Maybe Beerus is the one who doesn't understand the other characters? He is after all a self-centered cat, who spends most of his time sleeping and likely didn't exchange more than 5 words with 99% of the cast(we certainly never saw him interacting with them much).

Implying Mr.Toriyama doesn't know his main character principal trait is ridiculous.

Talking about Boo, I wonder what Toyotaro/Toriyama has against his character, I mean they can't figure it out things to do with him? Or they just think his broken regeneration and techniques would make the tournaments (Champa/ToP) too easy no matter how stronger the foes were?

Next two chapters, I think Toyo can finish up Freeza, the u6 saiyans and Gohan and then in a chapter 34 start the tournament

Even if we assume this, Goku knows his friends aren't chicken shits and Beerus can't do anything to him even if the secret gets out so it's really stupid regardless for this to be a secret. Unless Goku is a pants shitting moron now (which he is) and doesn't remember all the times they did stuff despite world ending consequences, this makes no sense.
When someone tells you, "Don't present your opinion as fact," what they're actually saying is, "Don't present your opinion with any conviction. Because I don't like your opinion, and I want to be able to dismiss it as easily as possible." Don't fall for it.

I agree that it's a stupid plot point.
I see no problem with Goku doing what Beerus told him to. He's just following along and will stop the lie when it inconveniences him like he did with #17.

Goku turning against Beerus and saying" No Beerus-sama, I won't hide this from my friends. They are heroes, fearless heros! We are the Z-Fighters protectors of Universe 6!"; now that would be unsettling.

I mean he did blatantly disobey Beerus when he asked Zeno for the tournament so it's not out of character

Goku telling him "Nah! They won't quit, we've done this stuff lots of times already!" is perfectly fine and in-character and as you pointed out, Goku just tells everyone the truth sooner or later so why the fuck is this even a thing.

It's also in-character for him to tag along, not wanting to hear Beerus scold him any more. I find this particular bit perfectly in-character.

I still don't get the purpose of the plot point. Maybe the manga will make something out of it? #18 punching Goku would be cool. Doesn't make this less stupid but it would make it worthwhile at least.

Simple enough they never planned anything for him or care enough about him,it has nothing to do with his abilities when all of his haxes do not matter in the face of strength.
And honestly its better that way,Boo is pretty boring as a character and as a fighter, the last thing we need from him to is take screentime from characters that are more interesting and are better fighters.

I don't think so. By what we got so far in ToP we can count on fingers characters that are stronger than Boo (not including U7). About his haxes: we know the only way of defeating Boo is a powerful technique that could obliterate him instantly, if someone manages to knock him out I think he's able to leave tiny pieces of himself to come back to the ring again. He can also use his Candy Beam to turn a large portion of the fighters into candies and instead of sucking for himself he can blow all of them out of the ring.
Also I don't think he is a boring fighter at all, his fight against Basil was the most interesting match on the Zen-Oh Exhibition Matches

Problem is,Buu never use its abilties effectively and we know he does not think ahead(the only version of Buu that thought ahead was Super Buu),Fat Buu is an idiot.

As for the Exhibition Matches,Gohan vs Lavender was the best as it had a good balance of strategy, close combat and beam usage.
Buu's was the same old thing where his opponents pummels him and then recovers from it due to his regeneration and then Buu simply beat him up(pretty much, unless of course you mean in terms of animation then yeah Buu's was the best.

Right, that's a ridiculous stretch. 17's personality/character is hardly any different in the manga/anime. I love how people exaggerate in an odd attempt to push their bias.

It's not bias, I want to like the anime more as that's what I'm more accustomed to. I watched Z before I ever read the manga. It just happens to be garbage, especially when handling characters. The dialogue flows much better here, Goku's first interaction with 17 much more fun than in the anime, and their fight felt a lot more organic as well as staying within the realm of possibility. it was also a good use of SSj3.

While the prefence is subjective, the anime is a very low ceiling, especially the top.
Why power levels are important?

Is it the black saga or the animation of the current saga.
Since the manga already did a good introduction to U11 ,i really want Toppo & Dyspo do something more in the actual tournament and not just sitting around.I also want Jiren & Dyspo not to be potrayed as jerks here.
