It's sad in the moment, but it just means they have to make a pitstop by Namek on the way home.

This is not worst than last week if you think it is than you are becoming that guy that just has so much negativity that you just can't take them seriously anymore.
It was just as bad.
But those raises a very interesting question, dose the soul of someone killed in the "Void" travel to their afterlife?
Does this mean Freeza will be upset over 17 sacrificing himself and fight Jiren as well?

Jokes aside, whoever made those fake episode summaries up had some info correct on a few of them. Makes you wonder what else might happen in these last few episodes.

My Heart Goes Out too...... :(

.....But I have a Thought about this Being Something Else;
I don't Think #17 is Dead.

Seemed to Clean, Walking Dead Rules you have to have a dead body to be fully dead, if not it is a Great Chance you are alive.

Just Theorizing, #17 is not Dead and He might be Playing Possum to by the End Catch Jiren off guard by the end to Win the ToP.

He has no ki to sense and is good at catching opponents off guard too, so it would fit his style.

I can be Wrong, but allot of this is to clean and allot sets up for that like being played out here.
Jiren shouldve been given the Younger Toguro backstory or hell at least the Sasuke backstory to make him more interesting..
I don't see why it couldn't, or some nearby afterlife. Or they'll just use the Super Dragon Ball wish to bring back everyone killed during the tournament. I think the odds of that just increased astronomically.
Death is certainly much more of a inconvenience in Dragon Ball these days, but that doesn't mean it still can't be sad and/or shocking when it happens. It's all about execution.

I mean, at least this episode had the balls to actually kill off an important member of the Universe 7 team, unlike the previous.

So what is Jiren's wish exactly? like, just getting stronger because strength is justice or something? Meh. Although their way of thinking is different, he's still very similar to Goku in the end. The flashback helped a little and I'm glad for it, but it didn't change much tbh. Also, this confirms anime Jiren is totally different from manga Jiren unless the later is just pretending to be a good hero.
The theory of universe 11 winning and wishing everyone back is gone now too.

Anyway, seems like this is a great episode for 17 fans. Sadly the stream I was watching got terminated towards the end.

Wow, somebody died on Dragon Ball, what can you do? Yeah, we can revive him. Death has no meaning, as long as there are Dragon Balls.

That Frieza joke, complete with his theme playing, was hilarious. It reminded me of the TFS moment when Vegeta's theme started playing and Broly immediately knocked him out, ending the theme. I wonder if they'll repeat that next episode so that the goldfishes among Dragon Ball fans do not forget that he is still in, when him appearing in the final moment will be played like that freak surprise that nobody ever expected.

How was it just as bad as last episode script wise?
I'll reserve my full judgement for once the subs are out, But the 'sacrifice' was pointless and had no emotional weight to it, Jiren's backstory is awfully generic to the point they shouldn't have even bothered, Freeza feels completely different to the way he was portrayed last episode where he had regained his composure somewhat (and he was already portrayed differently compared to the episode before that) and was just brought in for yet ANOTHER cheap Namek arc reference (that seems to be all that Freeza is good for, in this arc), and the fight is being padded out to the point of annoyance considering Goku and Vegeta are spamming their stamina-heavy forms and their super moves like fucking candy even though they should be out of energy and Jiren is SOMEHOW having trouble with them despite completely destroying Goku back when he was in a healthy state.

It doesn't really mater. They're both terrible and I can't even believe a human being looked at the scrips and thought they were fine. Which one is worse is a petty distinction to make.
He's a scary thought for you.....is the guy who slaughtered Jiren's family and friends still alive?

If he is....is that because Jiren can't find him.......or is he even more powerful?
They shouldve hired Tite Kubo to do the scripts at least we couldve gotten better antagonists and fleshed out characters.

So I guess my comparison for Jiren was right.
He really IS Batman, except raised by Space Orcs. No wonder he's such a dick.
