I know you might be joking or whatever, but I'm going to take this opportunity to be a big yellow chicken fatpants and basically say - despite how much better these are over FUNimation's discs, they're still fairly heftily priced DVDs of a show. On top of that, they'll be obsolete in a few years. Education lasts a lifetime, don't be a sap.nwoo_2002 wrote:I know the term 'best' is purely subjective but these releases are going to be the best for me over the Funi releases. I think I know where my student loan will be going.

I can say that FUNi's release of the special lacks the DAN DAN opening sequence and eye-catchers that're present in the Dragonbox set's. I personally think FUNi's release of it is of pretty good quality, but I can't compare it to the Dragonbox's inclusion. Hopefully someone with both versions of said special can give ya' a fair comparing scoop.nwoo_2002 wrote:Well it was a joke but nevermind nice to see education is still cool. Seeing how the tv special has no current future release, is there much of a difference between the Dragon Box and the Funi release in terms of quality?

According to the Daizex movie guide the GT TV Special doesn't have an opening theme.Conan the SSJ wrote:I can say that FUNi's release of the special lacks the DAN DAN opening sequence and eye-catchers that're present in the Dragonbox set's. Before the special was released by FUNi, I'd already seen it compliments of a fansub. It had the DAN DAN opening theme. Not sure if the Dragonbox retains it or not.SatoSky wrote:According to the Daizex movie guide the GT TV Special doesn't have an opening theme.
