How would you guys feel about Grand Priest being The Final Villain of the show?
Before you guys jump on me I am not saying he IS evil because "his smirk" or anything like that.
Now with that out of the way. The scale for future villains has been raised significantly in this arc as has been custom for the history of the franchise. The next villains will have to be beyond Jiren and the Gods of Destruction. There is still seemingly a huge gap between Gods and Angels so a few arcs can be created with that but eventually goku should/will reach the level of the angels and beyond and what better way for him to finish his story than have to defeat the strongest guy in the multiverse?
I also want this cause of i love the grand priest character along with all the angels and more screentime for him/them is better.

Although i don't think the Grand Priest is evil, i can see why he would try to backstab Zen-Oh and seize his throne, since 6 of his beloved children were supposedly erased from existence by the Omni-king for no real reason at all (aside from Zen-Oh being bored one day). There are many theories out there regarding the morality of the Grand Priest. I do believe he has -valid- reasons to hate Zen-Oh. I'm also pretty sure he's not -THE- strongest in the Multiverse, but one of the top 5 fighters in the entire Multiverse, meaning that there are people stronger than him out there - namely, Zen-Oh.
That being said, i hope he will not also have a deep hatred for mortals. That is Zamasu's trait and i don't want the Grand Priest to steal what makes Zamasu unique from all other villains.

Akira Toriyama, DBS vol.4 joint interview with ToyotaroAt his core Zamasu is good like Shin, though I guess you could say he was so fastidious that it backfired. But you know, for this "Future Trunks Arc" you had to depict Zamasu and Trunks' inner conflict, right? If this was back when I was drawing the manga myself then I doubt if I could have done it. I mean, I'm not very good at depicting the characters' psychology on the page. So this all came together because now I only have to think up the story. [...] On my own, I doubt I would have been able to express Zamasu's fall to the dark side.

I'd be all for it.
He's the #1 fighter in the Multiverse. You gotta save the best to last right? He seems like he'd be a completely different kind of villain, not only have we not had an Angel as a villain but we wouldn't have had that kind of villain where they'd been built up in a positive way for a few sagas and then made the revelation that he's actually evil, kinda like they did with Aizen.
Also like Aizen I could see him being that really polite and composed villain who is one of the smartest characters around. He's also got a good character design.
I've thought for ages now that he should probably be the final villain.

Given how powerful he’s said to be, he’d make for an appropriate final antagonist to the series. That being said, we’ll have to wait and see whether or not they even plan on going that route.

Manga straight out said he's the strongest in all of the Multiverse. The Top 5 list in the Anime was people below him, not above.
Besides it'd make no sense and be a straight asspull for someone "even stronger" not be here watching the ToP right now.
And yes, I agree with Bullza. The Great Priest has the biggest potential to be the final villain of the Dragon Ball saga as we know it.

Don't know what to make of him just yet. When U9 got erased, Goku glared at the Grand Priest and he just smiled back, but I don't know if that subtle exchange is supposed to mean anything or if it's foreshadowing.
As of now, I could picture him as a manipulator of sorts. The seemingly obedient servant that controls the child king.

That’d be lame since the Guide Angels are dispatched by Zenoh.

When was it said Zenoh dispatched them? Anyways the angels aren't mindless robots as seen by the different between Kusu and Mojito in the ToP which means they are capable of following their dad instead of zeno if he ever decides to try to overthrow zenoMeshack wrote:That’d be lame since the Guide Angels are dispatched by Zenoh.

Toriyama said the Guide Angels are dispatched by Zenoh. I didn’t say they’re robots. Kusu liked her Hakaishin and Kaiohshin. Mohito did not like his Hakaishin and Kaiohshin and it’s clear why ge does since the Ninth Universe was the universe with the lowest mortal level. Since the Guide Angels are dispatched from Zenoh, I don’t see any rebellion here.BlueVegerot wrote:When was it said Zenoh dispatched them? Daishinkan has to be one of the most enigmatic characters in Super. You don't know what his personal feelings and exact motivations are. What we are aware of is his apparent detachment from the erasure of the universes. He seems convicted in the idea of this erasure transpiring, almost like he wishes to assert the finality of it once the universe is defeated and Zeno begins the erasing process. But on the other hand, we saw a more prospectively interested side of him when Goku brought the future version of Zeno to the present counterpart as a playmate. The conversation he had with Whis showed how the conduct of Goku intrigued him and that he would like to one day visit Universe 7 himself. So ningen, their culture and personalities do seem to hold some sway with him.
