This picture (fan made Gohan Blanco) of how white really looks like for Dragon Ball. Migatte no Gokui mastered is silverish/gray/grey.

Man, it's really weird to think that a meme is now canon...

But Toriyama takes his ideas from memes and fan arts in the first place.

Another one? Really? Isn't this like the 5th or 6th new transformation we've gotten within the past two arcs? There's been so much overexposure to new forms in the past few years that I just can't get excited for this stuff anymore, especially when their designs are so uninteresting and uninspired.

Just want to comment this kind of reaction. In Z we had litterly every arc a transformation after the saiyen saga and now in Super you have problems with that?

Android/Cell: ssj2
Buu: ssj3 and Mystic Gohan

Beerus saga and RoF (The movie came with this not the anime) ssj god and ssj blue

U6 vs u7 saga: none

Zamasu sag: none

Universal survival saga: technically only 2 transformation hyper blue Vegeta and mastering UI (normal UI is a new form but it will be gone after Goku Mastered UI so its part of the Silver/white transformation.

So whats your problem again?

U6: Blue Kaioken (ok, not a form)

Zamasu: SSRose, SSRage

Universal survival: SSBerserk, Ultra Instinct Omen, Ultra Instinct, Vegeta's random transformation.

Not to mention every other villain/rival has to have a transformation like Freeza, Toppo, majority of ToP fodder and others.

I get why people find this troubling.

Transformations became "a part of Dragon Ball" by the Cell arc. Freeza arc, at the earliest. That's when the series was already 60 to 70% done. The other, larger half of the series was devoid of transformations, or at least had very little of them.

Okay here we go:

Saiyan saga: Vegeta Ape form,
Namek: Zarbon transformations. Freeza 1 2 3 transformations.

Trunks saga: mech freeza

Cell saga: ssj bulky Vegeta and Trunks. Cell first, second, third, final, perfect form.

Buu saga: Buu fat buu skinny buu kid buu super buu gotenks buu mystic.

If we are counting villains right?

I was referring to the Z warriors. There is no difference between Super and Z transformation wise. The ToP saga are 80 fighters and last arc of Super. Expect there to be some transformations!

You said it yourself 2 whole arc's no canon transformation for the good guys.

And about the movies, my point was after 20 or so years after dragon ball z ended its logicall to have a new concept (the GoD's)

Transformations became "a part of Dragon Ball" by the Cell arc. Freeza arc, at the earliest. That's when the series was already 60 to 70% done. The other, larger half of the series was devoid of transformations, or at least had very little of them.

Had little of them, but the point is they were ALWAYS part of the Dragonball lore. Starting with Goku transforming into Oozaru and Roshi turning into his "max power" mode, to Launch changing forms, to Man-wolf transforming against Jackie Chun, to Oolong transforming into anything. All from the very beginning, transformations have been a STAPLE of the series, not an byproduct of it.

I dislike there is no back spike, but it looks like he is charging up so the wind will probably be blowing down on his hair so I guess it makes sense.

Yup, he's charging. Either you like Toriyama's hair design or Yamamuro's, both of them work thanks to the wind lol
