Not that it wasn't funny, but I didn't like that translation. In the original it was just a callback to the Zuno/Jaco gag, and the way Goku said it was more neutral. He probably doesn't even know why it'd be insulting. The dub made it sound like he had a problem with it, that he'd otherwise be interested.BlueBasilisk wrote:The way he was throwing shade at Bulma when he accidentally appeared in her bedroom. Well, he did try to give her boobs to Old Kai and complimented them for their bounce. He even said he didn't pick Chi-Chi since there is no bounce left in her anymore.Simere wrote:Not that it wasn't funny, but I didn't like that translation. And btw diffrent subject but i think the goku black ssj rose voice from xenoverse 2 is terrible. If that is the voice we get were fucked
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" FUNimation Dub Official Discussion Thread
Credits for Episode 43 show Arale being voiced by Brina Palencia (Puar, Chiaotzu). She voiced Arale in Budokai Tenkaichi 3, whereas Linda Young voiced her in original Dragon Ball's dub.
If it was in doubt, Brina will likely be voicing her for the upcoming Dr. Slump crossover episode.
Senbei Norimaki was voiced in the original Dragon Ball by the now retired Brice Armstrong, so expect a new person (likely R. Bruce Elliot) to take that role.

It is 'canon' and the episode explained why Goku didn't used the Kaioken until the second to last episode of the Future Trunks Saga.Thesagebeast wrote:I can't believe everyone thought this episode was canon at one point , this episode was completely unnecessary.

Plus further adds characterisation to Gohan (turning job down for his family), showcases the talent of baby Pan. But no fighting so must be filler and not necessary. Can't have Goku having moments of self reflection.HeroR wrote:It is 'canon' and the episode explained why Goku didn't used the Kaioken until the second to last episode of the Future Trunks Saga.Thesagebeast wrote:I can't believe everyone thought this episode was canon at one point , this episode was completely unnecessary.
If we just got from A to B we'll get something patchy and unwhole like the DBS manga, Goku's relationship with Hit is non-existent in the Manga for example.
Furthermore this episode brings up #1 with the Zenny so this is all happening in the same continuity, nothing is contradicting anything there is no "filler".
Plus it also explains why Goku still only uses KK in patches instead of full on how did against Hit in #39/40.
It is funny without this episode you'd have people whining why Goku isn't using KK crazily like he did in those episodes "oh this is fake tension this battle will be over if Goku went KK properly".

What part of this comes off as "noncanon" to you?Thesagebeast wrote:I can't believe everyone thought this episode was canon at one point , this episode was completely unnecessary.
Only dubs that matter are DB, Kai, & Super. Nothing else.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" FUNimation Dub Official Discussion Thread
Why is this.... It IS canon, every single episode of Dragon Ball Super is canon to the Dragon Ball Super canon. There is no one canon for everything Dragon Ball. Why can't anime fans understand this? For comic fans it's easy, just use the Multi-Earth theory for DC meaning everything is canon to it's own universe and there is no one true canon, this is the exact same thing. Dragon Ball Super has no filler and it has no "non-canon" episodes.

Yes it does since it's 'canon' to the anime.puar wrote:It still dosent make it canonHeroR wrote:It is 'canon' and the episode explained why Goku didn't used the Kaioken until the second to last episode of the Future Trunks Saga.Thesagebeast wrote:I can't believe everyone thought this episode was canon at one point , this episode was completely unnecessary.
Seriously, something being 'canon' isn't based on you liking it.

filler = episode that in between diffrent arcs. this episode is filler because its between arcs period. thats not something debatable its a factHeroR wrote:Yes it does since it's 'canon' to the anime.puar wrote:It still dosent make it canonHeroR wrote:

Filler means, filling time or stuff happening that has no consequences on the main story. This isn't filler since Goku not using the Kaioken until the second to last episode of the Future Trunks Saga is an important story point.puar wrote:

What you described is your personal definition of filler, not a fact.

thats not an importent story point at all. you also dont have a proof that this is the reason he dident used the kaioken. 0 proof to that. that was a filler episode periodHeroR wrote:Filler means, filling time or stuff happening that has no consequences on the main story. It is since Goku could have beating Black easily with the Kaioken, especially the Kaioken x10. It was outright said in the episode that Goku overusing the Kaioken and pushing himself made him severely sick and it could crippled him if he get careless again. So what do you mean I have zero proof?puar wrote:

So why it dosent cripple him in the TOP? According to the episode it was because he fought a lot. Not because the kaioken. The word kaioken was not mentioned even onceHeroR wrote:It is since Goku could have beating Black easily with the Kaioken, especially the Kaioken x10. Because he has gotten used to doing it. The TOP takes place over a year after the Champa Saga, while the Future Trunks Saga happens at best weeks afterwards.puar wrote: So why it dosent cripple him in the TOP? The episode said that he got sick because he used his ki in a excessive and unusual way and we see Goku have a flashback to the Kaioken x10. King King then confirmed it was the Kaioken and the way he fought Hit.
To say that word Kaioken wasn't mention even once is also an outright lie. Goku mentions the Kaioken at 6:11 in the episode and King Kai mentions it at 8:20 and 8:39. Not to mention the freaking flashback of Goku using the Kaioken x10. Seriously, did you even watch the episode?

It's not. Bulma goes from not pregnant to about to give birth from the Black arc to the Tournament arc.
