This might be a stupid question, but why the hell is the PS2 version out in Europe today, but the Wii version is like more than 2 months away?!!! Makes no sense to me :p (The Japanese Wii version has already been released, right?) Could anyone please shed some light on this :?

when you say Europe that includes English right/ Because I have been waiting to spend my Birthday money and I'd rather not go out into town unless the game is definatly there.

Well, you should check the website of your stores, but as far as I know it hit the shelves here in France and Holland (so yeah, I would say in the UK as well, but you better check or call beforehand just so you won't waste your time ;) )

Well I checked the websites of the stores, both say that it came out today. Even if I don't fimd it I'll be able to order it to deliver to my house in 24 hours.

The Wii version was delayed because Nintendo had a ton of games to certify.

Yes it is. You can get four different versions of it (short, long, vocal, non-vocal) to battle along with. That's what those "??????" are in the song-selection area.
Ah, my bad. I didn't expect the intro to be included as battle music. Hopefully the NA release still has it as battle music then, at least the instrumental version.

Well, it ("it" being the OP as battle music) was in the last two games, as well :P. And the Budokai series before that...

I wonder, what US/EU versions will have instead - I mean Super Survivor non-vocal will surely be included (as it is intro music).
But probably the vocal versions won't... :/
Yeah, that's what I meant when I said that I didn't hear Super Survivor in any form in the video. That could include the Instrumental version, as well. Budokai 2 and 3 have the Instrumental versions of the intro song, so I thought that this would be the same with Super Survivor. Any version of Super Survivor is better then none at all! :P
Next quest: Buy the Super: Broly and Super Hero Blurays, also Daima whenever that releases in the states. Also the Super Manga!

Yeah, and what I am wondering about, is what they will do for these:
- Instrumental Full (could be in)
- Instrumental OP (could be in)
- Vocal Full (?)
- Vocal OP (?)

It would be interesting to know whether they just put in the vocal music or some other tracks (but which ones if so) - or they did it like always and just deleted the two vocals from the list ^^"

By the way, wandering around in the city, I saw the game was out today here in germany (PAL, Multi5 language, like always).
I didn't grab it though, as I will simply buy the japanese version now that there is that music thing and so on...
I mean, I really appreciate english voices (simply because I can understand what the characters are saying :P ) but I don't see any reason for not including the original soundtrack.

Well, so far my experiences with Tenkaichi 3 have been pretty good - apart from all these little nasty disturbances and bugs.
But as none of them are fixed anyway in US/EU versions, I decided to buy the japanese one, because it just feels more like DBZ to me with all the music and voices (even though I don't understand a word) ;)

EDIT:
I forgot to mention: there is another thing that interests me.
Did anyone get any information on whether the character passwords on the japanese website would work for our regional versions as well as for the japanese one?

Well I have the PAL version and I can say that there are NO ???? on the music selection screen. As per usual us PAL-ers got the full vocal intro (just like Budokai 2 and 3) but it seems we don't get any form of Super Survivor to play during battle. I can confirm this further as when I beat the Other World Tournament on 3-star difficulty and I got nothing, rather than one of the versions of the song.

I can only assume this will be the same for the US version, maybe even worse as you guys got instrumental versions of B2 and 3, so...

Apart from that and one or two other little things, I'm loving the game, by the way.
Er.... No.

WTF? when did the game come out?

I must have been sleeping under a rock or something.
(just ordered the game off play.com)

How many days ago did it come out?

EDIT

Nevermind it came out yesterday.

lol^^
Indeed it did, but it was very quiet and sneaky in doing so. ;)
(not mocking you or something, it really was so far away with all these supposed-to-be release dates around and "boom!" suddenly there ^^)

I checked out the european version today at a friend's and I can tell the same: Super Survivor isn't there as battle music.
But worse: The battle music is some silly "rock" again...
I mean, another soundtrack doesn't have to be bad by nature, but compared to Budokai 1 for example (where the soundtrack was really good), this soundtrack is somehow... crap...
There I'd have preferred the "old" Budokai 1 tracks instead.

