8 DLC Characters for FighterZ

By new material I mean Super, which is the face of current Dragon Ball. Dragon Ball Heroes is for fans, in that game everyone and their mother has the SSJ transformations. Nappa getting SSJ3 doesn't mean he's being actually marketed, it's just the game cycling it's characters.
Episode of Bardock is more than 6 years old.

FighterZ is for everyone not made specifically for Dragon Ball fans. That's the key difference. You can't expect it to be like Extreme Butoden which has a more limited scope.

Honestly I give Raditz more chances to be in than Bardock at this point. The only thing that could change the situation is the new Dragon movie, there's a chance it might bring Bardock back into the spotlight.

Bardock is still a very popular character, even more popular than Super characters in Japan, if this poll gives any sort of indication and is to be believed:

And though I would like to see Bardock AND Raditz in this game, Bardock is more likely to be in it.

Who I predict: Broli, Bardock, Vegetto (Super Saiyan with ability to transform into Blue), Kafla, Jiren, Goku ("Ultra Instinct"), Goku (regular), Vegeta (regular).

Who I would personally like: Muten Rôshi, Goku (kid), Tao Pai-Pai, Piccolo Daimaô, Raditz, Dr Gero, Dabra, Mr Satan. Basically the most prominent remaining DB+Z characters.

Most likely I will be fine with whoever they put in, though.

Sort of a mix of hopes and expectations here, but my list would have to be:

8. Sol Badguy from Guilty Gear

I know that last one's a bit out there, but I found out quite literally within the last two hours that Trunks and Cell share their seiyuus with Johnny and Ky Kiske respectively from Guilty Gear, which makes me giddy over the idea of special intros with Sol and those two. They'd probably have to alter his moveset to fit with DBFZ's button layout, but we live in a world where the Ninja Turtles are in a DC game and we've gotten our first Capcom and SNK crossover in years in fucking Tekken game, so anything's possible.

I don't know if they said that characters would be implemented in sets of two at a time, but that's how I see it for now.
And in that case (or even if it's just one by one), they might want to start with specific, expected characters.

They're gonna want people who don't have a season pass to be seduced by the prospect of upcoming DLC judging by the first one, and people who did pay the season pass to feel like they won't regret it judging by the first batch of DLC.

Therefore, I don't think they'll start with audacious picks such as the unusual Janemba or Roshi, that they might rather keep for DLC 2, 3, etc...
There's a good chance they'll try to make a striking first impression by having either beloved classics that didn't make the original cut (Broly, Bardack, Vegetto...) or impress people by having very recent ones such as Caulifla, Kale, Kafla, Cabba, Vegetto Blue...

They don't want people to think from the first DLC announcement "what, I paid for THIS kind of character that's not even among the most popular / iconic / powerful / recent ones???" or "is that low-class character supposed to be worth extra money?".
I think they'll have someone very predictable (like guaranteed success) for the first pack, and then be cool with more audacity for the rest.

So, I would like to ask Mike (VegettoEX) his take on the subject with two questions:
1) Who do you EXPECT to be DLC for this game?
2) Who do you WANT to be DLC in this game?

And a question for everyone here,
Assuming sales for the game (and the DLC) do very well, could we expect a second season of DLC characters or even story content?
I only bring this up as Xenoverse 2 is continuing to have content support soon to be two years after release (which is impressive for a Dragon Ball game) and since this game is looking to be a hit, then it should stand to reason FighterZ could receive the same support.

01. Broly - Because it's Broly, his power is maximum... Opinions aside.... he'll sell.
02. Bardock - Assets from Goku & Black can be borrowed.. easier development.
03. Vegito - It's Vegito, effortless kicks please.
04. Majin Vegeta - Teenage angst and badassery.
05. Janemba - Sword, dimensional rifts, game play.
06. Jiren - He's new and cool... basically the post launch Hit.
07. Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta - shock and awe of including GT characters... Red hair before it was cool.
08. Omega Shenron - Best villain from GT, could see it coming in a pack with SSJ4 Gogeta.
