot of promise for the reformed Saiyan race when we finally get to meet them. Plus, I think Clifford Chapin does a great job as him in the dub. I wonder if he was going through twat overload from playing Bakugo in 'My Hero Academia' and thought no, this time I get to play the goody-two-shoes hero boy constantly licking Chris Sabat's boots.
Hit - What else is there to say? Probably the first real breakout character of Super and it's hard not to see why. He's tough, he's cool, he's involved in some great fights and displays a fair amount of depth and character growth despite his stoicism. Jiren could learn a lot from this man.

Let's all be real here. Despite the flak these two get, Caulifla and Kale were highlights and brought excitement to U6. They also gave the internet fuel to hate and gossip.
U6 never been so popular.

Hit is pretty good, he is a great addition, I will say so is Cabba..
Forst used to be my top character in Universe 6 but he.... tragically, met his end.. which I would rather not talk about
The other two Universe 6 characters are just eeh..

Re: Opinions on the original U6 crew
With the most focus and fleshed out character out of any of the universe 6 cast in general, Hit, the mini Duke Togo, is easily the most entertaining and consistently interesting member of the universe 6 cast in general.
I would say Cabba and Frost don't follow that far behind, with Cabba having a slight edge over Frost, who was only really great for a single episode.
The rest are pretty throw away characters, I will say though that Magetta is at least endearing and cute, in contrast to the boring Botamo.

Re: Opinions on the original U6 crew
Regarding Botamo, he's the kind of character whose power would make him completely OP in almost any circumstance, yet he's too incompetent to use it effectively.

Hit, and to a lesser extent, Cabba and Magetta are the ones I care about. Frost showed potential twice, but came short from reaching it both times. Botamo is a borderline living prop.

Re: Opinions on the original U6 crew
Hit - Without a doubt the best thing to come out Universe 6. Great design, well fleshed out character, incredibly unique skill-set and abilities, has been majorly involved in some Super more memorable fights, and has a really good seiyuu to boot. One of modern Dragon Ball's finest additions.
Botamo - Barely even a character. One of the most uninteresting new characters introduced into Super. The best we got out of him was his fight with Goku in the manga.
Magetta - A shockingly wonderfully charming and unique gag character. His fight with Vegeta was surprisingly delightful and his voice is endearing. Truly one of Super's hidden gems.
Frost - What people remember his most for was the "good" Freeza that never really was because Toriyama wanted to swerve us hard. I feel like they could have done more with his character, but I feel as though leading up to the Tournament Of Power, and in the tournament itself, he became a much more compelling and intriguing character. Credit to the anime for making something out of nothing with Frost's character being evil and making the "twist" carry weight in future stories.
Cabba - A pretty dull character initially but he came into his own in Episode 112 with his wonderfully dogged and resolute performance, as well as his good chemistry with Vegeta. Still a bit too bland for my liking but I've grown attached to him.

Re: Opinions on the original U6 crew
You have the same opinion that I have except for Cabba. I love his good guy personality and his relationship with Vegeta is very compelling. He and Hit have the most to grow and more stories that Super can write that could better develop them even more. It can make them even stronger than some of our main cast.Lord Beerus wrote:Hit - Without a doubt the best thing to come out Universe 6. Botamo:My least favorite member, his battles are horrendous. The only good thing going for him is his interaction with Magetta.
Mostly active on discord.
