I just feel that I should mention this one word line. It's completely random and I forget if it was even different in the original version. But the way John Burgmeier (Tien) delivers this line is so funny and awesome.

When Tien is training on King Kai's planet. There's this one scene where he's chasing after Bubbles with that giant hammer. Bubbles then runs onto the table where King Kai is eating and Tien smashes the table as Bubbles dodges and runs off. Tien then turns around and screams "MONKEY!!!!"

Now then as for another line this one line in the when Vegito gets absorbed. Again, it's mainly for delivery. Kibitokai says...

"This is it...there's no one left...This is...the end"

You're right; I'm going to make a petition to get Season 1, 2 and 3 jokes in Dane Cooks next stand up routine. The Funimation dub is obviously the best thing since sex and sliced bread. Thank you for opening my eyes. I'm sure I just couldn't see the inner most meaning in jokes like "HA HA YOUR SHOELACES ARE UNTIED" and "MY GRANDMA'S ONE TOUGH COOKIE!" but you sure can....you sure can.

Thing that was way better in the dub than in the original version

Nappa: 'Hey Vegeta, what does the scouter say about his power level?'
Vegeta: 'IT'S OVER NINETHOUSAND!'
Nappa: 'WHAT!? Ninethousand!? There's no way that can be right.'

Season 2 (Ocean dub)

Freeza: *to Zarbon* "There are three things I hate more than anything: cowardice; bad hair-cuts; and military insurrection. And unfortunately, our friend Vegeta sports all three."

Dunno why I thought this was so funny, but it just sounded that way when Pauline Newstone as Freeza uttered it.

Minor correction: "There are three things I refuse to tolerate. <list> And it is unfortunate that our friend Vegeta possesses all three."

Man, I absolutely hate that song that plays in the dub when android 19 and 20 show up, it completely ruins the mood. Anyway, I agree with a lot of the moments mentioned in this thread. (the movie 12 one was great haha) I think the scene where Goku comes back from the dead for the tournament during the Buu saga begins was pretty well done, and the music for it wasn't half bad either.

You know the joke is, it's a Thread that talks about what's better in the dub and some people come on here and still trash it. If it were the "Japanese version better than dub" and I came in there and trashed the Japanese version, the responses I'd get would be, "just don't come into the Thread if you don't agree with it."

Season 3

Jeice: *when several of Freeza's peons are digging a hole to put the Dragonballs in* "Dig with style, mates! You're not any ordinary convicts, you're the Ginyu!"

Don't know why, but that just sounded funny.

I have only one for now, but I love it. In movie 13, when Goku says that to open Tapions music box, they need to find the dragonballs, he says it in the best way that anyone could've said it, ever.

"I know! We need...balls!"

Will have to say I loved Mr. Sabat's voice for the Dictator. It was hilarious.

I also like the Funimation Yajirobe over the original Japanese VA

I remember it well.

In Movie 8, when Vegeta returns with Brolli, and see's Goku there for the first time in the movie. Goku and Brolli have a sort of "stand off" I like this part better in the dub.(Mostly just because of the BGM used in that part...we'll...entirely because of the BGM used in that part.)

Time for round two-
I thought the whole X.S Cash name pun was funny and an improvement off of the Japanese version. I also think a lot of the dubbed Mr. Satan lines are a lot funnier in English then in Japanese. Oh and “I’M THE BEAN DADDY!” Came so far out of left field it was hilarious.

I went to watch this movie (to hear this for myself-lulz) and I noticed something weird. When Gohan and Videl are returning to the classroom, there's a girl who looks an AWFUL LOT like GT's Bra sitting in the back row.
He (Gohan) is weaker. He has the fighting spirit of a wet noodle soaked in water until it barely resembles a noodle. A pebble is tougher than Gohan, because you could conceivably trip on a rock and stub your toe, while Gohan would yield like so much melted pudding. Vanilla pudding. Because he's too pansy-ass to have a strong flavor if he was pudding. Pure water has more flavor than hypothetical Gohan-pudding.

.... I think I lost where I was going there.
