My crunchyroll is blocked .. I had to read the summary here ,glad that vegeta donate some energy to Goku although that’s not a surprise again .. I don’t want freeza to be a big part of u7 victory please
There's plenty of reasons to dislike Vegeta and how forced he felt this arc with his repetitive speeches. The writing did him no favors. It was pandering. Plain and simple.
I respect your opinion , IMO I like those speeches that implyes never give up no matter if clearly your opportunity to success it’s far from easy , pride and self steem it’s a nice value until the end and I guess that’s why I like vegetas character, but I understand that people that don’t share that opinion dislike vegetas role in this arc and Have a bad time
It was as if a whole lot of people ...were screaming in pain....

I thought the episode was meh, best thing was the Jiren reaction face and the other gods finally talking again. Also I gotta wonder why couldn't we have had characters bruised throughout the tournament? I understand that they can't show blood like they used to but I would gladly take bruises over characters looking scuffed up.

But we know the Future trunks was not an idea he came up with himself. He gives vague outlines. Designs that even in his laziest days would shatter and he is incredbly laxed with the anime and i know that because there has never been one interview were Toriyama has said no to them.

He simply does not care. Even if he doesn't say it, you can tell by his actions. Unless you truly believe he is trying.
He only said the Future Trunks Saga came from a suggest and we don't even know what the hell the suggesting was.

He does care, otherwise he would have never came back to Dragon Ball to begin with. This isn't rocket science.
You cannot say he does when he literally traces over his design.

hell, even Yamamuro did the exact same thing with the anime design.
As you said, actions speech louder than words. If he didn't care, he wouldn't be back in Dragon Ball and wasn't for over two decades.

Goku barely took a backseat in the Buu saga, at best he took a leisurely stroll round back while everyone else cried for him to come back.

If you want an actually well-written anime with complicated strategies and deep characters you should definitely watch it.

I feel underwhelmed, and there's a break next week making this feeling last longer. I thought I would be sad to see Super end but at this point I just want it kinda over with now.

Hope Goku's final fight is good.

I might point out that today Vegeta did his last chronological Final Flash because in GT he NEVER uses one. They are all Final Shine Attacks that are dubbed as Final Flashes if he says it.

And no Gamma Burst Flash that people were expecting it, for some reason.

Still, I'm glad I won't have to see Vegeta spamming Final Flash anymore. Such technique was just cool and a symbol of strength back in Dragon Ball Z, it has now been reduced to a generic Ki blast.

He was really sad this arc, he only got a new form, took down a destroyer level fighter and put up a great fight against Jiren till the very end, is now the 3rd strongest fight within the 8 universes among other things.
July 9th 2018 will be remembered as the day Broly became canon.

This is why people are the worst. Those attacks on Toshio-san. What was he supposed to do? Make Vegeta fart Jiren out of the stage for them to be happy?

As a fellow Vegeta fan, i understand their rage. This episode really dragged on in the Vegeta half. Its just a rehash. Vegeta thinking of others, trying to do everything, losing and acknowledging that he couldnt keep his promise. Just a different take on Kid Buu ending. The Goku half was much better.

If this is Toshio's "Cool Vegeta episode", i'd have preferred Vegeta to truly kill himself taking down Hakaishin Toppo. That would have made much more sense, and would have been more impactful. They really dragged him down, unlike 17 who got a perfect sendoff

This is atrocious behaviour on their part, its not only stupid, but also incredibly rude, especially after he literally said "DB fans are the best".

To put it frankly, its pathetic and inexcusable behaviour.

The comments they posted on his twitter page are beyond anything acceptable. He never did them anything and no, not writing a Vegeta episode they like better is not doing something bad to them.

I'm not supporting them at all. But this is far from a "cool Vegeta episode". That came 2 weeks ago.

I agree that it would have made more sense for him to go out double KO vs Toppo. That way they could have let him go at his peak rather than having him fight Jiren in his Base Form.

The episode did from a narrative aspect a good job portraying Vegeta's last stand. It does not matter that he could not do anything. He was fighting for what's precious to him, stayed true to himself. This episode one more highlighted just as the my Bulma episode or the fight against Toppo that Vegeta is indeed an absolutely changed character since vol. 17/18. His last stand actually meant something and it did indeed just like he did against Toppo show that he has something likeable about him beyond the arrogant ass that seems cool at times. He could not do anything against Jiren. But that was not the point anyway.

Vegeta pulled a 300 end scene today.
