Now that we're getting to the end it is kinda odd Freeza seems to have no major opponent. Seeing Jiren just one-shot Freeza would be awful of course, I have no idea what he's going to do.
At this point I'm more interested in what happens with Freeza after the tournament ends than what he's doing now. I don't see him just going back to Hell again, but if he becomes "good" I will probably have a complete mental breakdown. On the other hand making Freeza into a major villain where he's not quickly defeated again would be a good idea too, but it needs a long arc for that to happen.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I was suprised on my browsing of DB News today to see my name mentioned and my reaction to 117 and Brianne's faith on these forums to be seen in such positive light. That means allot for me as a fan of Brianne's for trying to get that ideal across of positive one can best be, glad it left an impression, but mostly I want my posts to help put Brianne and U2 be seen in the best light I can show possible, Thanks for that HeroR.HeroR wrote:Yes, it's entitlement because you're blaming characters that have nothing to do with your favorites lack of spotlight.
Here is what you're missing. It isn't about being upset that your favorite got ringed out. It's being upset and then blaming characters you don't like for them going out. For example, if Gohan was the one taking the fall, I would be defending Piccolo if Gohan fans blamed him, for example, for staying in since 'Gohan is more important'.
You can have a favorite character and cheer for them without, quite frankly, being an asshole. Look at CJStriker_CBR. They were a hardcore Rib fan, suppotive her through thick and thin despite a lot of people hating Rib. When Rib was eliminated in 117, people who hated Rib sympathized with them despite their personal feelings on the character. Because they were an overall positive person who didn't have to shit on other characters to promote their favorite. They were actually happy that 18 got the win, the way she won, and hoped Rib learned from it. That is how you support a character, not acting like a jerk and whining when things don't go your way. And keep in mind, CJStriker_CBR was upset that Rib went in 117 because she felt she deserved another episode and should have rung out someone from U7 because of all the scene time she got.
Show me the interview where the directors of this arc said they were fanboys of the androids.
Again, 17 and 18 getting focused didn't 'steal' from Piccolo. You can argued that Goku did, but 17 and 18 had nowhere near as much spotlight, they disappeared for several months, and they're just now getting focused again. 17 and 18 existing didn't somehow lead to Piccolo being rung out now or him having little battles. That was how the arc was design.
The androids appeared together in a title card. I mean, the same rundown that showed Roshi throwing a kick when he was so tired he could barely stand at the start of this episode and the beginning of 107.
Also for the record I am Male.
Indeed I was not happy about 117, but while the story elements I can debate about, a character is still a character that is important to their fanbase. Android 18 IS important to groups of fans, for them her moment was something they been waiting for to see her shine in, so indeed My Joy to 18 fans for getting a moment they will treasure, I just hope they see Brianne in a Positive light as well cause she was apart of that and Brianne's Character gave her all for here universe as their champion but it just was not enough. But she learned a lesson from it to Grow herself, showing she is a deeper character then many may have thought.
In the end it should not be worrying if one character gets promoted at the expanse of another, it needs to be on the solo character's merits mostly alone on how they are Judged. In that, showing the positives in such a Defeat for Brianne and why her character become better from it in hoping others see that as well and that her character has merits to grow better from it.
Also, 118 was a GIANT Gift Towards Brianne cause it IMO it redeemed allot of the questions I and other fans had about her ideals of Love and it showed they are real in their own unique ways. The Power mainly being that of their People and their Love for their Champions, their Universe and Goddess, that they fight FOR them, that is real love in its on special way and Showed Brianne as a Lady with Massive Responsibilities on her Shoulders as their champion, something new to many characters in the DB Mythos. It really touched my heart as a fan and honestly we may not have gotten that if not for the 18 and 17 battle.
So Bigger good can come from a Lose, storytelling is a pretty amazing thing when done in a Clever way like that.
These are some of the messages I want to get across about Brianne and why character battles, one over another, does not benefit, it just jades us from seeing the Merits in other characters and the Views of Fans of those characters, for me, giving Merits to Brianne means Remember to honor others fandoms as well like I would like to be honored in the same way.

