And Toei forced FUNImation to change the voices because they have something against TFS? Wow, that's surprising I though Toei didn't even know they existed.

Sabat's heart was in the right place, but good on Toei for not wanting the franchise to closely connected to a parody version.

Heard a little more of dub Goku Black now that English footage of FighterZ has started coming out. He's sounding pretty good!

Sean has totally committed to the British accent though, to the point I can't help but imagine he was sipping Earl Grey in the booth. I know not everybody liked that direction, but personally, I think it sounds fine. The version of Rose that debuted in Xenoverse 2 was on the right track, this looks to be that but improved. Looking forward to hearing it in the show.

He actually tone it the accent down from Xenoverse. I wished he would drop it for nothing else so I won't have to hear sub fans constantly bitch about it. But for the most part, fans' problem wasn't with Rose Black. It was base form Black that had issues.

TFS doesin't even compare, Drummond is from a part of official DBZ dub history. He has his place and should be respected, TFS is a sub genre at best. I enjoy what they do, but there popularity is a double edged sword. There's something wrong when I walk into a hot Topic and I see a "just saiyan" T-shirt. That leaves a bad taste in my mouth, DBZA should never come close to feeling like a part of the franchise, the series is silly enough, it doesn't need a legion of fans thinking it's some valid and alternate way to watch the series. That's far worse than the nostalgia fans that only want there toonami version, quality be damned.

TFS is great, but it's also done a lot of damage to the series. It's REALLY annoying to see TFS quotes plastered in the comments of ANYTHING Dragon Ball related as if it's funny. "DODGE" wasn't funny the 10,586th time someone said it, and it's not going to be somehow funny the 10,587th time.

They've also tricked a chunk of the fanbase into thinking MADE UP JOKES are CANON, like Goku being a terrible father who hates his kids (not going to entertain anyone that seriously thinks this, you just straight up don't understand the character if you truly believe that).

There is also a depression number of supposed Dragon Ball fans who never watched the actual series. I can't tell you the number of Super fans who only watched the Abridge series and think it's 'canon'.

Can you link some good clips if you can? I also really want to Hear Jame's current Zamasu because of Sean's whole British thing. Beacuse, if Zamasu dosin't have that accent, well, it really doesin't make much sense now does it?

That's very true, but limiting TFS obvious influence over the fanbase was a wise move by Toei. A parody shouldn't gain this much "power", that's where the double edged sword of there popularity I was talking about comes into play.

I don't think the gravelly voice should be kept, it was clearly a mistake based on lack of proper knowledge and direction. That said, it was funny to imagine Zamasu doing it. I can totally picture him on his own in front of a mirror (ala Travis Bickle) trying to sound badass and cool, and doing that voice.
