Vegeta has gone through training that Goku hasn't in the time chamber so their blues aren't equal. Also one surprise hit doesn't mean it's struggle.

I don't know if you can remember, but Goku has a little thingy called Kaiohken which makes him at least 15x stronger than Vegeta. Jiren beat that with a glare.
And it's not only the kick, Jiren's clearly surprised by his Final Flash. How?

And let's not forget SSJB Goku BEFORE KAIOKEN actually managed to push Jiren through several rocks before swapping hands with him and putting up a relatively good fight. Jiren also had to dodge a SSJB KAMEHAMEHA!!!!!!!

So, being one-shotted and stepped on as well means putting up a good fight?

Oh really? Are you already starting with hasty conclusions?

We do not know why Vegeta will be able to hit Jiren, whether it's going to be rage or some other UP in his power.

The point is that this is his first highlight fight in the tournament, so the least we can hope for is something decent, and Vegeta will not be defeated in a few minutes as some haters want

I don't want him to be defeated in a few seconds, but it should be this way after everything that has been said about Jiren. It's not hating, but common sense.

Ssj2 Vegeta was stomped by Kid Buu, who was just as strong as Ssj3 Goku. And this was the first example I thought of, but there are many in the original manga.
Anyway, I'm suore Toyotaro will fi things like this, and has already begun (see 17 vs Goku).

It's different. That was Hit's strongest attack, he hit his HEART and then stopped time.

By the way, since Goku used God, they should have used the opportunity to make Vegeta go God too. It doesn't make much sense that Vegeta just transformed into SSJ who is much weaker than God.

Good episode, but 17 should have gotten ringed out along with Aniraza at the end. We already know that Freeza will fight Dyspo, Vegeta will job to Jiren, Goku will fight Jiren, and Gohan will presumably fight Toppo, so there was no point in keeping 17 in the ring. The only thing he can do now is job to one of the Pride Troopers.

Gohan would get stomped by Toppo if he fights him alone so him teaming up with 17 against him is much better writing than Gohan having a last minute power up.

It wouldn't have mattered at that stage. SSJG ain't worth shit at this point in the plot.

Lets not forget that even the previews can be a bit misleading at times and show us almost nothing of how events truly play out.

It looked like #17 might have been out of the ring in last weeks preview but he's safe and sound. So lets not get too heated until we know the whole story.

Well, he actually fell off, but was saved at the end.

And Jiren getting hit in the guts and being surprised by a Final Flash is certainly happening and can't be a mislead.

You mean like beerus vs ragegeta? Its gonna be the same and vegeta fans are gonna be disaapointed. Let vegeta shine in this episode, cause i would love that, but dont think vegeta has the slightest chance against jiren.

(Btw i am a fan of vegeta, but I'm also realistic)

Not before making Jiren semi-serious against SSJB Goku. Goku's Kamehameha made Jiren flinch before dodging the attack, meaning it could've caused some damage.

I personally think its due to how they unlocked the form.

With Goku, the original ritual kicked in the door to god ki and it flooded his body while in a neutral state. SSG is the form Goku's body takes when god ki is allowed to just flow through a saiyans body.

Blue by contrast is what I like to think of as "God power tempered by mortal ability". When Goku and Vegeta go Blue they reach for god ki in the same way they do SS, with rage. This intensifies the reaction resulting in a more powerful form. Quit literally Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan.

Vegeta accessed god power through his training with Whis. His way did no kick down the door but peeped through the key hole and after he got a taste he could draw it out with rage. But he has never felt the power just flow over him and so he dose not know the right mind state to go into to achieve SSG.

That's my theory anyway.
