Goku was “done for” after his Spirit Bomb failed. So let’s see what happens after he’s maxed out.

Notably the NEP ends (up to the title announcement) on Goku saying "Draw forth power beyond your limits!". And a SSB Final Flash could be Vegetas "limit" effort, just like Goku's Genkidama was. Too bad we have to wait one week, the next episode and the NEP for 123 sound really interesting.

By the way, since Goku used God, they should have used the opportunity to make Vegeta go God too. It doesn't make much sense that Vegeta just transformed into SSJ who is much weaker than God.

I personally think its due to how they unlocked the form.

With Goku, the original ritual kicked in the door to god ki and it flooded his body while in a neutral state. SSG is the form Goku's body takes when god ki is allowed to just flow through a saiyans body.

Blue by contrast is what I like to think of as "God power tempered by mortal ability". When Goku and Vegeta go Blue they reach for god ki in the same way they do SS, with rage. This intensifies the reaction resulting in a more powerful form. Quit literally Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan.

Vegeta accessed god power through his training with Whis. His way did no kick down the door but peeped through the key hole and after he got a taste he could draw it out with rage. But he has never felt the power just flow over him and so he dose not know the right mind state to go into to achieve SSG.

That's my theory anyway.

But Vegeta can already go God in the manga, so they could make him transform in the anime too ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Beerus has yet to master the ability though he can use it. That might explain why he never undergoes the physical changes Goku did. I think Vegeta is doing the same thing, he's using an unmastered version of the ability and it will allow him to put up a fight against Jiren.

Have to agree here. There was a lot of talk about Hit hurting or even killing Jiren when people saw him land a punch on Jiren's chest just based on the NEP for 111. We later saw in the actual episode, Jiren was unaffected by the hit.

Regardless, just seeing Vegeta get those hits are nice.

What’s that supposed to mean?

I’m insinuating that when Goku was maxed out energy wise, we saw UI. If Vegeta gets Maxed out next episode, that by no means solidifies that he’s finished. You guys might not like it, but there’s a possibility Vegeta could have a similar situation as Goku.

We already see Vegeta and Goku are putting in some serious work on Jiren. It’s not far fetched to think we might see both of them utilize UI.

Piccolo got absurdly arrogant, which allowed Tien and Co to get the drop on him, holding him in place while Yamcha finished off his pride with a single punch.
