I must say that I hated Mirai no/Future Trunks. I really did. I think his hair is skanky, and... I dunno. I don't mind GT Trunks, I actually like that he's a wee bit like Vegita (in a few episodes where he isn't acting really weird... although seeing him go into panic-mode is strangly amusing). Also, Chibi Trunks is... seven. Having young siblings myself, I think being a brat is pretty normal for that age. :P

Sorry, but Chibi Trunks is 8, not 7. There is a year's difference between Goten and Trunks, plus in the Junior Division of the Tenka'ichi Budokai, the announcer clearly states their ages in the original Japanese.

Oh, yeah. Oops. I had been talking about Goten with a friend just a couple minutes earlier. :P Sowwie.

I don't usually like going with the majority, but in this case Future Trunks (with long hair & saiyan combat suit) is my favourite. He's just totally bad-assed as USSJ2.

I totally agree. THANK YOU!

I don't like Future Trunks because he was kinda... a guest star. I knew from basically the moment he told Goku about himself that he would be leaving, and when he came back again... he's the returning guest star! I dunno. It's just the "real thing" (being the main timeline and so also the main timeline's Trunks) versus the "guest star that will be leaving soon." It just didn't make sense for me at the time to call Trunks one of my favorites (I also thought that USSJ or whatever its called was really ugly), and when Buu and the rest arrived on T.V (this being before I saw it in JP) I just figured that this was "real Trunks."

That all made no sense. u.u

In a sit-com reference, bad as it will be: There's a sitcom you like. Great show. It's funny, cool characters, lots of neat stuff going on. One day, a famous celebrity appears on the show. Maybe theres a plot line where he/she dates on of the main characters briefly, then goes on with his/her life. Until one day, the sitcom brings him/her back for another episode, and another story-line. It's great fun, but... it would be a little weird to say that he/she is your favorite character in the show.

I dunno. That's just my general thoughts about Future Trunks. :P

Maybe not a deliberate character assasination. Toriyama made some rather ugly changes for characters throughout the course of the series. Look at Yamucha during the Buu saga, or Bulma when Trunks arrived. He had no reason to try and ruin Trunks alone. As far as we know, he didn't hate Trunks, and he didn't seem to try to ruin anyone else's design (unless he was the one that decided Vegeta's hairstyle and moustache, at which point I won't argue any further...) He may have been trying to alter Trunks so that he wouldn't be a copy of his future self.

Short or long hair, he's the same fellow, and he's my choice over lil' Trunks. I rather like that he left at the end, too...DBZ could have used such "character sweeping" a lot more, and there's all sorts of fun stuff that could be done with hs alternate reality (Mirai Boo!)

I wonder what Trunks would look like with a moustache...

I like Future Trunks. His whole intro and the killing Freeza thing was just so fun to watch. When he came back later though he got boring. I don't really care much for little Trunks...

I saw a fanpic of Trunks with a moustache once; not suprisingly, it makes him look a bit like King Vegeta.
