Jokes aside, I have mixed opinions about this form.

With Gohan's aura being the way it is I thought if anyone would get this color it'd be him.

I really think instead of bringing in 4 recolors they should've just went back to basics and had Goku and Vegeta be able to use their full power in base like Gohan while relying on techniques (which is what we thought they were doing with UI Omen) instead of just raw power that's reflected through colors.

I gotta give the anime credit for spicing up the form and making it much more distinct. Toriyama's illustration of Mastered Ultra Inistic is a literal recolour, and I find that disappointing. Although, from a narrative perspective, I think it's still a bit too early for Goku to master Ultra Instinct. But, eh, Goku is a martial arts genius, I guess.

It's the same mistake they made with SsjG, instead of finding a way to keep it around longer they jumped right to Blue and now they same thing is happening now. UI Omen looked so badass and new that it should've been used for at least another 2 arcs before being completed. Now they'll just have to find a 5TH recolor.

It really is Goku Blanco. I'll be damned. I'm really glad the anime spiced up the design a little by spiking his hair up. Toriyama's is just a recolor of Super Saiyan God. It looks like the anime version's a little more silvery too.

To be fair, Super Saiyan God lost its mystique in it's very first battle against Beerus. And with villains/antagonist even stronger set to be introduced, they needed to find a way for Goku and Vegeta not to fall behind. That's why Super Saiyan Blue became a thing.

Toriyama's design is quite literally a white haired Goku, maybe a little hint of silver, but the anime one is quite literally a silver haired Goku, maybe a little hint of white..
What the hell is this..

I prefer Toriyama's design any day, but honestly I would rather not have had any color change at all to his hair or eyes..

I'm finding Goku Blanco's appearance hilarious. Just like I found Kale going full Broly hilarious one year ago. I am supremely disappointed, but somehow I find it so bad that I can't help but laugh. (The black-haired UI is vastly superior in design if you ask me.)

That was just wiseful thinking,just like when God ki was introduced and we thought it would be a nice idea to reset the playing field and allow the others to keep up.
Sadly both cases were never meant to be.

They could've just had their levels be closer to Red's. Toriyama said in an interview (the history book one) that one reason he ended DB back in the day was because he couldn't think of a way to make Goku stronger than he was which is what we're seeing now as these recolors aren't the most original ideas. The problem with DB is that it's too merchandise focused so they want new ssj forms all the time but when you have as many as you do now it just goes into meme territory. DB was never focused on Ssj forms even after they were introduced and it should've stayed that way because the form was never used to sell merchandise like it does now.

That would probably work better if the golden line was abolished entirely after Blue was a thing.

He changed his facial expression a bit. Even his hair is the same; it's not as messy as Toei's design.

Barely make out they're the same ? the only slight difference is the look on his face but everything else form the hair, clothes and body is the exact same copy paste from his SsjG design.
