DBS ranked 9th place for the first time ever, thats another issue.

According the list that's keeping track of the rankings, it's been 9th a number of times.

Those titles are still unconfirmed of course but there's nothing too outlandish in there either. Vegeta's already expressed interest in fightig Jiren so unfortunately I think he'd be stupid enough to do it. :/

122 being on there is the most suspicious because it would be the Dec 30th episode, which would mean that they're either not taking New Year's weekend off or the titles show the Jan 6th episode. Something seems off about that.

We always get at least the first episode of the following month (if that month doesn't start with a break), there is nothing weird here.
Either 122 is the final episode of the year or the first of next year, depending on when the break is.

If Vegeta confronts Jiren, the only thing we can expect is a humiliating defeat. He still did not have a great time in the tournament, and if his big moment was that, it would be embarrassing.

I'd rather see him face and defeat Toppo

Because we always get titles like this with no scans first, then the scans come later.
They could absolutely be fake, but we've just kinda gotten used to the leaks at this time being legit.

AGAIN, One Piece was down too, so likely something was going on during that specific hour that lead to somewhat lower ratings than usual.

Also, Dragon Ball Super has gotten 9th place before, so it isn't the 'the first time ever'. All you have to do is look at the first page on the ranking thread.

Its possible that Jiren decides that he can't leave things up to toppo and dyspo as time is running out and comes for goku and vegeta fights him to try to buy goku time cause otherwise i don't see why jiren would even bother with vegeta considering he didn't think anyone but goku/hit were worth his time

To note, that user is infamous for posting fake spoilers as fact. They did it just last month with Kefla fighting a fusion of the magical girls.

DBSUPER 122 is Takahashi's work and remember Toshio said he wrote a cool episode for Vegeta.
If the leaks are real, prepare to have Vegeta Ultra Instinct.

Seems in 121 we'll lost U3 and most likely the remaining Z (without the top3).
If we keep 2 minutes by episodes, we'll have only 7 minutes in the beginning of the 122.
Assume in 122 we'll have only Goku, Vegeta and Frieza with U11 (JirenXToppo), it's most likely the last 5 warriors !
I think Dyspo will lost before.
So Toppo will be Frieza opponent.

Korean spoilers. Nothing new for 119 so excluded that. We're only getting previews til 121 for December as it's the last episode to air. 121 reads title undecided -- not sure about 120, but pretty sure it's a U3 fight.

In the next decade or 15 years or so would be my guess. It wasn't that long ago when renting video games and movies was a lucrative business for years until Netflix showed up, and when companies like Blockbuster refused to adapt to the change in their business climate, they went bankrupt.

Most people get their news online nowadays, the traditional news outlets are slowly dying too. Nobody watches sports highlights that much on TV anymore too, most watch it online as well. Just look at the alarming rate that ESPN is losing its subscriptions. Many people are cutting the cord.

Mischi gave a good point, I don't know how that trend is going in Japan, but I don't think anything stops them from watching Super just like I do on YouTube. Many families are realizing cable tv is an extra cost they don't need when they have the internet.

So to answer your question, TV is dying, and given how fast things are going, I wouldn't be surprised if Baby Boomers saw it disappear in their lifetime.

Ranking is more important than ratings. The reason is it allows us to gauge interest among its peers and allows us to control for the very things you claim. For same has been said of VHS, DVD, Radio, etc. when viewed in the context of rankings we see of those “watching” tv we can see where they choose to allocate their time.
The rankings also allow us to better control for region events like weather, holidays, etc.

For instance we see all ratings rising and falling as a group thus events may all affect the shows to one point or another. The rankings again tells us of those watching tv where their interest was.

It’s how we compare Z against GT or Dragonball.
