Not to be really picky, but it should say Garlic Jr., Trunks, and Androids sagas. :P

I think they figured Garlic Jr. isn't really all that important.

At this rate we'll be back down to singles before they beat Boo.

I think it's relative to the story. Like this one ends when they find Cells ship.

We should be making bets on when the next season will end.

I'll bet the next one has 34 or 35 episodes, and ends at either the episode before or the actual episode where everyone is arriving to the Cell Games

That's determined by Sagas. They aren't out to make them shorter, that's not their diabolical plot lol That's just the way it turns out. They can't say "including the full Garlic Jr. Saga, Trunks Saga, Android Saga, and 3 episodes of the Imperfect Cell Saga!!!"

They could divide the sagas though, similar to how they had a Vegeta Saga 1&2 for the UUEs. Also, they have done that for the Dragonball releases.

Well honestly, they wouldn't be able to divide them. I mean if they divided the Imperfect Cell Saga and put it into the next set, it would have like 9 DVDs. They do it to fit in a 6 DVD span. So again, they can's imply say that they're going to include 3 episodes of their next Saga. People would wonder what's wrong with them. On the one hand, I see your point, but on the other, when you pop it and watch it, won't you say to yourself, "what a dumbass place to end this set! I want the Cell Saga!"

Okay then...so you think it's good. I think that Naruto's voice sounds like a teenager going through puberty that got kicked in the nutsack.

Isn't Naruto like 12? Technically he would be on the verge of puberty.
Anyway getting back on topic, I think I'll take a pass on this set too. Nothing has changed or wowed me enough.

I'm just getting it to have all the versions. Besides, I'm the type of person that if I have one, I need the rest. I NEED the Vegeta Saga one because they didn't release the rest of the Ultimate Uncut Series. Plus, sometimes, the color alteration seems...well...not bad. When you compare it to the original footage on a 4:3 TV, the only real cropping that you can notice is on the bottom (if you were watching it on TV, about up to half of the Cartoon Network sign lol) so it's worth it. Besides, again, as I said, HDTVs are the future. In 5-10 years, everyone will have an HDTV. If you have the originals, you really have 3 choices, watch it stretched out (looks like crap), watch it in 4:3 with black bars on the left and right (looks...incomplete), or watch it zoomed in (which is the same deal as the "Remastered" versions, except it crops even more because the "Remastered" has the side footage). Plus, the originals looks really weird on an HDTV. So all in all, I'd say that I can kinda see why they did what they did.

What are you talking about? I have an HDTV and am perfectly fine with watching other anime in 4:3. Just because there are bars doesn't mean that it's bad. People who have 4:3 TVs still buy widescreen movies so they can have more footage.

...I didn't say it was bad. In fact that's how I watch it. It's just looks weird that you have all that extra space.

I'll never understand people's problem with the black bars, I've watched widescreen movies letterboxed on my 4:3 tv for years, and when I finally drop some cash on a HDTV, having black bars on either side of a 4:3 image won't bother me at all.

It's definitely preferable to cropping or stretching.

I don't think many people have a problem with black bars. I only had Widescreen DVDs. Point is, it's just nice to look at when it's across the whole TV. By the way, as I said before, the 4:3 TVs have natural cropping and for years people didn't have a problem with watching it on a 4:3 TV. If you take the "Remastered" version and compare it to the 4:3 image, you'd notice that there is a very slight difference in the vertical image, but a lot more on the sides. If people didn't have a problem with watching DBZ on their 4:3 TV which crops it out to almost exactly the same picture lost on the top and bottom, why would you have a problem with it now? Let me demonstrate yet again:

Normal Full 4:3 Image

The Normal Full 4:3 Image and the "Remastered" Widescreen Image was caught on the computer via Snapshot. The Normal 4:3 Image as it Appears on a 4:3 TV was taken by a phone camera from a 4:3 television with the original 4:3 DVD.

When you compare the original 4:3 Full Image to the "Remastered" Widescreen Image, yes, there's a huge difference in the vertical imaging. HOWEVER, when you take the "Remastered" Widescreen Image and compare it to the 4:3 TV image, there is no cropping noticed at the top, and a slight difference at the bottom.

A 4:3 TV has natural cropping. If you have a DVD player that zooms out, you would notice this. The point is, for their entire lives (before the magic of the non-crop HDTVs), DBZ fans have watched a version of DBZ on a 4:3 TV that was naturally cropped and had just slightly more footage shown at the bottom than the "Remastered" Widescreen version. So if people have watched DBZ in that way for years, what is the really big deal to watch it like that now? I can see what FUNimation was thinking. Sure, if you have the original and pop it into the computer or an HDTV, you won't see any natural cropping and the image seems so much fuller from the top and bottom. However, if a fan just watched it on their 4:3 TV their whole life, why should they really care about the cropping? It was mostly in peoples' heads because they knew it was cropped.

Now, even on a 4:3 TV, the new "Remastered" Widescreen footage does crop naturally, BUT it only crops the sides (which still turn out to be more than on the original 4:3 image), but due to the black bars, it does not crop the top or bottom, giving you nearly the same amount of picture as if you were watching the series as it came on TV.

I am not defending the "Remastered" Widescreen series, but I kind of do see the logic in it. I guess they thought, "well they were watching a cropped version anyway, ours is even better than the one they were watching on TV because we have even more footage on the sides." And that was probably the basis of the decision that they made to do this. I hope people see where I'm coming from. That's why I still want to get both. Yes, the colors are different, but sometimes they do look better...sad to say, but yeah they really do look better than the original sometimes. It does truly create more of a cinematic feel. On top of that, there is side footage that was never before seen now. So all-in-all I wouldn't call it a rip-off. In fact, it's a great deal to pay $40.00 for 6 DVDs containing over 30 episodes. Never will you ever find a deal that great on a brand new Anime release.

Is this a moment of sarcasm? Cuz if not, I agree. That's an epic screenshot, right there.