But onto the Characters being Promoted over other charcters thing;
Over the Years I have learned from friends, espically in debates on Marvel Comic Characters, to call such views on one character getting pushed down to promote another character to look good as Foil or what I call Foilism - The main definition meaning "To Prevent to from Succeeding."
But that takes allot of evidence to prove and why a worry can be their, it is harder to prove and why one should rethink in engaging in debate over it.
Here is what I think the longterm truth might be on these characters in Super might be.
While I do think Toei did nerf allot of characters lately, I think it was overall done to not have to many overpowering characters near the end and done for important reasons for the benfit of the characters in the future arc. You should only have around half a handful of characters on Goku and Jiren's overpowered levels at a time, otherwise the uniqueness of that level becomes less unique. I think with this they wanted to save allot of developmental Story for characters like Brianne, Sanka Ku, Su Roas, Cabba, Kale and Caulifla to leave them room to grow, to train, the learn, to have to so more development while doing with other member of U7, forming bonds and personall connections.
118 is a Gem that I keep analyzing and in that we saw and heard both U2 saying the U7 where great warriors of love, maybe the highest complement U2 can give of an opponent while Androids 17 and 18 made claim their faiths in the ToP keep being connected to U2 and by the end when U2 was erased 18 gave them honor by saying their where true to themselves right until the end and in the end threw everything they where COOL with 17 agreeing.
IMO these little moments are the Elephants in the story that are important, the fact that Toei seems to be hinting at Future relationships between U7 and other Universe;
* Vegeta with Cabba as well as the U6 Saiyans
* Goku with Kale and Caulifla
* Piccolo and Gohan with Saonel and Pirina as well as the U6 Namekians
* Brianne and U2 with Androids 17, 18 and Krillian over their combat in the ToP and showings of True Love.
I believe Piccolo has already shown great character and honor, allot thanks to 118 and if he goes or not I will as a Fan of His be proud of what he has connected to in the ToP, mostly Gohan, Saonel, Pirina and the U6 Namekians. Greatness in not just gained by how many wins you have, but more importantly how ones character develops and becomes better on a personal level.
Same goes with all the characters I mention and how by being connected Uniquely to one another how their shared faith will help keep them all in the Limelight and develop with each other now more as Friends then Opponents cause in the end they are all Good Guys, they just need not have a ToP mask that anymore.
As a Fan of Brianne's, if this does become so, I am Greatly Looking forward to The Androids 17, 18 and Krillain and maybe even their daughter Marron having a special connection with U2, Brianne, Sanka Ku and Su Roas going forward. That is my hope and bigger view of this. I hope other fans of U2, DB and the Android Fans like Lapislettuce would enjoy this too.

Indeed I have always gravitated more towards female characters in my life cause I find women more interesting and their characters more complex, more unique personalities with deeper wells of emotions they bring just name a few aspects that make female characters greater to me IMO.
Comics, Movies, TV Shows, Books, Anime, all fiction media I have gravitated more % wises towards the the female characters in liking them. I have my favorite male heroes indeed like Captain America and others, but I always considered myself more of a Joss Whedon like Fan, I like strong female heroes and development/struggles as characters.

Less than 24 hours before we witness Piccolo biting the dust.
But I'm sure he wont be embarrassed, NOTHING will come close to Tiens elimination, that was embarrassing how he went full retard in episode 106, and it felt forced how Beerus was praising him.

Piccolo knocks out an opponent. Gohan gives him a good natured slap on the shoulder and he goes sailing out of the ring like he was shot out of a cannon.perucho1990 wrote:Less than 24 hours before we witness Piccolo biting the dust.

Other people may disagree, but I would like to see U2 back as well. When they are written well, they have shown they can be quite enjoyable. Even if they don't appear in major arcs, I would definitely enjoy seeing them in future fillers at least, they could do some entertaining stuff with them. And if/when they do come back, I hope it's not just the Kamikaze Fireballs, I do hope they bring some of their teammates with them, because I definitely wouldn't mind seeing Jimeze and Vikal again(I don't think I can die happily until I see Vikal in a proper fight scene, her design is so good).
Anyways, outside of U6, U2 has probably left the biggest impression on me this arc alongside the Trio de Dangers and Katopesla.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I have for along while honestly yea, indeed I was more for Brianne winning over 18 but that fight showed otherwiser. For awhile I was luke-warm on 18 over her episode 100 comments to Krillin, the "I can't believe your my husband" thing...... Yea was not too happy about that.Totamo wrote:Then you must love 18 right now.CJStriker_CBR wrote:That is ok, over my posting years If I had a quarter for ever-time I did that I could buy a can of soda or 2HeroR wrote:Sorry for getting you gender wrong.I guess I just assumed you were a girl since you adore Rib so much.

But I just got to expect 18 will always be like that, that is how she is, either very loving or very cold, it is kind of her thing.
