Killing won't really bring anything to the tournament now.
Unfortunately, you're not wrong. I mean what I thought it would be interesting about this rule is characters struggling to hold back to not kill their opponents and allowing to kill would serve to see all them using using all their abilities without holding back, but there always the "Plot Armor", so no point in picturing that anyway. (UI Goku's Super Kamehameha on Kefla is an example of that).

If Piccolo is getting hit by that blast by Pirina then Piccolo is getting nothing unless he somehow heals himself and gets stronger.
Ah, I see. Well, we'll have to wait for the episode. Both worst case and best case scenarios, and everything in between, can happen.
namekiansaiyan wrote:Do you think that Pirina could actually be in his giant form at the end of the preview when he takes Piccolo's attack?
I hadn't thought about Pirina being a giant during that scene, but I don't think so. The scene where it looks like he's healing seems to show him at his normal size. But the giant form making an appearance would be cool, maybe have Piccolo fight him as a giant too. Go full Attack on titan .

Why Dragon Ball Consistency in something such as power levels matter!

I just though of Giant Form because that is excatly how Giant Ribrianne looked in the preview and it looks like Pirina is looking down.

I really do hope that that scene with the aura is them healing. If it is then that is probaby how Piccolo recovers from the blast as he does it himself somehow.

Piccolo has barely been treated better than Tien in the TOP. It's almost mind blowing.

He better take out at least one of the Nameks.

He has to otherwise it was useless that Piccolo was forced to job in episode 106 in order to make Tien look good.

Btw episode 118 is written by Yamaguchi, the same writer of episode 106.

At this point I really do think I'm the only one that thought 106 was good for Piccolo.
If it's the same writer maybe this will mean that no more shielding Gohan will happen. I mean, you have to be aware how silly it would look now. Or this writer really likes this scenario and the first self-sacrifice scene was only the appetizer :(

Episode 106 would have been better if he didn't take that hit.

The second scenario is more likely and it probably means it won't mean anything going forward and is being used to create fake tension.

Tomorrow we get spoilers for 119 and that means Shantsa finally :D ... or maybe the bugs.

I'm so hyped, as long as they survive past 119, because U4 deserves some spotlight.

Surely it is 18 getting knocked out in episode 119 and against the bugs. Shantsa will probably end up getting kocked off easily.

Well, when he gets hit by the beam cannon, he does start growing.
When Super apparently shoves Goku down our throats:

Crackpot theory time? In the preview we see Pirina get hit by a blast in the stomach and he doubles over in pain, then the very next shot looks like a continuation with him shaking in pain, but then suddenly spits out an energy beam. What if they can absorb ki and that convert into their own. That's how they can keep regenerating without losing energy. I'm having fun until the episode comes out...

Depends on what they do with him in the remainder of the climax. He's been fighting the Namekians since the special and they're finally bringing that around to the main focus. The small scenes we saw up until now were short but good. Ie, Gohan protecting Piccolo for once.

The question remains what they'll do with him after this since they're placing the final fighters of another universe on him once again. That sort of drama and character focus could be good if they pull it off well.

There is a big difference when Piccolo and Gohan save each other and that is Piccolo suffers a lot of pain.

Gohan got to finish off Universe 10 so Piccolo can finish off Universe 6 especially as the last 2 are Namekians.

I imagine each will eliminate one or they'll take both out together. We'll just have to wait for the episode.

They should get one each and I hope we don't get some stupid combined Ki attack to finish them.

Here's a question. No one called for the U6 Saiyan girls to be portioned out to both Goku and Vegeta. Why is Piccolo having to share his first and only combat encounter with members of his species? Pragmatism and strength aside, it kind of bothers me that this once in a long time opportunity for Piccolo is being divided with someone else like this. Roshi of all people was offered four separate one-on-one encounters with competitors in several episodes. Four! #18 is somehow still holding onto viability despite already have several important fights in multiple episodes, one of them being with the most prominent fighter of Universe 2. The most Piccolo has received on his own is a two-note scuffle with virtually no choreography or screentime against Rubalt and a brief standoff with Jirasen that resulted in the guy being comically propelled out of the ring by Ribrianne as collateral.

Gohan holds a high probability for continuing on into later episodes and partaking in more fights. Most fans consider Saonel and Pirina to be Piccolo's biggest moment of the tournament before he's tossed out to cheer with the spectator crew.

We are all wondering the same thing with Piccolo and his screen time. We still don't know what else he is getting though.

I will always feel that Saonel and Pirina should have been his only. I hope that he gets most of the action.

I definitely think he is going to get something from Saonel and Pirina though.

At least be happy that Piccolo will have a showstealer fight this Saturday, the equivalent of what Piccolo vs 17 was in Z.

Not possible if Gohan is involved and dominating the fight.

When is Piccolo's memorable solo fight going to happen?
If Roshi gets one then there is no excuse for Piccolo not to get one.

I don't care what anyone says, under no circumstances should Roshi, 17 and 18 be getting better treatment and screen time then Piccolo does.
