When was Supreme Kai's name ever revealed as Shin?
When was Supreme Kai's name ever revealed as Shin?
On Dragon Ball Wiki, it states Supreme Kai's name is Shin and also mentions this on Chronoa's Wiki. Although I like this, when was this revealed? It seems like DB Wiki just did this to do this. I know he used the name as an alias in the tournament, but is it revealed in Xenoverse or Super if his name is actually Shin?

Originally it was supposed to be only a nickname he used for the 25th Budokai, but as more Gods were introduced it turned out Shin is his real name.
His name is revealed to be Shin on the manga as well, by chapter 28/28 when all Gods are at Zeno's, i think.

Awesome. This is what I loved about Dragon Ball. We're still learning things, even today.GreatSaiyaman123 wrote:Originally it was supposed to be only a nickname he used for the 25th Budokai, but as more Gods were introduced it turned out Shin is his real name.

Well, beyond things like "First Super Saiyan in 1,000 years!" kind of things, Toriyama never really delved much into lore, history, etc. Just a primary focus on Goku, and the rare glimpse into the past of those he meets. So, there's actually quite a bit to still discover in the series.mecha3000 wrote:Awesome. This is what I loved about Dragon Ball. I do love me some DB but Akira Toriyama taking 20+ years to come up with an official explanation for things like SSJ's biology is sorta lazy writing. We're just lucky that Toriyama decided to get off his rear and fill in the blanks he left unanswered for decades, the man has always been a pencil & paper artist before a storyteller.mecha3000 wrote:Awesome. I was so surprised too when it was revealed that his real name was Shin. But, it does seem to suit him anyway.mecha3000 wrote:Awesome. This is what I loved about Dragon Ball. The biology of a Super Saiyan is hardly important to a story.theherodjl wrote:I do love me some DB but Akira Toriyama taking 20+ years to come up with an official explanation for things like SSJ's biology is sorta lazy writing.
