It's just a terrible situation. I'm only going off of what I've read here and have looked into regarding double lung transplants, so I may have misunderstood everyone, and I really hope that's the case, but I don't want to get my hopes up, only to have them come crashing way down.

...maybe Greg Ayers can pull a nerima daikon brother so thing and somehow copy his brothers voice full you again like he did with the main guy in that show. Seriously though how did he do that?

There are voice actors who're trained mimics, or have close enough natural voices to be able to voice match others. Like James Arnold Taylor voice-matching Ewan MacGregor as Obi Wan in all Star Wars animated material, or when he voice-matched Johnny Depp in Kingdom Hearts 2. Also Travis Willingham being able to mach Dameon Clarke sometimes as Cell for DB video games. Also Lanipator voice-matching Sabat in DB Abridged for Vegeta & Piccolo, although he definitely has his own way of doing Vegeta that sets his & Sabat's apart. In any case, I think Daman will grow into the role as he gets more material to do outside of this game & those few lines in Super. When it gets to the TOP arc, he'll most likely be able to get more comfortable in the role. He's already doing a good job, so he's a worthy successor to Ayres.

I didn't say he was 100%, but he's close enough. I love Ayres' Frieza too, but, short of getting Little Kuriboh to take up the mantle, I think Daman will be good as long as they'll have him.

...but he sounds too weak and pathetic when voicing him. Ayres frieza had a sense of strength and power when he voiced him. Damon sounds like a work, a weasel, a weak pathetically little amoeba.

He actually tone it the accent down from Xenoverse. I wished he would drop it for nothing else so I won't have to hear sub fans constantly bitch about it. But for the most part, fans' problem wasn't with Rose Black. It was base form Black that had issues.

Let the sub fans stick to their precious subs then, dub isn't over-writting that. Sean shouldn't change what he wants to do just to appease a few rando's on twitter or what not.

While I agree with most of this, the changes to Magetta were odd and honestly wondered why it happened. I just wished people asked Sabat instead of grabbing the pitchforks.

As for Black Rose, the accent seems a little odd since he should just sound like an arrogant, polite, asshole with Goku's voice. But I remember MasakoX talking about it and said that a 'British' accent is needed for the arrogant/polite tone, which is what he does when he plays Black in those short clips, which got a lot of praise funny enough. But overall, the hyperbolic over Sean's version of Black has gotten out of hand with comparing to Funi earlier in Z.

Btw, how long ago has FighterZ been recorded? It has to be awhile for at least the sub because of the whole thing with Bulma, so I assumed a few months ago.

He only really sounds weak in FigtherZ. In the Resurrection 'F' Saga, Damon replaced Ayers in Episode 26 and no noticed the different until the saw the credits.

Thanks for this. So Sean's Black can still sound different from FigtherZ since Sean and Sabat sat down about it after May to my knowledge. And it also showed he abandoned the base Black voice awhile ago.

I'm not 100% sure on that, sorry. I was only told about the Xenoverse DLCs about 2 or 3 months in advance of announcement, so either they don't record those that far in advance due to them being digital only, or my source was told late.

Daman is fine, and once again no to Kuriboh. His Freeza voice sounds like the dude is pinching his nose when he's voicing him. It lacks the androgynous edge brought by Chris/Daman and dials the evil britishness up way to much.

I just hope that in the dub of Super, Sean Schemmel will find this middle ground where he still sounds similar to Goku, but the way he speaks and deliver his lines will remind me of Zamasu.

My biggest gripe with this whole British accent thing is that there is nothing about that voice that sounds like Goku. It also doesn't sound very intimidating. If they want him to sound more condescending, then do that through the writing and delivery. Don't just slap on a British accent.

Yeah, Sean needs to find that sweet spot and balance like Nozawa did.

You know what would be Super awesome? (Pun intended, as always). If we had an Ocean dub of Super, and while Drummond voices Regular Vegeta, It would be Sabat who voices Copy Vegeta. Tell me that wouldn't be dope!
