from what we know the anime is canon and the manga is toto's world. So that means AT never gave his clearance for vegeta to obtain ssj red in the anime that's why we wont see it ever in the anime.
Re: So it seems no SSG Vegeta in the anime
1. Anime is Toei's world (while, like you said, manga is Toyotaro's world). Also, we don't know that, as there's no such thing as "this is canon and this is not". What exists when it comes to Dragon Ball Super are multiple continuities in which the viewer must choose one to follow (or, if you really want to say something is canonical or not, then the only thing left for you to say is "Toriyama's outlines are canonical, the rest are just versions from different entities").jplaya2023 wrote:from what we know the anime is canon and the manga is toto's world. 2. The idea to have Super Saiyan God Vegeta came exclusive and directly from Toyotaro. Toriyama didn't even think about it until Toyotaro brought it. If Toei wants, they can present Super Saiyan God Vegeta too.

You're just making this up aren't you ? I wish people would stop using speculation and opinions as facts.jplaya2023 wrote:from what we know the anime is canon and the manga is toyo's world. 1) there's no "canon" for Super as both are supervised by Toriyama. The closest thing we have to "canon" are Toriyama's basic outlines of the events which we'll most likely never see (apart from RF's movie script which was given away back in 2015).
2) Vegeta not using Red in the anime is because the writers don't want him to or because they're saving it for later. Toriyama only giving his OK for one version to use it makes 0 sense.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

I'm hoping we'll see him use SSG later on in the tournament in the same way Goku used it, transforming into blue just before attacking. It would make sense for him to use it while fighting Toppo or Jiren to avoid the SSB stamina drain.
Re: So it seems no SSG Vegeta in the anime
Why would he used it against Jiren since saving stamina should be the last thing on Vegeta's mind.UpFromTheSkies wrote:I'm hoping we'll see him use SSG later on in the tournament in the same way Goku used it, transforming into blue just before attacking. Cell had no idea what the technique would be, also he felt confident because he was much stronger than Vegeta. As for Super - remember Vegeta vs Magetta? Final Flash was used after Galick Gun, and was portrayed as the stronger technique.BWri wrote:At first glance it might appear this way, but Cell gave Vegeta ample time to charge his FF and did not fight against it, merely tried to block it. Super doesn't treat one beam as superior over the other either. Vegeta uses them interchangeably and when he fires FF from the hip, it functions as any ordinary two handed beam, with no one commenting or reacting to its power. Of course, when charged like against Magetta, it's a different story, but so is a charged Kamehameha.Saturnine wrote:In terms of inherent power of beam techniques:
Kamehameha < Super Kamehameha = Galick Gun < Final Flash

With an opponent as powerful as JIren he will want to conserve every last bit of SSB energy for attacks only and not waste it while standing idle or dodging. It would require a lot of ki control to rapidly change between transformations on the fly, but if Goku can do it, I'm sure Vegeta can do it as well.HeroR wrote:Why would he used it against Jiren since saving stamina should be the last thing on Vegeta's mind.UpFromTheSkies wrote:I'm hoping we'll see him use SSG later on in the tournament in the same way Goku used it, transforming into blue just before attacking. What do you mean Goku came up with the rapid switching gimmick in the manga too? Wasn't he amazed when he saw Vegeta do it, even calling him a genius or something?
Re: So it seems no SSG Vegeta in the anime
Goku did it first in the manga against Hit one time. Goku praised Vegeta for continuously repeating the feat from red to blue unlike him.Saturnine wrote:What do you mean Goku came up with the rapid switching gimmick in the manga too? Super Saiyan God is slower than Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, so he would need Blue to dodge. And Vegeta didn't used this trick on Merged Zamasu in the manga, who Jiren is way stronger than.UpFromTheSkies wrote:With an opponent as powerful as JIren he will want to conserve every last bit of SSB energy for attacks only and not waste it while standing idle or dodging. Goku just saved Blue to use at the last moment (before Hitto used Time skip in full power).JazzMazz wrote:In the anime, Goku is the guy that came up with the red-blue combo. The same is true in the manga, or are you forgetting what happened during the (awful) Hit fight in the manga? If anything, Vegeta stole Goku's idea and expanded upon it to suit his purposes.Zeru14 wrote:Yeah it always irked me that the anime treated Goku as the originator for the red-blue combo,BWri wrote: It's strange that they just gave Goku Vegeta's invention from the manga. I don't get that decision at all. I think that's the main reason he should have it, is because he invented that technique. I mean sheesh, give the poor bastard something. I actually thought that and Gamma Burst Flash were some good ways to freshen up Vegeta's fighting style, but he has yet to show either in the anime.
Vegeta altered almost instantaneously (and inconspicuously) between the two forms constantly to save energy and maximize his attacks (as far as we know, Goku only wanted to save energy against Hitto)
Re: So it seems no SSG Vegeta in the anime
It's possible we see Vegeta use god in the anime. The anime used the red/blue interchange from the manga with Goku vs Dyspo.
Even used Hit signaling before he used Time-skip with the "vibration" sound against Dyspo. Just like the "twitch" sign before Time-skip in the manga.

It is slower? I thought Whis said Goku was using SSG for speed and SSB for power, which made sense to me since SSG looks more agile and lighter, but I could be remembering it wrong.HeroR wrote:Super Saiyan God is slower than Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan, so he would need Blue to dodge. Blue is faster and stronger than regular God. God however, is a massive upping from regular Super Saiyan. In context, Whis says God is faster than Super Saiyan and more stamina savvy than Blue, making it the perfect choice for a super high speed battle with Dyspo.UpFromTheSkies wrote:It is slower?
