Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Nothing new from the spoilers, I see. However, that does beg the question as to what happens during Gohan and 17's fight with Toppo. Why does Gohan decide to stop fighting Toppo to help Freeza with Dyspo? What becomes of 17? And what of Toppo (before the whole GoD thing)?

You need the god Ki absorbed from Super Saiyan God in order to achieve the next transformation. Look at the name "Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan", everything you need to know is written in the very name. The blue-haired transformation is a Super Saiyan God that is transformed into Super Saiyan (hence the hair in Super Saiyan God is the same from the regular base form, and the hair in Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan is the same from the Super Saiyan form).YamiGoku wrote:Someone correct me if i'm wrong, but, they are two different transformations, one needs a ritual to be unlocked and is a SSj transformation different from regular SSj1 and the rest, and the other is SSj infused with God ki, no?
Well, there is Toei's continuity where it was said Vegeta attained Super Saiyan God Super Saiyan by himself, but in Toriyama's continuity (Movie 14), it is implied they will perform the ritual on Vegeta as well.

The super saiyan form of super saiyan god ? Why not just call it super saiyan god ? that's like saying you have a fried fried chicken.
Dragon Ball Super - Chapter 22:

July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

This isnt an arc to himself to be honest. Jiren is definitely going to be explored more.sintzu wrote:Probably not the next arc as he just got one to himself but we most likely will later down the line.Kenneth La Torre wrote:Thats kinda dumb if you ask me. They introduced the first ever mortal that surpasses the gods of destruction and you think he isnt going to be relavent the next arc?Legion wrote:I doubt that we'll see Jiren again after this arc. Yes. Like many other characters. Stronger than some God or no, Jiren is not different from others.Kenneth La Torre wrote:Thats kinda dumb if you ask me. Exactly. They will need Jiren to be used as a ladder to someone else stronger in the next arc.Kenneth La Torre wrote:Thats kinda dumb if you ask me. I'd literally sell my soul for Jiren to win this. Yes he'd likely get surpassed down the road, this is Dragon Ball after all, but to have my universe win would make me eternally happy.

Yeah, no. Jiren is definitely going to be relavent next arc, or at least still be there next arc.Legion wrote:Yes. Like many other characters. While Tournament of Power is about Jiren's Strength, the next arc should be about his Story.
ToP isn't a place where it can be explained since there is no time for that. His past, present and ambitions for the future.
We know next to nothing about this guy and he's stronger than a GoD. It should be a given to see him get actual focus after the Tournament ends.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Maybe 17 is frustrated that Gohan didnt take the chance to eliminate him with Toppo and ends up fighting Toppo alone. Thinking that he would be better off fighting solo. Ie. 17 asks Gohan to help Freeza instead.TheShadowEmperor8055 wrote:Nothing new from the spoilers, I see. Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
That would be hilariously embarrassing for Gohan. Gohan misses his opportunity to strike and 17's all "Go away. I'll do better alone." I would prefer for Gohan to conduct himself like a warrior, and not do something stupid. However, if he does, I would like to see him shamed a little. The universe is at stake, man up.Paragon1 wrote:Maybe 17 is frustrated that Gohan didnt take the chance to eliminate him with Toppo and ends up fighting Toppo alone. Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Ushering off a teammate when faced with a heavy-hitter like Toppo does not sound practical. We know Toppo has untapped strength which we only glimpsed back during the exhibition fights. The best chance for Universe 7 to beat him, excluding Goku's intervention, is to work together. Blunder or not, you can't overlook the danger that a solitary go at Toppo would pose to anyone that isn't Goku. Unless #17 could somehow hold Toppo off long enough for Dyspo to be eliminated and the still energised Saiyan/alien tyrant combo are able to return in time to help out, splitting up would not be good. Toppo represents the bigger threat and should be managed appropriately.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
My guess is Gohan realizes they need Freeza's help to beat Toppo so he has 17 keep Toppo busy while he (Gohan) goes to rescue Freeza from Dyspo.
Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
My guess is, Dyspo gets eliminated with the help of Gohan, then Toppo becomes very angry and goes full power. After that I assume Vegeta takes on Toppo, since he is to much for 17, Gohan and Freeza. Or Toppo eliminates all 3.

Funny thing is it's not..
Gohan has been really good this arc, this is probably his last stand here, taking dyspo down with him.. not bad for a guy who's last notable battle was being one shotted by first form freeza..