What seems to look a bit better is the R3-button animation - it is now on the left side in storymode and it is smaller than in the japanese version - I think, this looks better.

What I noticed as well, was that (we tried both today) the japanese version seems to be a tip faster and more colorful than the european one.

Apart from the fact that you can choose between US-voices/jap. voices and the things mentioned above I didn't see any more difference to the japanese version. Also the bugs in the tournament ring and so on are still there.

I'd probably like the "western" version, if I wouldn't have seen the "eastern" one with the original soundtrack and so on ^^
But anyway, I'll get my japanese copy soon :P

Did the game really came out in Europe already? Amazon delayed mine 3 times already for no good reason o_O

Edit: I may have figured it out, probably out of stock already <_< I think I'm gonna look for it in a store around here, something tells me I'll have more luck that way.

Well the thing is that the Wii version was delayed until January and the Collectors Edition was delayed a week to the 16th. So unless you pre-ordered or went out looking for the regular PS2 version, you wouldn't have got it. I did have the Collectors Edition pre-ordered, but then when it got delayed I just got the regular version. A badly printed poster and an (admittedly decent) art book isn't worth waiting an extra week, especially since Assassins Creed is out then :)

Is anyone else annoyed at World Tour mode? I don't get why they thought getting a random difficulty level when each tournament comes around is a good idea. Cyborg Tao Pai Pai was the second from last character I unlocked, and I'd already played as him last year, it's just the After Life World Tournament took forever to randomly appear on 2-Star difficulty. I have still yet to unlock King Cold.... the Cell Games on 3-Star difficulty is damn hard.
Er.... No.

I never even got the point, why they thought this was fun.
I mean, okay, you can choose your own difficulty to play and so on, but for unlocking things you have to go in and out.... until you have the right tournament and difficulty :/

But the real thing, I hate (always in Tenkaichi-games) about tournaments is, that you cannot choose the stages as normal VS. stages like in Budokai - that would have been fun.
Second thing of course is, that you can't create your own "canon-like" tournament and play through it (not in tournament mode as well), either.

Another thing, that doesn't fit, is that one character can be in a tournament in multiple forms.
Now you could say "But they are all different characters for the game".
But a game, which can restrict your access in VS. mode and that "notices" if someone wants to pick "Freeza (1st form)" and "Freeza (2nd form)" in one team, should be able to restrict this sort of things in tournaments as well....

So, that's pretty much what I hate about tournaments in Tenkaichi, as I'd love to replay some fights from the 21st - 23rd tournament [example: Jackie Chun is in-game as a costume, but you can't even play a fight "Goku vs. Jackie" in the tournament ring Oo).

Yeah, well...
Playing at my friend's, I have ignored the tournament mode as much as possible and I'll do it as well, when I get my own copy...
Apart from unlocking things, it may be fun to play with friends or just for some random battles with ring-out-possibility.
But for replaying "canon" tournaments - plus the fact that you can't use it in VS. mode again - it is not very convenient...

Wah, sorry for the long text, but I just hate these facts as much as I think it is quite some fun to play with up to 8 humans in a "party tournament" ^^

Fantastic, tournament mode sure sucks now. I pre-ordered the game and it got delayed 2 times, plus if been looking for pages of the stores around me and basicly all of them don't even have the game listed and the ones that have say "soon". I'm tired of waiting for this stupid game, I just wanted a new game to play dammit.

Hm, I noticed a fun glitch in story mode today.
When I watched a friend beat the GT saga, he fought this evil "fire"-Shenlong (you know, this fast one).
After transforming to SSJ4, Goku first still sounds like a Kid, then he has his adult voice as he should have.
But during these "story" sentences spoken during the match, he sometimes still sounds like a Kid ^^

Quite funny^^

Probably because either Nozawa-san didn't know which form she was dubbing or because the lines are specific to the fight and not the form.

That is, assuming you're talking about the Japanese version ;)
