It ends with Piccolo telling goku he will train gohan and asking goku " do you think we can win without him?"

Damn, [insert Goku terrible father meme here], I hope Gohan proves his worth to be part of the team.

Goku seems a lot more dismissive and crabby toward Gohan than he is in the anime. I'm not really liking that.

I, too, wonder if this time he'll get a punch in on Hermila before losing.
He'll probably get offscreened or unceremoniously thrown out with other fodders.
I have zero expectation for Tien rendition of the Tournament Of Power. I have horrible feeling that, as you said, he'll be eliminated off-screen among other disposable characters without getting a single elimination. Which would be fucking terrible.

It would make more sense. I can't believe that after scouring their universes, the Gods bring out such weaklings that even Tenshinhan can beat them.

The general consesus of the fandom said the manga version of the ft trunks fell apart in 16 so maybe thing will go different here considering toyo is having a streak of good chapter while the first one being the only stinker imo,he is improving with the pacing, antagonist and less exposition,i would have expect 15 pages on cell vs satan like go kart and trunk vs dabura now i'm proven wrong.True we have to wait for the TOP to truly see how things will go here.

If that happened make you wonder why toriyama brought back tien.

Saw someone say this elsewhere, the end scene of the manga is the opposite of the cell games where goku was the one propping up gohan while piccolo was questioning it. I think toyo is taking the route of gohan impressing goku with his power and regaining the confidence he once had in him as opposed to the anime where goku is still his biggest cheerleader

I wonder if Toyo can top the anime's absolute humiliation of half the cast.

What the hell are you talking about?

Krillin and 18 hold their ground against SSB Goku.

#17 fought Goku on equal terms.

Gohan gave Goku a hard time.

Roshi amazed Goku with his progress.

Frieza almost hakai'd Goku.

Vegeta is his equal.

Piccolo and Tien were the only ones who disappointed their fans.

It actually works when you about it. These universe are governed by Hakaishin and Kaioshin that don't their jobs effectively enough. It would make sense if the people they chose to fight for their universes wouldn't be the absolute best they could offer. Especially considering they had a very limited amount of time to work with.

Gohan is responsible for two universe erasures.

Gohan got destroyed by Jimeze twice and was totally helpless against IT, something Caulifla and Freeza easily countered. He also got humiliated against Hermila and caused Piccolo to lose several arms. He's been embarrassing to watch, honestly.

And Piccolo has been losing arms non-stop and fell from the ring in a totally comedic fashion, I'm wondering if they've decided to make him a gag character now.

In 108,he look like a confused puppy without piccolo,in 97 with no one of his squad listened to him now in 118 he is shown to be very strong & tonight will be his moment to shine.
