Dr.Wheelo (Dr. Uiro) questions
I think Dr.Wheelo is a pretty good character in the DragonballZ Movie series but the question I want to ask is this. Is that really Dr.Uiro's real brain size because if it is then damn.. he cant be human.
Also off topic I dont like his Funimation dub voice.. Is it Chris Sabat that does his voice or is it someone else?

This came up somewhere else, though I'm pretty sure it wasn't the thread topic, so I wouldn't know where to look for the thread.
My theory is that his brain had been in there for so long that it had swelled like an overripe pickle.
Also, according to Wikipedia, Wheelo was voiced by R. Bruce Elliot.

I actually liked the original Pioneer English Dub voice of Dr. Wheelo. As for his brain size, for all we know the guy had a hideously deformed cranium when he was human. Maybe that's just "how smart" he is, to have a brain that big.
I doubt it would "swell up" to a size like that, no matter how long it was submerged in liquid. There's also the possibility that he had his own brain removed like Dr. Gero did, and preformed experiments on it making it bigger and increasing its processing power and capacity, and whatnot.
Seriously, it's a movie, so we get to use our imagination. The answer to this question you asked? There's probably as many answers as there are fans of Dragonball Z.

I agree - Dr. Wheelo is about the only character where I much prefer the Pioneer actor.
Glass refraction could be an answer - I never even thought of that one, I always thought maybe the Doctor was really big, like bigger than the Ox King or something.

As a med student I have seen brains (yes, from humans) that have been put in formaline i 20 years or so, without swelling, so that was the most correct answer scientifically.NeptuneKai wrote:Why didn't I think of that? thats a good answerGodo wrote:As someone has told once, I think it's glass refraction:
I guess, being in that robot body, he had oxygen and nutrient supply sufficient for thousands of years. If the whole body is shut down, only minimal supplies of glycogen and oxygen is needed to keep the brain alive.
If you are frozen down, you can be without oxygen in 10 minutes. It has happened before with people falling into ice lakes unconsious.
But still, the cells in the body gets oxidated, that also includes the brain cells. Going by that he was young (e.g. his brain was young), he could surely survive with the technology he had.
