People tend to forget about that cool Vegeta's episode which hasn't aired yet and it's not episode 127 so it only leaves EP's : 128, 129, 130, 131.
I am sure EP. 131 will be just the conclusion so we've got either EP. 128 or 129 or 130. That what makes me think Vegeta will survive 'till the end.

Toshio didn't write EP. 126. It wasn't that episode, although it was also coolMajinVegetaPD wrote:I was assuming his "cool" episode was 126 that just aired? It would be a dues ex if Vegito beats Jiren. People are tired of fusions constantly being used to bail the characters out.

No one said it has to be fusion. They can work together though.

Yes because super has always paid off what they laid out.Mercenary wrote:Kefla wasn't introduced for no reason. Also Beerus was kinda happy that they have Potara earrings so they can keep it if something screws up.
The real question is (if Vegeta appears at all ofc) - Whether Vegito will appear BEFORE Goku mastering UI or AFTER Goku mastering UI.

You didn't pay attention dude. After Caulifla & Kale fused there was a scene where Shin was talking something that he is glad they've also got Potara earrings.

Considering we've been building toward the inevitable rematch of UI Goku and Jiren with the possibility of mastering/further evolving the form, I doubt we'll see him. I honestly think Vegeta will go out after 17, and we'll get the Goku/Jiren rematch, then maybe see what happens with Frieza
Of course you having UI Goku in the avatar has nothing to do it at all
I have it as my avatar because I like that particular scene. I also had Jiren for a while and Broly before that.
That being said, Vegito was never planned to appear in Toriyamas draft. Now whether Toyotaro made the change or Toei did, who can say. And maybe he will make a return. Again, I highly doubt it since that hasn't seem to be the focus, but maybe them having a potara fused character in prior episode was a means to do so. Or, we'll see a return of Ultra Instinct
You also have to remember that Goku and Vegeta don't like to fuse. They only did it when they absolutely had to. And from a writing perspective, fusing is not a very efficient method to ensure victory in the Tournament thus far. Yes Kefla happened but that resulted in Kale and Caulifla being tossed at the same time.
Case and point, it's highly doubtful Vegito will return but time will tell

Cool is subjective. What Toshio-san was talking about could literally be anything! If you ask me, there have been LOADS of cool - extremely cool Vegeta moments these past couple of weeks. So take your pick.Mercenary wrote:MrBlackFox wrote:Well, Vegeth could last seconds before in full power before defusing, but if Goku and Vegeta will see no way out, could try to fuse just for an outstanding full power Attack in order to eliminate Jiren

Re: Shirtless Vegeta = Vegito
Could we for once maybe see the sensible option being used and succeeding? Maybe after a long and grueling battle, Goku becomes desperate enough to try the Mafuba; only instead of trapping Jiren in a rice cooker, he directs the ensnared alien out of bounds. Vegetto could also work but I'm not too sure if Vegeta would be willing to merge with Goku.precita wrote:It would be a dues ex if Vegito beats Jiren. Re: Shirtless Vegeta = Vegito
This 'cool' Vegeta episode is probably no longer happening. I'm pretty sure that was for an episode intended to be after the ToP before they decided to end Super. Unless Toshio pops up as a writer in the next couple of episodes, there's no chance.Mercenary wrote:MrBlackFox wrote:Well, Vegeth could last seconds before in full power before defusing, but if Goku and Vegeta will see no way out, could try to fuse just for an outstanding full power Attack in order to eliminate Jiren

Re: Shirtless Vegeta = Vegito
What a crazy story that'd be; if this cool Vegeta scenario were an episode that got cut due to Super ending. I'd wonder for a while what it would've been about if that's the case.
If your script gets unused due to the show being cancelled, I'd hope you'd still get paid.

Vegeta and Goku only fuse when their foe is also a fused being. No way they'd do this.

I get it that people like Vegito/Gogeta because 'OMG... they are so cool and serious and badass!' (they are pretty shallow characters actually, like they have the personality depth of a toaster), but they're not coming back. Not unless they want to recycle the Zamasu arc. Which is not a problem, i guess, since it was the best arc in Super by a wide margin.
Akira Toriyama, DBS vol.4 joint interview with ToyotaroAt his core Zamasu is good like Shin, though I guess you could say he was so fastidious that it backfired. But you know, for this "Future Trunks Arc" you had to depict Zamasu and Trunks' inner conflict, right? If this was back when I was drawing the manga myself then I doubt if I could have done it. I mean, I'm not very good at depicting the characters' psychology on the page. So this all came together because now I only have to think up the story. [...] On my own, I doubt I would have been able to express Zamasu's fall to the dark side.

I've seen this repeated a couple times on youtube. Its always face palm inducing when I see it pop up
Things are always subject to change
At the start of the tournament of power there were plans to do another arc too
And now here we are and Super is ending
In fact Geekdom said he was told that it wasnt until just a month ago that they decided to put Super on hiatus. It was very abrupt
A lot of stuff has likely been cut out, and even downsized (which explains why things are feeling a bit rushed now)
Eposide 121 was likely the last eposide of Super for Toshio
Keep in mind when Toshio put that tweet out, he was refrencing Goku talking about what happens if you kill somebody whos already dead
It was obvious that Toshio "had" written something about Vegeta thinking about killing Frieza whos already dead, or killing him.
How could something like that ever happen in-tournament during? It wouldnt make any sense. DQ plus taking away numbers from your own universe and hurting the chances of surviving. Its clear it was a scene that Toshio had written for post tournament.
As you said, thats likely been cut out now
Heres even more concrete proof of how there has been many drastic cuts made since the announcement. The original plan was for the tournament boxset to end at eposide 133. It was cut down to 131 after the sudden cancellation announcement

The producers told us when the arc was ending and were subsequently coy about it's future.
Kitaro has been in production for what seems a while to the point it has a PV plus it's on an anniversary so not a random replacement and if DBS was "cancelled" this wouldn't have been possible. (DBS had a rushed production and never got a proper PV until it was close to airing).
As for BDs originally #133 was supposed to be on March 25th however there are two breaks for Marathons meaning #131 will air on March 25th. DBS was always suppsoed to end on that cour with Kitato taking over Apr 1st hence the episode count being "cut" by 2 on the BDs. The initial BDs were announced months in advance remember.
It's perfectly evident this wasn't an abrupt decision do not take YTubers words for things especially when they have no proof "being told" means nothing it's not proof, told by whom? Did Toei directly tell them?

Why do people say stupid ass stuff like this? As if the majority of DB characters have complex personalities and depth(they don't). Hell U11's strongest fighter has as much personality as a rock in the anime.SupremeKai25 wrote:Yeah! And he will last only... 10 seconds!Tylerman29 wrote:It's pretty obvious UI Gogeta is coming guys.

Not to mention that Vegito and Gogeta didn't have that much screentime anyway so of course not enough personality or depth would be shown when their objective was to defeat the antagonist. Doesn't take away that you could still find a character "cool" and "bad ass" , even if they don't have a long screen time.
