18 has barely done anything this whole tournament. She's handled marginally better than Tien and Piccolo so far, but that's it.

I'm not sure what exactly constitutes as substantive involvement for you but she's played a significant role in several episodes past and is poised to have a fight with Kamikaze Fireballs very shortly in conjunction with her brother. She hasn't received the kind of episode long choreographical expose as others like Hit and the Saiyan girls have received, but that looks to be changing in the near future. If anything, I would liken her participation to Roshi. I think after this it's enough for her. For many she's already defied expectations considerably by having such a proactive role in the elimination process.

Because, its significantly easier to write? Why do we still have these questions after 20 years of interviews where the man literally replied to almost every question asked about why he did stuff, it was always I'm lazy.


Its why they barely use tactics or teamwork its way easier to write it this way.

He has a completely different work situation right now as he has a lot more time to come up with things.

That has nothing to do with it. Toriyama chose that route in the past not because he was strained for time but because it takes him less effort.

It shouldn`t be the same, he`s note the sole writer of the show but since the rest will pander to the same patterns, this is what we get.

Toshio said he wrote great stuff for him and Vegeta in the same month. these stuff haven't happened yet. i doubt Ribrianne will be 17's big fight and him taking only 3 characters out isn't worth the hype he got for this arc. remember 17 and Frieza are the main focus on Toyotaro's poster. I'm saying Piccolo will go after 18 because basically a part from 18 he's the one with the least hype and promo in this arc. unless they decide to go for someone else.

You need to lower your expectations. This is 17 you are talking about. If he takes out the top 3 from Universe 2 then the majority of people will say he was treated good based on who he is.

Most of the characters were "returning" characters though. they all haven't fought in years. i've been following anime for years to know that poster placements matters. and yes i agree i do need to lower my expectation and the lowest expectation i have is 17 making it in top 5 which makes sense.

What are the odds that Ribrianne's new transformation will be another joke form? In keeping of the theme we've had up to now, her first transformation is obviously the gag upon which her entire character is based, while the second was just that with wings (which was actually shown to be pretty cool). The fact that she's returning to her base form in the preview could be some sort of fake-out. "Oh, you thought you were getting the pretty form at last? Oh, well here's something EVEN UGLIER".

For the record, I don't want that, I want her new form to be really cool and powerful this episode. Even if it is...well, ugly is the wrong word, but keeping with the theme of her other transformations, I'd be ok as long as it was effective. The other Universes need some strong contenders, Ribrianne needs her previous screentime justified and I need SOME DELICIOUS HATER SALT FOR THESE FRIES. But there's a not unreasonable chance of it happening.

Both 18 and Piccolo desperately need more spotlight and wins before going down. I do think 17 will last a lot longer, but it's a travesty the way these characters are being treated.

Having Goku and Vegeta hog all the wins and fights is absurd.

Jimeze is already out, so the yardrat stuff is most likely never gonna be talked about. As for Zarbuto, I'm not sure the Universe 7 team would even be able to recognise a tuffle. Vegeta and Frieza would be the only ones who could, and I don't think even they'd know that that's what they're looking at.

Because Mastered Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan is at best on par with Blue Kaioken as seen in the manga and that’s greatly inferior to UI.

And again, why shouldn’t Vegeta get UI? He worked just like Goku for it.

I really don't care much anymore about the minority opinion of some only, mainly on YT that overbosuse over just her Weight or that Ribrianne does not look like a supermodel of something. If her look is not your thing that is ok, but it gets stuck-on-stupid when some online get all hot headed over it like it is the worst thing ever. One really need to concern themselves with such cause of how silly it all is in the end.

What matters more is the Effectiveness of Brianne's new for, its meaning to her & her universe and how far will it take her and how much will it shake-up the ToP?! We really don't know what levels of seriousness it will do this, we can only guess. If Toei sticks to their previews on who will be the ones to watch-out for, Brianne will be a top dog. But it is up to toei.

Whatever Happens, Happens, Toei is writting this, all we do is observe and make-up our minds on its effectiveness to the story.

I have good hopes, but cautious optimisms, you need that with everything in what you enjoy, movies you see, video games you play, comics you read.
