Badly done OC's make my head hurt.

It also makes me think of those awful highschool-setting summaries I used to see on ff.net.

One of the reasons I started writing was to get away from schoolwork.

Oh, wow....I can only hope that their totally cliched new characters are only limited to a couple of scenes that lead to character establishment for the existing cast (it seems Agundes is only in 2 scenes from the description). Like, these will just be some bullies that pick on Gokuu or pick on some other kid and Gokuu beats them up to show the audience his strength or whatever.

I guess it's too much to hope that if they do throw in original characters that they could stick the the pun naming theme that was present in the series. As far as I can tell, Agundes and Cary Fuller don't have any pun-filled meaning.

Every time I start convincing myself that this movie will turn out fine, new stuff like this shows up to dampen my enthusiasm....but I'm still sure that I'm going to go see it opening day regardless of quality

Except that Paul Verhoeven, and Edward Neumeier managed to present it in an enjoyable way imo.

His name has nothing to do with his ethnicity though, his name is only "Son Goku" because he was adopted by Son Gohan. If he was adopted by Dr. Brief, who's to say his name wouldn't be "Trunks"? I don't exactly see many Asians (or white guys for that matter, just to be fair) named "Kakarotto".

Plus Asia doesn't exist in Dragon Ball.

of course, the article mentions something about this not being confirmed, so don't necessarily take this to heart yet.

Has anyone else been having trouble dealing with this yet? I mean, the whole "DBZ Movie" thing? After years of training myself to just respond "Look, there is no live action Dragonball movie, it's a FAKE! Your internet rumor sites are fake, the message board you read it at was a lie, ect ect", it's just so hard to believe that this is really happening now.

Despite seeing stuff in print in USA Today (which I read almost every day) I won't completely believe they're going through with it til trailers start coming out for it.

I'm going with that, too. I mean, there's already Piccolo (and Mai?) as the head baddies, so what other role would this guy end up being? It'd probably be something like that scene in the first Spider-Man movie, when Peter fights the school tough guy and flaunts his spider powers for the first time.

Interesting...

I guess in terms of looks, she can pull off Bulma, though I've no idea about her experience acting-wise. Though reading the article...

"...she had her own music show, has modelled for men's magazines and starred in Gabriel Garcia Bernal's directorial debut Deficit."

... I'm not so sure. But as mentioned, it's not confirmed, so there's no real need to take this to heart.

Eh, I think she's too skinny to do Bulma, but that's sort of a minor complaint. Anyway, I can't believe this is happening.

All I can say is that this young man's parents hated him and thought him an accident. This led to great anger issues and later psychological problems which is why he gets into fights so much. Not because we Latinos are violent and always deflowering your young madens...we prefer REAL WOMEN. Getting back to our troubled little cholo, this all makes sense and with his teachers making fun of his accent and his lack of good english speaking ability. I swear I didn't write that.
